Catching up with your journal makes my head spin Rina ha! Its KILLIN me to be here in Jersey waitin for my house to sell....I think I might just come on out sooner and get this party started! I love that little farm house SO much...we need to talk more about if you were able to sell off some acres.....thats an awesome link you put in for Wisconsin props too....oh yes....please give me prop management co info so i can contact them about Grand Ave and take that burden off of you!

hi rina,i was hoping to get a copy of your investors letter(investors wanted for multiple properties),i know i saw it somewhere but can't find it.
i also asked carol for a copy of hers,but i think she's getting ready for a plane ride hehe.
i'm currently going back through the now book(just read through it once w/o doing the action steps as i'm doing now),and i'm sure my new book's at my po box but while i'm trying to redo the book i feel i've grasped enough to start taking real action.
i want to run my ads to get my buyers list going,i've found some promising properties but want to have buyers in place to move quick on closings.one of my many goals is to sell some properties to make enough money to get to the edge 2010 event and meet everyone,i'm so exited.
by the way rina,how do i change my journal title from tired of being scared to succeed to "no longer scared to succeed":)rob

I have noticed that you have not posted since the 11th. I am guessing you must be in Arizona helping plan and setup Gain The Edge 2010. Am I correct? I watch our posts and your journal almost religiously. We all need your update.

I am so thrilled about your wife joining you!! That's fantastic! Are we going to be able to meet her at the EDGE? (btw, you were right when you said I would kill you if you don't show up this year. LOL). I think this event will be so life-changing for you. Honestly. You think it's motivational in HERE! (which it is!). Just picture how you felt meeting Laura and multiply by 200! Well, probably even more than that. I can't describe it. Just being in the same room as Dean, and the coaches, and Matt Larson and Greg Murphy (and all the other mega-successful students), and EVERYBODY with like-minds is UNBELIEVEABLE. No skepticism, no naysayers, no dream stealers, and everyone just gushing with stories, enthusiasm, and sharing new REI tricks/secrets.
NETWORKING!!!!!!!!!!!!!! is one of the biggest factors in REI, and I will tell you, from going to the EDGE event last year I have partners, private money, knowledge that I've put into action, that I would most definitely NOT have had, had I not gone. So make sure you GET YOUR BUTT THERE!

haha! Thanks ladies. Yep, glad to know there are other addicts here! nice to have an addiction that is actually GOOD for you, adds to your quality of life, and extends your life expectancy! lol

I sure had fun teaching the class this week. (It was all-day, every day). But I sure am glad I don't have to be there all the time. (I think I'm getting spoiled living on whatever schedule I like... Naw, JUST right. lol)

Tim - Nope. not in AZ. Just been SUPER busy. Actually, I get to be as surprised as everyone else as the EDGE unfolds. I do know a few things (and can tell you it's gonna be an unbelievable event!), but I know they just keep making the pot sweeter. Can't wait!! (and I WISH I was in AZ! I've had ENOUGH of below-zero weather up here! )

Rob - I'm not sure which investor letter you mean, but I've gotten most of my local investors from either answering Craigslist ads, or answers TO my Craigslist ads. Also by word of mouth, and on DG site (especially private money on DG site). In the next post I will share an ad I ran last week to which 5 new local cash investors responded (therefore now are on my "list". ).
Oh, and to change the title of your journal (if you haven't already), just look at the top of your first post. There should be an "edit" tab that you can click on and make any changes that you want. If that doesn't work, let me know.

thanks for the help on changing my journal title,i'm sooo cumputer stupid but with help i'll get there lol.
i liked the letter that you posted,but the one i'm asking about came from either you or carol.it started with,investors needed for mutiple properties.i know it came from the now book(by the way i picked up my new book last night and was so happy to see the nmd dvd there),but whichever one of you had it had added to it and i made a mental note to return to that letter.
(guess the mental note area needs to be updated with a good gps system lol)
anyway any help would be appreciated,also does anyone have dates for this years edge?rob

I still don't know much about the details (except that Dean's team is working their TAILS off to make one EXTRAORDINARY EVENT!), but I do know this (I'm sort of sneaking this in here). The dates for the EDGE event are.... end of May... 21st-23rd!!
The tickets aren't even available yet, and I don't think it will be officially announced til next week, but MARK YOUR CALENDAR and be on the lookout for that email!! WOOHOO!!! You will not want to miss this!
I know he's picking our brains to get every detail of the techniques that are working for us right now!! I'm so excited to share mine (that I'm running with like wildfire!!) and hear everyone else's!! He's keeping us all in suspense and quaranteened our information. LOL!!! So I am gonna be ALL EARS when those other speakers get up on stage!! (the suspense is KILLING me!)

