Hello Dean,

I just got off work today and saw your blog, and I have to comment that it made me cry and very emotional. I always get depressed before or after Christmas and even though my father isnt here on earth anymore it always makes me blue. Toaday's blog is the best one yet in my opinion. It made me think of being thankful for my new DG family. And allthough I am a newbie and have not made my first deal yet, I will now focus on my plan of attack for financial freedom in 2009. Thank You Dean for your blog today, It made me sad but then picked me up from the dirt.
I was feeling like a failure because I just cant get my first deal in order. Every morning when I have to go back to the grind(job) I feel like Im not winning the struggle more like the Boss is Owning more and more of my life and time. It is the TRUTH when I say I was feeling very depressed and wanted to quit on Real Estate, because of all the No's I got last week. But keep up your blogs of inspiration I will like you say Push on and Move forward.

Your Student,
Lily

Thanks Dean!

Thank you for honesty in sharing your life with us. It is what makes you YOU and so very special. Your being so involved with all of us via the internet is so inspiring and means more to me than you will ever know. You are truly one of the most giving people I know, and your obvious intent help us all be successful is what drew me to you the first time I saw you on TV and over time that has been reinforced through all you do. You certainly are successful enough that you dont have to take the time from your busy professional and personal life to help us all, but you do. You are an inspiration to me not only to be successful in real estate, but in all other phases of my life by living each day with integrity and the intent that my actions bring good to everyone I deal with. You are a living example of 'the more you give, the more you get' and you deserve it all!
Happy New Year to you and yours!
Laura

Great blog Dean, it takes alot to open up to people and share past experiences that aren't so great. But it does offer encouragement to other struggling with similiar issues. Of course no family is perfect and even in scripture it says "the battle is in the home" but in resolving these issues we learn more from them. I've had my family bouts in the past but I like to think I'm making progress with it and teaching my brother as we go along.
Thanks again for the blog and please keep the DG family updated! Smiling

I know you already know my story but for some reason I thought I was the only one that had those feelings at holidays. Well you put a smile on my face and aonce again made me realize that I was not alone.

echo everyone else's comments

I've been off the site for several days after closing on a home and becoming obssessed about another (which led to an offer and now a flight to Ft Myers tomorrow) but love coming back.

All your efforts are sincerely appreciated!
You have achieved unparalleled success in being a vehicle for helping other people change their lives.

Thank you. Kate

Thanks Dean

Another great video blog that helps people reflect and think about life and real estate investing and where we are headed for the new year. I enjoy rewatching these videos to pick-up on the tidbits that I miss the first time around. Also, they are very motivating and I look forward to them each week. Believe and Achieve Smiling

Your story is an inspiration to me...

Dean I just want you to know that I have heard your story about your life and I am so inspired. My parents are still married but I learned that who you were in the past and who you became in the future was your destiny. You had to go through all that crappy stuff to let the world know that just because you have a broken family, divorced parents, and no money doesn't mean that you are ultimitely doomed because look at you! You are a living testimony to anyone out there that comes from a broken home! I love you Dean, and may God continue to bless you and your family more abundantly.
