you deliver again an amazing message; finding my deep, true WHY; one of the most difficult things for me to do, but probably the most enlightening one; and right after listening to your weekly wisdom, I did it again! I will post it where I can see it every morning to help me stay motivated and focused on my goal of achieving my success!

...and I am already registered to attend the Edge 2012!!! Wooohooo!!! couldn't attend last year, but I knew then that I would definitely go this year; no matter what, I would make it happen. Making it happen now...I am so looking forward to it!!!

Anyone that reads this and you have not done the 7 levels deep exercise.....STOP right now and DO IT! It is so incredibly powerful. It was a massive turning point for me. Determining my true WHY then making a DECISION then taking ACTION is how I got free! That's it! The rest were simply following Dean's directions.

Bottom line: If Your Dream Is Big Enough....Then The Facts Don't Count!

You've got to make the pain of NOT doing it worse that any pain endured from just doing it! You'll find, it's not as tough as our imaginations (minds) thought it would be! Hardest part is getting out of our own way. Winning the battle that goes on within ourselves! And how quickly you get back up when getting knocked down.
Forget ROI, what's your BBR? (Bounce Back Rate) until that is determined there's probably not much ROI going on. lol

MAKE IT HAPPEN! Rinse and repeat!

as i was listening to your blog, i put pen to paper.tears filled my eyes as i answered more whys.
i started w/ why do u want to do this?
bcz i want to feel empowered.
why?
bcz i want to feel confident
why?
bcz i have felt broken,damaged,fragile & now i want to feel whole.
why?
bcz i want to deactivate my grandmother's voice, as much as i loved her, she has been my villain
why?
bcz i want to replace what she said that has remained branded in me for a very long time.
why?
bcz when in her rage, told me that i would never amount to anything & that i was a nobody, & that i would never be as good as my mother. that coupled w/ my mother's suicide & my father's abandonment, i broke.
why?
bcz i wanted more than anything in the world to make that not true & be wanted by them more than i could ever express.
why?
bcz in my young mind(i was about 12 yrs. old) i subconciously concluded that to be wanted, worthy ,loved i must become 'a somebody' or else i'm a nobody.

yes dean, the money, the success are symbols for something much deeper.

Thanks for another great blog Dean. I am working with a bunch of unhappy co-workers here in N.CA due to the loss of the 49ers to the NY Giants. So watching your blogs always makes me feel better.

Thats is deep! What a great way to start off the week Dean!(your w/v/b) A little motivational vitamin boost for the next day, before going to bed( ten of 12 pm Hawaii time for me here.) You are an amazing person. I know from personal experience that a person's family is the most important part of their life. My seven level's exercise turned out to be centered around my family. My parents were happily maried 65 years, and I have been married 49 years. God has been so good to me, it's time I helped my family more.
I admire you for being such a good family man. Your wife and children are the luckiest people in the world. That must make you the happiest man in the world. That within itself is worth more than any amount of money.
I used to stop there, until I met you. I now see that financial freedom Is something I never learned and was not able to pass down to my children. I am going to do something about that. If I love my family, I will give them financial freedom.

I wont burden you with the details, Dean. I just want to say thank you. To all of the DG family, I say keep the faith and stay focused. If you are on this site, then pain is a part of why you want success through real estate. Trust me, I "feel" you in that regard. Hello Dean, This really woke me up. I always read and watch your daily wisdom. I am encouraged every week and always look forward to them. But this one hit me right in the center of my heart. Ever since my dad has past away (3years) ago my world has been crumbling down. I'm just tired of being a disappointment. All I want is for my mom and dad to be proud of me. The feeling of success and paying off my moms bills and mortgage, It would make me the happiest man in the planet. And hopefully my dad would be watching. That's my dream I guess. This year has to be my year.

I remember watching your video where you went through all the steps. I wrote them down and started them, but I don't remember finishing. I will get my notes back out and finish by tomorrow night. I'm tired of being in my own way.

I know all the logical reasons for going ahead with this business, but I never let myself get very far. Will look for the deeper, emotional reason.

I started out thinking I kinda knew where I would end up as far as my true reason why, only to discover that I really was way off. It wasn't what I thought at all. It was emotional, but in a good way.

It keeps me humble and motivated.

I did this exercise when Dean first had it on his website - I believe it also was during an Edge Event. Fantastic! With Deans site I was able to print it off and it is taped to my bedroom closet door.
It is something I see and read everyday. 7 Levels Deep will keep your motor running. When things get tough, your understanding of why you are doing Real Estate Investing will keep you motivated so every day you are doing things to achieve your goal.

idid the the 7 levels, and it was very DEEP, didn't like the true pain I went threw, but you need to go threw it. to get to the other side to win the Game of life!!! I have the 7 levels on the wall in my office , and i need to start reading , or redoing the list so i could complete this task.
