where to send the $

Give to an individual family . All the orginizations have administrations to support so much of the funds are not spent on solving the problem . Find one ( or more ) of our own people that have been effected and get them back up and running so positive funds are returning to the effected area and watch your & Matts' seed money grow and further aid the recovery . A couple of tents , a generater and living equipment will gear up some of our people and get atleast a toe hold on the economic recovery . Thanks , Bob

Dean, That's great news, The

Dean,

That's great news, The Red Cross and the Salvation army have always been solid relief orgs. They were when I managed a homeless program (Project Home Again) in california and across the nation. I am presently out of work for almost (2)years but God's taking care of my needs. Thanks for this effort to help others as we should.

Thanks For Your Compassion!

Thanks for keeping your promise on our part. It's a good cause. I think you might want to give it to the organization that is on the scene right now, helping the people - convoy.
Thanks.

Hooray!!!!!! for all the money that You, Matt and
we all collected, (of course it is yours and matt's,)but the effort was made and that's what
counts. I am with some of the people that are
suggesting that probably you and Matt can teach them how to invest, and of course that same people
can give back to the community setting up scholarships to teach some others so they can rebuilt their lives. Please don't forget about
the poor animals either, (we are animal lovers)
because unfortunately they can not fend by themselves. Salvation Army has always being here
for the Valley Rio Grande in Texas, but I think
personally to leave it to you and matt's discretion.
May God Bless you and Matt for doing this.

Sincerely Adamina with DGfamily..........

Thanks Dean, Matt & DG Family

I'm so happy how much money was raised. It's so wonderful to see people helping people. Touching hearts changing lives one day at a time.

So proud to be part

Terrific Job, Dean! Thank

Terrific Job, Dean!

Thank you so much for allowing me and all of us to be honored along with your genorousity. It is indeed a great honor. I think that the Salvation Army does a wonderful job in caring for survivors of tradgedies.

All the Best, Lenore

joplin

Ithink the money should go directly to the families. They would know how to better serve their own needs.

Amazing

RealEstateMD's picture

Dean that is amazing, You should give it to the Red Cross. They can provide a lot more services to the location people. I am part of the American Red Cross National Disaster Team, and I seen first hand How these locate chapters are key after a major disaster.

WOW

I think that the Red Cross would be good...$23,833 ...VERY NICE/ and the grand total is even nicer $28,833...

Thanks, Yolanda in San Diego,CA

Where to send the money.

Salvation Army helped my husband many years ago when he was stuck out on the road homeless and without funds...on several occasions he was able to stay in their shelters and get food and hot showers, etc. SA is one of the best, most honest and helpful charitable institutions America has ever had. I suggest the money go to them. Regrettably on-line charities pop up everywhere and cannot be tracked or completely trusted when they are so new and there is no public disclosure or any facilities, etc. to look at. Just sayin'.

Awesome!!!!!!

DG Family all the way baby!!!!!!!! You guys are the best! I suggest sending the money through the Salvation Army, just because it's easier to track and see that the money is going to the people that actually need it

The Road to Generosity leads to Joplin!

aerospaceman's picture

There may indeed be a road paved with gold in America and it was paved by Dean Graziosi and everyone involved. This roads name is "Generosity" and no doubt it meets side roads of caring and compassion. My expectations is the "Red Cross" who not only are first responders to disaster but they also have the largest group of ham radio operators/amateur operators from the American Radio Relay League (ARRL). Dean you make us feel so humble and we should be calling you Dean "Gracious" Graziosi! How can you not feel for the people of Joplin and Dean humbling us with a donation, giving back - "To Give is Better than to Receive" says the Lord. Thank You Dean! and Thanks to the DG Family!

Leading By Example

That's what Dean and Matt did. This is a learning experience for all of us. It is in giving that we receive. Not so quick about who gets the money. I believe that we have to be careful how this money is spent. Some research needs to be conducted before putting the money in any organization hands. This is need money, not play money. As someone said before, DG family, YOU ROCK! Thanks Dean and Matt for your generosity.

