Dean Graziosi Weekly Video Blog #133 - In Your Honor

Dean Graziosi Weekly Video Blog
Friends, it was an amazing thing you all did last week.

For everyone that watched, clicked or liked the blog last week, Dean agreed to donate up to $7 per person who did all three of those.

Check this out and see how much you raised for the tornado victims of Joplin.

You are going to impact the people of that city in an amazing way. Watch and see - oh and post any suggestions you might have for Dean as he will be cutting the check this week.

Way to go Dean , Mat and D.G. Family

Awesome response Great job. Just goes to show people can work together for a good cause, But this is all Dean and Matt's money I will put some money in the pot to help get that dollar amount up to $30,000.00. If the D.G. Family each donated one dollar we could do it. I will donate $10.00 tell me where to send it.
Thanks
Big Ed
Keep on keeping on!

Just 1 idea....

Well whenever I am made aware of humane acts of compassion I cannot help but feel touched with emotion. Usually this even causes me to weep tears of joy and have my own faith restored at times when all seems lost in so many ways.
This post has me hopeful and blessed to know so many still have good in them. I actually went to the site for Kansas newspaper and read a long list of memorials as well as briefly noting other relevant news. And it was troubling but insightful.
So if ideas be sought, I am idea rich and want to help. Here goes..
So often it can be frusterating to give to any organization simply knowing that the organization has a structure to maintain and it absorbs a significant percentage of the much needed assistance. So many people can be affected in so many awful ways when they have fallen victim to devastating natural disasters often losing homes, jobs, schools, and tragically loved ones who sadly may also have been their sole support or majority breadwinner for the household. I have been reminded as of late how awful and demeaning it was to be homeless. So ideally if I could I would want to provide shelter and stability by being able to offer a home.
Have you and the DG Family considered forming your own non-profit subsidiary rehabbing or purchasing unfinished large housing projects or apartment complexes and providing temporary shelter as well as subsidized housing for people who are disabled, widowed, or independent elderly,(they made up majority of affected victims as far as I could tell.). Why not? There will probably be other funding available as well for such a project.
Perhaps even offering on site HUD counseling and or DG education to applicants/tenants/etc. so you can keep the whole teach a man to fish project in motion while growing and cultivating a business and lifestyle you and many of us actually believe in. And it is still R.E. .
I know it would be hard to get going and insurance may be a nightmare but if it is tax brilliant and good for humanity as well as enlightening and promotes self sufficiency and others prosperity how can it be a bad thing.
Just a thought.

Thanks for Caring

Thanks for caring Dean, and for being a man of Integrety and to all the D/G family for doing our part.

Thanks Dean, Matt & everyone for your support.
I work at the St. Louis, MO Hospital St. John's
Mercy that owns the St. John's Hospital in Joplin.

The hospital in Joplin had severe structure damage and needs to be torn down and rebuilt, they have a tent hospital setup now, see pictures on links below. The 1800 plus employees at the hospital will keep their jobs and work where needed until a new hospital is rebuilt.

The most important work we can do is the work of helping others. That is what Dean is about, that is what this site is about. People helping people. I can't tell you the number of times I've had stumbling blocks and there is always someone in the DG family that picks me up and pushes me on.

Keep moving forward and help those around you. I know I will!

Donate moneys to where it is needed

There must be reputable organizations that help with food, shelter and medication needs. I imagine that these are the most severest needs that must be addressed. I think there must be a way to find such organizations right there in Joplin. I keep thinking of "Feed the Children", which I donated to at one time. Someone and somewhere responsible and sincere must know.

Thanks Dean!

I feel like taking that step foreword and going with my instinct all those months ago when I saw your infomercial has changed my life. I know it has. I haven't done a deal yet but I've learned so much after joining the academy that I know it's just a matter of time. And then to be a part of helping people who really need it reminds me that you really can do well for yourself and help people at the same time. That's my dream. Thanks for everything Dean. I am very proud to be a part of the DG family.
Perhaps some of the money & well my heart goes out and this is tough to say but maybe the money could be used to cover some of the funeral costs, for the families that lost their loved ones. I'm sure that has to be a tremendous berdon along with everything else that thay are still dealing with. Just a thought.I still think Matt should match the money you raised. I am striving to be the next Matt L. I would do it if I were him No dought about it !!!! Once again sorry Matt, but you are still an inspiration for me. Great work everyone in the DG family, we can all take a little some pride in what we were able to do for the good people of Joplin!

