Newbies in Orlando, Florida and excited!!

Hello everyone at DG!! Smiling we are Liz & Anthony Lyn and though I bought DG books last yr a lot has happened in both of our lives unexpectedly. But after watching last Thursday & Saturday's live video we are very interested in changing our lives around through R.E. with DG and all of you who are such a positive influence. Anthony is the only sole income provider in our household and it is not enough, we are struggling and so decided to cash in his 401k so that we can place it as a down-payment to join PMI academy. I have been watching the videos over and over again and reading his books. I know in my heart that we can do this by the Grace of God. Really excited!!

Calling my first "for rent"

Too easy.

Today I saw a for rent sign on a vacant commercial property. Two buildings 6,500sq/ft. with some bay doors surrounded by a fence. Great road frontage on a major road in a booming area.

For the practice, I decided to call and ask a few questions. I wasn't scared but I was unsure. I asked if he might be interested in selling? "NO, not at this time. So I asked how much he was renting it for. He said it had been at $4,500/mo but with the economy, he would accept $4,000/mo with a two year lease. I said it sounded quite fair.

Day 9

I spent most of my day being frustrated at my other business's problems and lack of speedy resolutions to them. I figured that instead of being frustrated and aggravated all day, I should start my REI work earlier in the day. ( My butt now hurts from sitting in front of the computer for so long Laughing out loud )
I spent some time responding to some forums and checking out things on this site that I haven't done before. I spent a good bit of time at the Property Assessor's website checking out the list of names I got from my SFL system and the cash sales list I got from the only responding (so far) agent. I think I found about 4 "heavy hitters" and will start putting together my letter to send. Will also design my

The Edge 2011

I received my package just when I was getting ready to leave out of town. I will have 16hours to listen to it. And tomorrow is my birthday, what a way to spend it! I will be feeding my brain because last year I was being convinced that I am no good.

I am so excited! I know this is it! I will put 100% effort and no one is going to make me feel different. God is with me and I feel this team is going to help me all the way!

I watched all the videos and most of the live event. I had to catch some of the live event on replay. I was so inspired!

I stuck my neck out and sent a letter to several real estate offices in Wisconsin where my daughter is attending college. The main one that has responded manages my daughters residence (five rooms in a shared house). It appears that we are going to work well together. They manage as well as can recommend rehabbers. I asked for the MLS listing of cash buyers in the area and she said she would work on that for me.

Now I'm just nervous that a deal will present itself before I find a buyer.
