Dean Graziosi Weekly Video Blog #119 - Success Lessons from… A Toddler?

Dean Graziosi Weekly Video Blog This week Dean has a unique message to share with us all.

His inspiration for the message didn't come from one of Dean's well known, wise friends.

Not from his involvement in the high dollar mastermind groups he takes part in to stay sharp.

Nope, this week the inspiration comes from a two year old.

It's good too!

Perfect Example

It's the little things we overlook. Thanks for sharing your family with us. My family is going through tough times right now, and this lesson made a lot of things come into focus for me. You're the greatest. What insight.

my first comment ??????????

i made a very personal and honest comment last night about my life situation .my two homes i have built the last 20 or so yrs with my wife. we physically built these homes and put all our heart and soul into them. Also we tried our best for our children and our overall family life and faith. Somehow ,not all things have turned out perfect. We lost our son 30 yrs old to od new yrs day 4yrs ago. our marriage has suffered since, and we sub-divided 5 acres ,re-fied our house , and built 2nd house-cedar log-now nearly finished. now in diviorce ,facing foreclosure, ive been very upset , depressed, not knowing where to turn ,i'm sure my wife feels the same and daughter, grandchildren too. now i write a comment from my heart last nite about my situation and put a few of the words in capitol letters without knowing i shouldnt per dgadmin's rules now he wont post my letter now i have nasty feeling in my soul and have resentment for what i understood your outfit stood for . i really regret having to express this to you people who on first appearnce seemed to such a great fellowship to be a part of .please someone try to straighten out this problem for us thanks very much lawrence brunelle

Dean,
Loved the blog. It is just what I needed to keep the inspiration going to perservere and know that Real Estate is THE answer to financial freedom.
Just like a little kid, you'll try things you don't know that you can't do. So...using childlike enthusiasm-you gotta go after your real estate dream like can't fail! Resolve that no person and no one thing will stand in your way!
Thanks, Dean for the great motivation, knowledge, and confidence that you constantly provide to all of us DG'ers!

My First Peddaling!!

Hello Dean,

I want to thank you for this wonderful Blog and for always keeping my head up and encouraging me that I can make a great successful career in Real Estate. This was a very good example of when we were a child learning how to ride a bike. I remember very clearly of when I was first learning how to ride and I didn't give up. I remember the nice beautiful girl that helped me and encouraged me and when I first started pedaling that bike for the first time, it was such a great feeling. I am so happy to be part of your network and having you their by my side as much as you can to get me on my first pedaling in Real Estate!

Much Care,

Thanks Dean for sharing your little one and reminding us of the simple determination we all have experienced as children. You are a very giving and special person. Thanks for your encouragement

Great blog Dean. I'm actually a cyclist and cycling mechanic myself. So the bike example of trying again until you make really resonates with me in a big way.
After a few years worth of chipping away at REI and even some note networking I'm determined more then ever to make it happen for myself and be a Matt or Dean Jr. so to speak.

P.S If you ever need anything bike related feel free to send me a pm and I'll be glad to help. Smiling

learn from a child

We always have something to learn from a child, they are our best teachers to learn from. thank you Dean I did want to quit. and it took a child to bring me back to reality. I'm still working on my lessens and I'm working up to start my buyers and sellers list, with five children its not impossible but its slow. I am learning a lot my my classes.

YES! You can do real estate without a car...

AzDego's picture

It won't be easy, but it can be done. Check out Carol Stenson's posts and see how she does it from home. Her DG ID is freeindeed.

Keep your chin up!

Tough times come to us all, but the pass too. Persist, have faith in yourself and your dreams. Rock on!

First of all, Brody is so adorable.

Secondly, wow... your message hit home with me. It reminded me of how fearless and persistent I used to be. Brought back the memories of how I learned to ride a bike that the chain kept coming off, so I carried a wrench in my bib overall pocket. I would start at the top of a small hill and when the chain would fall off, I'd end up crashing. When I would fall, I got up, popped the chain back on and started down again. By the end of the day, I was skinned and bruised BUT I learned to ride a bike. The feeling of succeeding far out weighed the cuts and bruises!

That's how I am going to tackle real estate investing. Start the momentum as riding down a hill, have knowledge or educational "tools" in my pocket, and when I mess up, get up and keep going until I succeed.

Thanks Dean!!

Simple Wisdom!

tamra's picture

Everyday people deal with everyday battles BUT when we push past our "paper tigers" (fears) and keep on coarse by NOT giving up, we will see success! ACCOMPLISHMENT is a great thing. After that, NO ONE can talk you out of your dreams!(preachin to myself) I thank God for this support network, what a blessing

Good Message!

This video was helpful to me GREAT,GREAT Job and thank you!

