How to Basics on DG.com
Welcome Alice,
Since this post is about "doing it with a headache", here are a few pointers for getting started on the website overall to alleviate that headache for you!
Take the time to click all over, but starting with the "Start Here", "Website Rules" and introducing yourself by filling out your profile is good.
As you can see, you'll get your replies in the thread, so you need to keep up. The easiest way to keep up is to go to "My account" and it shows what threads (forums) you have participated in.
As for finding partners-- search Maine and read through the results, maybe another Maine-r will come up.
"Real Estate Forums" is a great browse search. And Dean's Video Blogs keep us moving, go through all the past ones!
Good Luck!
Your talking to me on the right day
Ok.. have a little bit of a sinus headache myself. Got 3 amazing deals (I thought)well have not been able to assign them. One had a recission already, getting ready to turn back the other two. Realtor will leave me if I chose to continue only to assign these deals. Coach already told me to fire him.
I need another real estate agent who is willing to work w/me. I will never give up! I have learned allot through the experience.
Semper Fi and thanks for the talk
Great inspiration and Happy
Great inspiration and Happy Easter to all !

Thanks Dean for your weekly wisdom. I'm heading out early to PT & a Swimming Work Out not wanting to do anything because of painful Side Effects and illness.
But No, Don't let it get you down but charge forward; Review your goals and listening to Deans wisdom to get pumped.
Then start a New Day with that Divine dynamos leading us forward flowing thru our veins.
I got a headache too LOL
I really don't want to do this personal thing, but I will anyways. Good weekly wisdom... now to apply to my life. Cheers everyone!
Thanks for the post Dean. A
Thanks for the post Dean. A reminder that no matter what obstacle attempts to block my path, I'll just keep my eyes on the prize and I'm sure to succeed.

Great Topic
Dean
You make a very, valid point. Suppose for a moment that you were a professional athlete, such as self-pro-claimed "King James." You're playing in the divisional championship and you twist your ankle. Your sitting on the bench nursing your ankle and while you're doing so, your team is struggling to stay even with its opponent. The team doctor says you have a mild sprain and that it's your decision whether to play or sit the rest of the game out--keep in mind that if your team loses this game, you're out of the playoffs. You decide to go back in and give it your all, win or lose.
You see, if your team loses they (the fans and your team mates) will remember the "King James" that let them down because of a minor set back.
Recall, that the fans will remember the most recent events and not the events that got you to the playoffs in the beginning. "It's not how you start the game, but how you finish."
The same is quite true concerning life in general. I applaud Dean and Matt for the fact that they are giving their "all" to achieve their dreams. Great models to follow.
Thanks again for such insight.

WEEKLY WISDOM #176 -PUSHING THROUGH IT ALL
WOW,DEAN! Just when I think the wisdom has been the best one...here comes another even better !! Thanks so much, Dean !!! You are truly a Godsend !!! We have to PUSH through adversity...and keep a mental fortitude of never giving up or giving in to difficulties !!! I think when we do this it makes success even more rewarding !!!
Now, you take good care of yourself..Promise? Make sure you find out what the cause of your headache is. Our bodies are "fearfully and wonderfully made" and can bounce back..but we have to pay attention to the signs our bodies give us and take good care of them. I'm not a headache person, but when I did have a really bad headache, I started researching the cause and made sure everything was ok...so Promise if a migraine headache occurs again that you find out the cause. OK?! Love you!!!!!
Very Timely
I just got off the phone with the Success Academy coach who made me face the hard fact that I need to start all over with my RE agent search. I sorted through so many and have had two since Oct. who seemed to fit the bill. Here I am months later without my first deal done realizing I've been trying to fit a square peg into a round hole for way too long. I didn't want to start all over with an agent search that was so unpleasant the first time around. Well, it just isn't going to work and I'm wasting too much precious time. So here's my next hurdle to power over and not let myself get down over it. Maybe it's been the key that's been holding me back. Let me go find those instructions to finding an agent, grit my teeth and get started.
Thanks Dean
Hey Dean,
Thanks, for always giving such great direction and motivation. I want so bad to push through but I feel so weak sometimes. I feel like a whiner. I need someone to just grab me and give me a good smack! I am continually pushing but don't have much direction, or too many directions. I am learning subject to's from a local investor, I am gathering a group of investors to pool money and buy houses to rent out and refinance. I want to continue trying to do wholesaling too but feel like I need money partners to fund the deals. But all in all, I just feel a bit overwhelmed and lost sometimes and just need some guidance and help. But don't worry, I will Push Through! Thanks Again.

