Totally Fulfilled for Everyone who is having trouble getting started

I read it recently too! could not put it down! I have passed it on to my two sisters so they can read it too-but I did ask them to give it back after they read it-that one is a keeper!
I am following Dean's advice to be Totally Fulfiiled!

Steve . Wonderful post. I thought that that book had the "stuff" in it. I think we all need to go back a book or two from there even the find answers. He (Dean) wrote these in a progression based format. A journal if you will in sections. I'll bet there is a base to this whole thing in that book of his that had to do with selling, fixing and wholesaling used cars. Especially to a rehab person.

For responding I have read Dean's other 3 books first but when I was reading Totally Fulfilled today a light came on in my head. This is what all new or wanabe investors need to read. So many new people come to this site and think the mony is just going to start rolling in. Anyone can do this REI but it takes action. I think if people read this book they can change the things in thier life that keep them from taking action.

Veronica, our Daughter and I go the church almost every Sunday to get recharged for the next week. If church is not your thing then you owe it to yourself to read this book it will charge you up.

Wow! I love the information on this sight, I am soooo excited everytime I start reading here. So, I am builing a buyers list right now and have a few good people. A u-haul pulled into the drive way next door this evening, so I ran our and asked my neighbor if she was moving out. She said yes and that she just let the bank take her house. ( Too bad I did not know this was happening before hand) She says it need some electrical work and insulation besides some minor repairs. I beleive I have also just found an investor minded agent. On Mon. I plan to go to city hall and try to get the information of the bank that owns the property now. I am wondering, is this what I need to be doing, should I contact a title company instead, or just notify my agent that this prop. is on the bank books now and proceed with him. It would make an awsome rental prop. but unfortunatly I do not have the funds or financing yet, so will have to find a buyer. Also, when doing an assigment deal, how do you know what paper work you need to have.I hope this makes sense and is not too all over the place. Any feed back would be great.

It sounds like your ready to take off with your REI. If your agent is an investor minded agent they will be able to help you with the paper work you need. You might want to find out what bank has the mortgage and see if you can work directly with them.

Keep reading on this site and read Dean's books and it will all make since on hat you need to do to have success.

It is funny that you mentioned this book. It was my go to book that I always went back to to re-energize myself. If you read the chapter about Jeremy and I in Dean's last book it references a time when I was about to throw in the towel and I did for 2 months or so. I would go back and listen to it on audio and it would calm me down to the point where I kknew what I was doing was right, it was just the way I was doing it. Since then, we have never looked back....Jan

this book is AWESOME and i have it by my side all the time .If someone is down ,i let them borrow it and it is amazing to see the transformation after reading it .I believe this is how dean lives his life and it is exactly why he is so successful !!

This post is more for the new students on this DG site.

You have no money maybe no job or you are working at a job that you do not like.

First thing you need to do is change what is not working for you. Here is some of things I changed in my life.

Right out of high school I knew that there were not many jobs in the area I lived in. I joined the Marines for the next 4 years I knew I would have a job and would learn leadership skills that would help me for the rest of my life. Fortunately for me I was in 1980-84. I know we are at war right now so you would really want to serve your country, but if you are young enough and healthy enough to join one of our armed forces it can be an option for you to change things in your life. I know the armed forces is not for everyone but it is an option for some of you. If you do want to join make sure you talk with you family to make sure it is a good option for you. I wish I had Deans information when I was in the sevice I would be a lot farther along than I am right now.

For others here is what I had to do to get our first house. I needed to save money for a down payment to get a FHA loan to buy a house. I did not make enough money at the time to use just my income to get a VA loan. Veronica and I were not married yet and she was still living wih her parents. Veronica's Dad wanted me to have a house of my own so his daughter would have a place to live. He also wanted to make sure I would provide for his daughter. Veronica's Dad let me build a room in thier garage so I cloud save the money for the down payment. You see I went from a nice apartment to living in a room in a garage to save money for a down payment. That was a change in my life to better myself in the long run. After 6 months of living in a garage I bought my first house. If only I had Dean's information then it would have been easier to get a home for my soon to be wife.

Read the book Totally Fulfilled by Dean if you still do not now what needs to change in your life.

I know a lot of new people to this site come on here and ask a question and they get a responce like, you are new do your home work then come back with a real question.

When I was in the Marines I had this Master Sgt. that was in charge of the motor pool shop I worked in. I was having a problem with fixing a 5 ton truck. I asked the Master Sgt. about the problem and what he would do to fix it. The Master Sgt. looked at me and said. I can go over to that truck and fix the problem and what good would that be to you. Then he told me to go over to the place were we keep the repair manuals and read up on how to repair the problem I was having with that truck. The Master Sgt. knew by me reading the repair book was the better option for me, so I would know where to look the next time I had an issue with a vehical.

The point is Dean has some great books that have most of the answers in them that people come here and ask.

If you do not have Be a Real Estate Millionaire, Profit From Real Estate Right Now and Your Town Your Real Estate Profits! I would get them. They will answer so many questions for you about real estate investing. If you have these books then we can refer you to the right area in the books to help you out with your questions.

If you still don't get them I recommend reading Totally Fulflled by Dean. This book gets more into what is holding you back from making your life better.

Thank you for the helpful info. I'm new to the DG family, and trying my hardest right now begin my new life. Of course you all know most peoples reaction when you come out and tell them that you just purchased books from an infomercial and that you plan on becoming successful in RE. I took a 2 week vacation from my job to concentrate on nothing but reading DG's books and getting an idea of the field. And I got people telling me that I'm crazy and stuff like this never works....It's all I've been hearing since I started this. I'm learning to separate myself from these negative people. And that's why I am so thankful for this site and the people on it....IT KEEPS ME POSITIVE!!! I Just finished "Profit from real estate right now" and just started reading it again. Then from there I'll read "Be a real estate millionaire." I'm going to order Totally fulfilled after I post this. I know I got a long road ahead of me, but w/ DG's strategies, and all of your support I know I will make it.

This was a great post you started. We agree with you. Real estate investing is not easy and it's not a get rich quick plan. We can not stress to all enough is to EDUCATE yourself as much as possible. If you are not sure what you are getting yourself into then research more if you need it and read Dean's books again. We are actively looking at properties but not all of them are GREAT deals. You need to know what you are looking at and know your exit strategies. Best of luck to all!

Not all deals are good deals. There is a lot of research that needs to be done on every deal you look at. It is not hard you just have to take the time to do the research.

Do you work at a job that you do not really like? Is it hard to get up in the morning? On the other hand, if you are like me you work shift work. I work a 3pm-12am shift. What I have done over the past 30 plus years is do something out side of work that makes work more tolerable. We work to live, not live to work.

For me when I was working at an aerosol packaging plant in Indiana as a mechanic for the packaging machinery. I loved to go bass fishing. My focus was more on the bass fishing. By me going to work, I cloud pay for the fishing stuff I wanted. When over time was offered I would say pick me so I can buy more fishing stuff and enter more fishing tournaments. Work became more fun because it allowed me to make the money I needed to do the things in life I really wanted to do.

Now real estate is my passion so going to work allows me to make money to do deals. Yes, you can make money in real estate without a regular job and that is what I will be doing when I retire in a year or so. The point is to make work fun or tolerable. Focus on studying real estate and learning how you can make money with real estate and be able to leave the job you do not like, to do real estate investing full time.

If you are not working at this time, find an investor you can work with. If you have time on or hands go out looking for properties. Look for vacant houses and research the information on that property. If the property is a good deal for the investor, they will pay you a fee for finding them a good deal.
