My wife and I became members of the DG family in March 2013. We did the Boots on the Ground and attended the Buying Summit in April 2013. I was on the verge of another layoff at my "9-5" job and we were ready to go in a different direction. After the Summit we were pumped. Had 5 properties under contract in May. Perhaps a combination of a lack of experience and not doing proper groundwork all the deals fell apart. I must say it took the winds out of our sails. Then with serious family issues we reverted back to our comfort zone. I know once we do that first deal everything will fall into place and our confidence will zoom. No more comfort zone for us as the layoff threat has resurfaced.