Awsome!

Best blog ever!

Thanks Dean!

Thanks to all for your generosity! Suggest Community Foundation of the Ozarks for donation - they are a foundation focused on rebuilding the Joplin community.

Being part of the DG family is rewarding across the board.

I live in S. Fl. and have been through a number of hurricanes. I'm sure how similar those disasters are but when I'd gone through several days with out power, one of the main commodities was ICE, Propane , & Gasoline for generators. That usually sustained us until the power was restored.

I don't want to seem insensitive to what's going on in Joplin, but do natural disasters create RE opportunities, or not? Just curious..

But Thank You Dean for everything you've done for us, and everything you continue to do. You truly have left a legacy and a fingerprint in everyone's life that has embraced what you know.. THANX AGAIN!..

Joplin - way to go

seagarden's picture

Congrats to all for the great fundraiser!

After one disaster or another - Haiti earthquake or Japan tsunami, I can't recall - I spoke with Heifer International and learned that their role in helping devastated areas began AFTER the emergency crews left town. Heifer comes in to provide solid, long-term, on-the-spot re-build support, bringing in everything from farm animals to bees, rabbits, trees, and the like, and teaching the people how to use, care for, develop, keep, profit from (not just financially) and pass on to others the living, life-long gifts and education they receive.

Heifer has programs here in the US, as well as overseas. A few years back I was told that every penny donated by individuals went directly to the field; all administrative costs were borne by corporate donations. I presume that's still true.

Perhaps a collaboration between Heifer International, Habitat for Humanity, and Dean Graziosi et al is what's called for in Joplin. Joplin could become the poster child - a new template for disaster relief - for the entire country. Thinking a few layers deeper, it could be the beginning of a change in health care system as well, as Joplin farms began providing healthy, non-GMo, organic foods for the rest of the country.

However, it would be imperative to be sensitive to and to check with the people of Joplin, first, to be sure such an idea tracked with what they genuinely need and want. Being a poster child has huge drawbacks, and rescuers charging in on their white horses, so to speak, can wreak their own kind of unwanted havoc.

Donation to Joplin

I would like to thank you for taking an active part in God's work, here and now. TBN Trinity Broadcasting Network, as well as Billy Graham Ministries are wonderful outreach ministries that actually provide ministry services to those in need in the midst of storms, demonstrating the Love of God, meeting the needs of the people, as well as ministering to the Hearts and Minds of those in need with the word of God and Salvation through Jesus Christ, as well as offering physical substance and manpower to assist in such circumstances. They are a couple I recommend, who are first on sight in the midst of storms to assist those in need. The funds would be utilized as directed without wastefulness, deceit or deception.
Again thank you to all who take God's Word Literally, not just hearers but doers.

Where to send the money

First, pray and listen to your heart. Second, talk it over with your family.
If I were to do this and make it equal, I would send half to the Salvation Army and half to the Charity, you mentioned. I, myself, would probably give a big check to the City of Joplin.
But, you are the one to make that decision.
Thank you for allowing me to attend the seminar on Sat, the 11th of June, even though I only had and still have $0.30cents to my name, I still came away with a lot of knowledge.

If you could help him it would be very much appreciated.
Make the check payable to GVPCA (Grandview Police Chaplain's Association) you can write a check. If you want to buy gift cards (Target, Lowes please) the can purchase them and mail them to him. The address to mail checks or cards:

c/o Kevin Hardy 10418 Bales Ave. Kansas City , Mo. 64137. Thanks so much Dean...

Awesome!

Hey Dean

I would suggest calling K-LOVE radio or get on line and they can surely tell you who is probably having the greatest impact on the Joplin area as well as needing the funds to continue. Just a suggestion!
Those that water will be watered!

Keep up the good work!

In response to where to send the money?

Hi Dean,
I also think that you are doing a very warm, generous and compassionate thing with your donation.
As far as donations are concerned, I would like to suggest that you forward the check to the onsite organization. It would seem that the money and other necessary resources can go more directly to the people and/or needs quicker.
So that's my humble suggestion!

Witness

thank god your blessed. Keep on sharing and giving.