I've been on the Edge of my seat quite literally waiting for the dates!!! THANK YOU!!! I still have to catch up with your awesome journal lately, but I saw a week back or so that Laura is moving there!! Whoo hoo!!! HOW AWESOME!! Such great news. Maybe it is because you always commented about going to the REI meetings in Minneapolis, but I didn't realize you actually lived in Wisconsin until Laura mentioned she's moving there. My husband has a brother in Wisconsin who lives there with his family...we flew into Minneapolis last summer and drove...had a ball...I remember thinking of you then too...I will have to bump into you on our next trip! As far as the ad, it was real. I closed on that one on Thursday. Didn't get a PRE-buyer, so used private money to purchase, already have refi going and funds in place to rehab (plus a lot more people looking). SOO, I can either keep it, fix it myself and rent it out, OR lease/option, OR flip it, any number of options. But I LOVE that I added cash buyers to my list from running it. I also had one guy look at it and then go with me to another one I got locked up the same day, and he's buying THAT one. Cool huh?? (That's where I made my $5,000 in 5 minutes the other day! And I had JUST found out a couple hours before that the bank had accepted my offer!)

Oh, my. I had to put this in here. The local florist just called and asked when I'd be home to have a delivery made today. I asked who it was from? She read me the card. I guess the property management company that I've been sending referrals to (and I still haven't called to sign up MY properties), REALLY wants to meet me. They are sending flowers to thank me for the referrals and to "offer their services". Very sweet.. They also had offered 3 months free (which I THOUGHT was special for all new customers, but just found out was specifically for me. LOL.) Well, I gotta say, I LOVE their boldness. They will definitely be on my team once I go that route.

Here's another cool story of something that happened recently (copy of an email I sent to a friend):
"I stopped by a local bank the other day (one I haven't done business with) because I had heard they had a good investor product. Asked the receptionist if I could make an appt. to see someone. After hearing a little of what I was doing, she said "Please, have a seat, someone will be right with you". The VP came out, shook my hand, and took me to his office. We spent about 20 min-1/2 hr discussing what I needed and the products they have available. The funny thing is he asked me how many properties I have so far, and I said 17. Well, I guess I'm a little behind because I just went on the county site to check on the property tax status, and lo and behold I am up to twenty-five parcels! haha! (granted, 4 of the properties include a vacant lot, but STILL! pretty cool!)"

I am almost flabbergasted, because even one year ago, I would never have DREAMED I'd be in this position. For everyone starting out, I encourage you to KEEP GOING!! not that everyone has to have a bunch of rentals, or make a million dollars, but how cool is it to know that you CAN if you WANT to!
I am in awe every day of what faith, hard work, and the right tools (Dean's!!) can bring. Life is so good!!

I just found where you divulged the dates for Gain The Edge 2010. Shhhhhhh.
I won't tell anybody else. I have already put it in my calendar. I asked my daughter what she thought about me going to Arizona then and she said, "Dad you have got to go! Absolutely, you just have to go!" I am determined and I am trusting God to make it happen. I already have a reservation from Empowering Conversations and I intend to use it. Woo Hoo. I have 7 properties that I am homing in on and I am trusting God to make it happen so I can go to The Edge 2010. I want to get off unemployment and food stamps so bad I can taste it.

I was having Rina withdrawls again so I thought I'd stop in & say "Hi" and I saw Louisa's note...btw, I'd drive forever to meet with you all!

I'm thinking maybe we should be "CALLING ALL WI DG MEMBERS!!!" to have a networking party! How cool would that be? Seriously. Maybe we can plan something like that after the Edge event. Are you speaking again this year? Seems like I haven't talked to you in ages!! No word on the abandoned house, but I see they are throwing out a bunch of junk!