Hit it on the Head
Wow, this weeks message could not have came at a better time, for myself and my wife. I was literally just talking to my her right before I watched the video about how we need to power through the tough things were incur in life. I actually said to her also "if things in life were easy then everyone would be doing them". So when Dean said that I laughed and stopped my wife from studying to have her watch video because it was perfect timing for her as well. She is taking an entrance exam to get into nursing school tomorrow and was not wanting to study and saying the test is gonna be hard. Perfect video.
I am a new REI here in San Diego and I'm just getting things started but little obstacles seem to keep coming up. I am not going to let those little or big things stand in my way. So its always nice to have encouragement and support along the way.
Thanks Dean for all your videos and support you make available to all of us.
thank you Dean

in helping myself I can help so many ,for giving gives greater satisfaction.may God bless us all.
Positive
Thanks again Dean,
You are very good at staying positive and I know it is the key to success. Things happen in life but we have to stay positive. A great attitude brings great things.
You Rock!
Thanks,

what a headache!
Dean, I am a migraine sufferer and I know what it is like to keep working with the pain. I do it because I am committed - because I love it -- because I no longer let obstacles stand in the way of my goals.
Thanks Dean for validating the promise!
Peace & Joy!
Pushing through it all
Thank you Dean for another great blog--
you are truly inspirational!
Overwhelm is OverRated
Dean,
Thanks for the WW. I got the RBBP with the intention of working it on my off times. My wife got excited and wanted to take over. She soon was overwhelmed and stressed out. She just got a bit discouraged. So I decided upon myself to pick up the ball and kick it up a notch. I will work it myself and make it happen . My goal is first deal in 30 days! The last page of your latest book has a spot for a date to accomplish my goal and my goal is May 3 to get my first deal done with a goal of $5000. Got to shoot big. Not only is overwhelm over rated, but so is sleep. Time to kick butt, no excuses no holds barred. Thanks Dean.
Great Block
Hi Dean,
thanks for the blog. My headache is that I am afraid to call the cash buyers that I have accumulated on my list.
I am just afraid that I am going to mess up. But I know one thing I will never give up. Ivana.
"I DO IT WITH A HEADACHE"

I don't know whats going on with my computer it wont play any of the videos As for your blog Dean never really thought about it like that. I do think you have a point, I guess this blog would lean towards, When the going gets tough the tough get going. Is my take on this anyway.
Hangin In
Great message this week.
We have to take the focus off of ourselves when the stakes are high, and keep moving forward. The reward of success is the prize!!
It is very satisfying to know you did it, when you felt like you couldn't.
Looking forward to congratulating the new contest winner this year. I will never forget the look on John's face when he heard his name announced last year It has literally changed our lives
Thanks again for all your support Dean!

With A Headache
This video inspired me to keep at it (no matter what it is). I just found out that the average REI quits in the time spand of 4 months. I can vouche for that because I too gave up 2 years ago. But now I'm one of Dean's students, and quitting is not an option! Thanks Dean

Do it after detox
Like this Dean. I fell off the wagon and just got spit out of detox and feel like s***. So it will be hard but am ready to work this thing again. Good inspiration Thanks.....
You Know Dean
I was actually going though that this week, I really needed to hear that, I was getting a lot of No's and was losing momentum.
thanks Dean.
Also are you able to explain the closing process to us Dean from both the wholesaler point of view and Buy and Hold investor point of view?
Great Blog!!
I attened a seminar in Concord Ca yesterday. I signed up to be a student and cannot wait to go to the 3 day class in Berkeley Ca On April 19-21. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and helping empower others. Im a sponge ready to learn!!!
with a headache, or even heartache
Hi Dean,
That was a wonderful blog!! Thank you for taking the time every week to create these for us, no matter how you're feeling!
I think of physical and medical, even emotional obstacles that we've all gone through, things that COULD cause many to stop in their tracks on this great journey to freedom and success.
They say "When the going gets tough, the tough get going." It's also true that you don't have to BE tough to get going. CHOOSE to keep going, and it will MAKE you strong. Just like you and your partner (although I'm glad neither of you passed out on the treadmill!), You didn't stay in bed. There were deals to be done!
Thank you for always choosing to give the positive, Dean. Your diligence to the DG family and the success (and well-being!!) of your students is remarkable. You are a beautiful, yet always humble, example of the successful and happy person you wish each one of us to be. Thanks again for sharing the tools to make it happen! We'll use'em!!!
Blessings,
Rina
tough keep going
Right on time again Dean. I have been feeling the pressure for awhile but have kept plugging along. We are supposed to close our first flip the end of April and have since flipped three more and just made three more offers so hopefully all the hard work is about to pay off and increase our motivation.
Thanks for the support!
