Federal Reserve Update

The Federal Reserve meeting this past week didn’t yield any real surprises, but did seem to telegraph that the plan is to keep the federal funds rate down unless inflation becomes a problem.
The Fed reiterated that the target range for the federal funds rate is between 0% and 0.25%, with the discount rate set to 0.75%. Some of the Fed officials have indicated that raising the discount rate could be an early strike against inflation pressures when they arise in the future.

2011 edge journey

Ok thought I would document my 2011 gain the edge event journey because I know how exciting it is to look back on a journey that takes amazing paths.
11.30 am ...today got out of work to come home to my wife who was already packed and waiting for the last 3 daycare kids to be picked up.oooops I have to shut off the phone as we r taking off so will continue in air or when we land. Got a couple more minutes. Ok we packed car from brushton ny and traveled approx 1.5 he's to plattsburg ny to meet up with my son and his girlfriend....justin and tiff.....we then went to the mall to find a island shirt .....from there.n
Jay....got to go...

Jump start to the edge......JUST SIGNED DEAL # 18

Who says you can't buy property with NO MONEY DOWN???? I just sold a mobile home, garage and lot for O down last Mnth and got 400 option money this Mnth on a lease option deal.I negotiated with the buyer by letting him clean and take ownership last Mnth for nothing with a verbal agreement to sign this Mnth a 400 option consideration...400 lease per Mnth with a total sale of 22000 with 9 % interest for 6 yrs..........total payments equal approx 28,000................!!!!!!!!! Not bad for a 6800 investment huh???
And to make it sweeter
It is one day before heading to the edge! !!!.
actually I am on my way to the airport now to head to arizona with my family.

First "Deal" Done! $2,000!!!!

I DID IT!!!

Assigned my 1st accepted offer 2 days before the contingency expired for $2,000!!! I have the check sitting right here...next to the computer!

I missed my "goal" by 8 days...but you know what? In pushing and working so hard to get this done, I have set myself on a path that includes:

1. Additional revenue streams that are building a GREAT business.
2. I have met great people and built one HECK of a buyer's list (including a VERY large "fund"...using me to procure properties!)
3. I have FINALLY gotten Mrs. Lubin on the bandwagon!
4. I have found my "niche" and am ready for number 2 (put another offer in today!).

$2,000 from about 8 hours of work. And I went low...I could have held out for more...but just wanted to get this thing under my belt!

What was your biggest challenge?

As an investor starting out, I keep running into challenges both technical and personal, and sometimes it's hard to always see the way forward and stay positive and keep working. So I wanted to know, what was YOUR biggest challenge when you were starting out or in your entire Real Estate journey? What challenges did you overcome and which do you keep facing and how did you or do you go about overcoming your challenges. How did you overcome fear and create the life you've always wanted to live?