Dean

I been having health problem no driving my car
and little time on the computer.

Glenn

Keep on, keep on

Brody is good for a two year old, but I knew that his keeping still wouldn't last. (smile).

I have been at this real estate for some time now and I haven't quit. The job I worked at was a big obstacle. I am retired now and you are right social security has a big question mark on it for me. I have a pension but I know that one day that won't carry me through. For a year I have been getting my credit in line and paying off my credit cards with my salary and that was a job by itself. I did without a lot of things. Then the job started threatening everyone about layoffs. I looked into my finances, my health because that was failing, and worked with my CPA and discovered that I could leave on my own. Now I am devoting time to real estate. I want to thank Matt for his suggestions on the conference call. This has me setting up a template and concretizing (is that a word) what I need to put into it, who I need, etc. It becomes easy when it is typed onto a computer, you actually "see". I thought of giving up many times, but I knew that there was nowhere else to go and that no one gave me the push to keep going but you. It may take me a little longer than some, but I am going to do it.

Weekly Blogs

Hi Dean,
Thanks again for your weekly inspirations. They motivate me more than you know.
I am getting off to a slow start due to unforeseen family obstacles, and my health. I was fortunate to have my doctor clear me to fly to attend the Success Academy last February.
Living in California is not the best place to buy or sell Real Estate. So I have a plan. I come from a very large family,we are spread through out the States, including Alaska and Hawaii. My plan is to drive across country, and to visit my family and look for Real Estate in every State I visit.I know this will work out for everyone involved.
I have some money I would like to invest on quick turnovers. If the numbers & paperwork are in order I will invest.
Let's make it happen,
Mik

Thanks Dean

Thanks Dean for your motivational video's. Every time I stray away, you reel me back in. I'm working a low paying job right now, just to stay afloat, and I'm barely floating. Thanks for the video, and yes you are right, if you fall of the bike you have to get back on and try again. Well, I'm back on the bike trying again. Thanks..

Wonderful and brilliant!

Awesome as always dean i'm going to be taking that action soon i have some people that are working with me i have and rei club and wonderful people that i have met that are taking the time to get me started and i'm very excited. A little at a time but i'm getting there and i understand completely, and thanks again dean!

I have a Brody too!

Hey Dean, I have a grandson that's a little over a year old. I live in another state from him but have been with him for 3 months now. He falls alot and even cries about it but he gets back up and tries again. I think we would think it was strange if he didn't! He was hurt really bad a few weeks back and we had to take him to the ER but it didn't stop him! I've heard people say, "Stop crying like a baby" Well maybe we should be like a baby-Cry about it if we need to but keep on trying. Thanks for sharing your Brody with us. Audrey

Hello

I have gone to another investor's work shop that flips houses and although I did learn some things I didn't know I am still trying to get started. They wanted to sell you another program that would mentor you at a very high cost.So I am trying to reach someone at your success academy & hopefully join your mentor program as I believe you are the only one out there that really wants to help persons like myself.I have read all your books,(and everyone elses) but need that little extra push to put it all together that a mentoring program would provide. Thanks

Brody's Reminder

randrew's picture

Thanks so much Dean, for the reminder to us all, that anything worth doing takes persistence and tenacity.

Sometimes, as adults, we tend to forget those simple, yet valuable lessons, that, as children, came so naturally.

Thanks for keepin' it "real" Brody!!

Your son, Brody

Hi Dean,

I really enjoyed this blog. Brody is not just cute, but a heart breaker! Yes, children at that age have a short attention span. I find that he stayed with you long, though, given his age. Anyway, yes, we have to have the enthusiasm that children have. And yes, there were a lot of times in my life I thought I could not do something and I conquered it. It is a good feeling. We do have to be like children. Even in the bible, it is said that we have to be child-like, not childish. Some people mistake child-like for childish. We can always learn from children.

Thanks for the blog.
Annis

What you don't know

The older you get the more you know
Unfortunately
it also means the more you you don't know.
Be like a child and get back up, recognize that you don't know and find the way AROUND the problem. A wall has a top, A bottom and TWO sides. It only blocks ONE way while giving multiple ways around it.

Good advice

That is good advice just keep on moving forword

WOW-WOW-WOW!!!!

I've been looking at everything on your web page and you never stop giving you are a true leader in this real estate arena and I would like to take the time to say thank you. I personally spent over $70K on some education that was in my opinion worth less but I'm scratching it off as a learning process. I just wish I knew about you before I had spent all that money because I could of gotten your training for a fraction of the cost. I just read your book and closed on my first deal March 1, 2011 just by reading your book I can only imagine what you teach live.

Great Reminder!

Another great reminder about how life can sometimes grind you down if you don't remember to get back up again.
Thanks Dean!

Manny