Dean, thank you for doing

Dean, thank you for doing such a wonderful thing for the people of Joplin! My family used to live in Missouri, about a hour from Joplin, and my heart aches for everyone there. God bless you, and Matt, too, for helping the people whose lives were so horribly impacted by that tornado. Thank you also, for your continual positive motivation for your readers!! You are a bright light in an often dark world!! Deb & Mike

hi

I was affected by the tornados in alabama. from my experience RED CROSS has helped the least. They referred me to programs sponsered by red cross but i have not recieved any help or even information. Salvation Army helped some and Fema but the most has come from our elementry school and churches. Thank you for your support. No one realizes how difficult and heart breaking it really is until you experience it for yourself.

Yay For Joplin... Thanks Dean!!!

Re: Funds for Joplin

There is a great org. in Olathe, KS called Heart to Heart that is helping the people of Joplin with many needs. They have sent semi-loads of many different items to the people. It is administered by a group of very responsible people led by a Dr, all of them of highest integrity. Check them out on the Internet. Contact info will be there.
I like the suggestion of perhaps screening some prospects
from Joplin that prove they will stick with it and give them your courses and mentoring so they can put their life
back together while also helping those who need houses to
find and buy them.

Wow!! $28,833.00 Way to go Dean, Matt and the whole dg family. I am a big fan of the American Red Cross and I know they are very responsible with donations, however, any organization you choose to give the money to is fine by me. Dean, I know you have done your researched so whatever your heart tells you to do is perfect. God Bless

Thank you!

Where to send the money

ScottK352's picture

I vote for the Red Cross AND the ASPCA.

A great way to use that money...

There are many groups that send young adults ( they are enthusiastic, work very hard, and are HAPPY (happy matters!)to do it,and they are often not as tied down as others, yet)and college students that could benifit in many ways, along with the wonderful folks of Joplin. My daughter has been a part of these type of groups, and helped with Katrina ,when we lived in AZ,(pre forclosure) by going with me (MOM) to help those that had come to our city at the time, PHX. It was an emotionally charged, unbeleivably busy time for us.So many were still looking to find those (people and animals) left behind, lost,it was more about the love of fellow humans, and absolute neccesity's, and a place (cot) to put down your things! She went on to actually go to to rebuild,in a hard hit area after Katrina, and has been doing it ever since. She is currently in Uganda, helping at a hosp and orphanage there! This is a compassionante young person, who has had open heart surg(s) and is still not afraid to reach out, beliving strongly that God blesses those who bless others. That said, it really does impact college students lives, while providing relief in whatever form needed for the folks of Joplin. Plus students are great with kids, taking the time to play ball, or just let the younger kids know that they do care, giving them hope, and perhaps making yet another impact on even younger eyes... It is not wasted money to send someone over there, who is not going through the pain they are in Joplin, I beleive it is BUILDING lives on more than one level, and will benifit America ten fold in the future! That would be the best way to spend at least a portion of the money. You could even ask that the students /young adults raise 1/4 or 1/5 the amount of the cost of going, so say 200.00 of 800.00 or 1,000. (cost for 1 week of giving much of themselves to others) which would not be hard for them to do, and you would get the most serious students because they have to do their part here, to be able to even go. Can you put a price on love for another human in crises? A price on one student reaching out to build a bunkbed for a family, or hand out water/laundry detergent/or bedding(I believe a good nights sleep always helps us to look up and keep up the spirit needed to get through a crises,) or just play with the kids while the parents go shopping (with a little extra in their pockets than they had... in form of a card to say Target/ or a local food store?) So send a group of students along with that money, and it will MAKE A HUGE DIFFERENCE! Let me know as we could send a student or two your way.I know several that would jump at a chance to do this. I hope this motivates you, Dean to include the younger generation... Blessings! Yvonne ( Mom of an amazing college student... Doctor to be )

Joplin

My wife and I have been there, and its like nothing we have ever seen. When we picked up trash around one house that was just blown apart, and there was just row after row of the same. It makes you really think whats important. We would suggest the Convoy of Hope, we have seen them in action

Donating

Thanks Dean and Matt, this is a wonderful way to show that the people of Joplin are loved.

JOPLIN FUNDS

Dean what a great thing to do for the people of Joplin. I think the funds should go to the Salvation Army of Joplin. They should be in more direct contact with the people who have lost everthing.

Again,

GREAT JOB!!

Lawrence

Thank you for letting us be a part of this.

Thank you Dean and Matt for all you do, and thank you for letting all of us be a part of helping the people in Joplin, too. Are there any DG members close to Joplin that could represent all of us and help build the new homes for the people there, too?? That might be another idea.
