Dean Book Cover #6 is the choice for me. The blue is very inviting it gives a feel of confidence and professionalism.

Which ever it is I can't wait to get it! Good Luck!

# 4

Hey Dean,
4 stand out to me with the vibrant color it said read me.

Number 2 it is!!

Love number 2 Dean. Ed and I like the font and the color. Also like the white but it is too much like BARM. This one needs to be distinctive and reflect the "profits" - so Green it is!!

New Book Cover Vote - #5

First of all, thanks Dean for taking the time to listen to our concerns and addressing them! As you pointed out, many of us have come up against obstacles that lead us to believe, to some degree, that our market is different enough to where we believe these strategies don't quite work.

I'm really looking forward to reading how you address this issue and show us how to overcome those obstacles.

On to the cover...Sooo many sharp analytical folks here making some terrific pro/cons on each cover! However, I think cover #5 is bold, with a clean font, and eye catching contrasting colors and gets my vote.

Thanks again for allowing us to be involved!

I like number 4. It's bold. I like the combination of colors especially the red lettering. It makes me want to pick it up and read. Looking forward to getting a copy

#5

I liked #5 because it reminds me of the first book I bought "Be A Real Estate Millionaire".

On #5 you could fill the white space similar to what was done with the above and list key points to discover, which you could do with any of them really.

Also because it doesn't look "hyped-up" with flashy colors, or too dark like the green ones seem.

To my eye the blue one (#6) looks a little flat, but maybe my monitor needs adjusting. Also the shadow behind Dean is very, very light and takes that 3D aspect out of it that #1-4 have.

I'm not very fond of the background graphic on the orange and blue one. I don't know if it's because it's so faint, or if it really doesn't say anything about "town" or "what students taught". It took me a second, hard look to realize it was a house. At first I thought it was a bank because all I could see at a glance was what looked like pillars.

You could also try adding some 3D effects to the title and author name text. That flat text look seems unfinished somehow. The fatter yellow type stand out better against Dean's jacket, but it may be a little too fat.

Well, that's how I feel. Hope it helps a little.

No.1 Catches Your Eye!

Great picture Dean. No.1 really grabs your attention! Thanks for everything you do for all of the DG Family. I'm looking forward to your next book and all the information you share. Thanks,

Sure, your art department is TOO good...

However, a bit different and "Go for the [green] Money". Although you teach us that a deal is a win, win, win situation, and the money will follow, that green cover sends a silent message to those that have not already read your books.

That means more on the web site, more in the support group, and the next round of success by all concerned.

Cover # 3, Dean. And you may send me an autographed copy! What a collector's item and a reminder of who you are and what we shall be by your deeds.

Great Book Covers

I pick #4 "RED HOT OFF THE PRESS" you are amazing I will be waiting to read it SOON Thanks for all your HELP Janice J

I like #3

To me, the green background is rich in color and rich, as in money. Green also means growth to me, which is what we are all trying to do from the solid foundation of your information. It is grounding and restful, without putting anyone to sleep. It is calming and says "trust me". Having voted for #3, I'd like to say I prefer the font of #5 or #6. Your picture would sit a little lower on the cover and the top of your head would be in the lighter part of the background, setting it off better. Plus your name is easier to read in that font and it has a bit more modern look, which fits with your emphasis on today's market strategies. Good luck and I can't wait to get this one as well!

For me...number 6 says Professional and Profitable!!

Success-Is-Certain's picture

I agree with a couple of the other comments about how the yellow covers with red text, although more attention grabbing, say INFORMERCIAL more than the blue cover which is vibrant but not in a "in your face" type of way. I studied graphic design in college and always heard that the words you choose and the typeface you place those words in are just as important as the colors you place them on.

What I see first is YOUR TOWN and most people like to read about things that pertain to them or their area. Then the next thing I read is your name. So, I think #6 is the most polished and profesional of them all.

Good luck and happy writing : )

#6 is Power

Hi Dean,
I purchased your books back in June and although I have not made any deals yet, I am still confident that I will.
Anyway, #6 is the best choice. Why? Because the cover contains the three main colors that send a powerfull message to a reader.

Blue: Confidence and Determination
Yellow: Energetic and Ambition
White: Wisdom and Knowledge

Well Dean, hope to get one of your new books. Thanks for all you do and being you.
Debora Shepherd

My vote is for cover #4

I definitely think #4 is the winner for me. I like the bright yellow background with the red text. I think these colors really stand out.

A few comments on the other covers:

Cover #1 - the blue text, 1st line, looks out of place.
Cover #2 - don't like the look of 1st line because it reminds me of the paper young kids use when they begin writing their letters for school and are trying to stay in the lines.
Cover #3 - although it is the color of money, the rest of the text does not really catch the readers eye, not crazy about the white text.
Cover #5 - don't like the text for 2nd line, prefer text like on #4 (indented), but this is probably my 2nd favorite book cover.
Cover #6 - blue has never been a favorite color of mine so this cover does not jump out and say "buy me" it kind of blends in. Again, 2nd line of text, prefer it indented like cover #4.

Thanks Dean for all of the motivational blogs on your website and your e-mails! I love that you are such a positive person, so am I! Still working towards my first deal, I know it's all in the timing and having a great network of people to work with.

new book

Hi Dean,

I chose #1 because I believe it really stands out and would be picked out of the crowd of others on the shelf

Whatever you choose, I know you will have a best seller. Keep up the good work and thanks for choosing your students to participate!

Definitely Book 1!!!

I can see where tough choices come in on your part trying to pick a book cover! Book 6 is too blue and serene. And in the white (cover 5), although crisp, seems to be saying (to me) my publishers want another book, so here it is in a hurry. If this was your first published book I would say use it because you won't offend anyone. I know green was chosen to represent money in books 2 and 3, but in all honesty you look as though you're standing in front of a chalkboard and going to start a lecture. No reminders of class please, we need a fire lit under us!

And that's exactly what you did on covers 1 and 4. I'd like to see the house on the right standing out a bit more; however, on that same concept I like how you made 'Your Town' in blue stand out from the fire and not blend in to the background like the black lettering does. That's important because I'm assuming you want readers to know the concepts/applications/ stories in the book can be tailored to anyone or anytown.

Great job, good luck, and can't wait to read it hot off the press!!!

My Book Cover Choice ...

Hi Dean: I picked the #6 book cover. It is the nicest one without being too overbearing. It looks very appealing. Your photo looks the best with this color of blue in the back-ground. You can also see the house setting in the back of it, too. You can't see it in all of the covers. All of the other ones except #3 make you look like you forgot to come out of the sun as you look like you have a sun burn. Number 6 looks like a best seller, can I have one? (LOL) Just kidding. Take care and that goes for all of my DG fam, too.

Cover #5 - Most vibrant!

I was attracted directly to #5. It's crisp and informational, as well as warm. You are distinctive against the white and also shows off your warm and friendly smile! You look like a real person, not someone who's untouchable.

Am looking forward to getting new book! Sharon Hughes

I like it simple

Hello Dean

I love cover #6,mainly because blue is my favorate color.
Take Care,

#6 takes the blue ribbon!!!

Arn's picture

If you look at all the aspects of these book covers as far as fonts, colors, balance, aesthetics I would say that book cover number 6 is a top choice. Even being that my favorite colors are red and orange, I still feel that blue with the watermark compliments everything! Great job!

#2

I chose #2. They all carry the Msg., but #2 has highway markings at the top. I like that, Dean riding into town and carrying the words of success to any town any market.
