The MLS is a tool that Realtors will subscribe to. They are not suppose to give their login information out. However, there are some that will still give their information out to clients so they can utilize the MLS quickly. This may help the Realtor because the investor can now be more effective. Just don't count on many Realtors if any giving you information to the MLS.

So is there any way to access the MLS without using an agent?

Good morning sunshine... LOL! The only way to access the MLS is through an agent, but some realtor websites do allow you to look through listings on the MLS, you can pull up houses by price with the ammenities you're looking for or area, etc. Well at least they used to, I haven't done it lately.

Did you know you can contact your local MLS and pay somewhere around $500 to get started using the MLS on your own. After the the initail $500 there is a low monthly fee to keep it active.
I have the paperwork my local MLS sent me to fill out. You can access most everything but exclusive listings by real estate companys. But all you really need anyway is the comps so it is well worth the $500 start up fee.

Realtor.com it mirrors the MLS but it is free.
