Are you emotionally driven? Most people are. We let our emotions drive our actions. Your emotions can be powerful motivators or they can cause destructive lack of action.
This week, we talk about taking the emotion out of the decision process. It allows you to take ownership of your life and your actions, as well as gain the confidence you need in all areas. This can do everything from changing the way you feel about yourself to dramatically changing the economy in your house.
Watch it now and as a special surprise, you'll find out how anyone who leaves a comment on this blog this week can get a FREE digital copy of my bestselling book 'Totally Fulfilled.'
Dean's On Fire!!!
We have watched EVERY Single Weekly Blog - all 184 of them! Some more than once. Wow Dean, you're always pumped up, but this week supasses all! We just closed on our second deal last week....it took us only 19 minutes to make $9,160!!! The importance of a strong buyers list!! Can't wait to write about all the details. Thanks for all the knowledge, action and results you've helped us achieve!!!
You're the Best!!
Thanks Dean for antoher grat
Thanks Dean for antoher grat weekly wisdom. I look forward to the weekly wisdom every week. I am determined that I am going to step out on faith and finally do my first deal within the next 30days!
Is this logical for a newbie wholesaler??
Hey Dean, great video but is it logical for a Newbie Wholesaler like myself to close at least 2 deals ($3k each) within the next 60 days starting from scratch??
I mean, I get the process of wholesaling, but the BIG challenge for me is that where I live in West Palm Beach, Florida, there is an overwhelming amount of cash buyers buying properties at full price or more, so making offers on REO's 30-40% FMV is practically a waist because of all the competition.
So under these circumstances, is closing 2 deals in 60days unrealistic for a newbie?
Emotions
Hi Dean,
Great Video.
Just what the doctor ordered for my emotional husband. I'm sending him a link to this site!
Thank you
It is obvious that you are passionate about REI. I am so glad to be a part of the DG family, EVERY time I come out here (daily) I learn something new.

NEGATIVITY
I have a few family members who laugh at me
because I am not successful, especially my exhusband! I am struggling to pay my bills.
When people say these things you tend to believe them. Thank you Dean for this blog, I am going to save it to my desk top, so I can listen to it over and over again. I have lost my self confidense. I know you are holding out your hand to all of us, saying come on take that first step, you can do it.
I have some family members who laugh at me, especially my exhusband, because I am not successful in Real Estate, and I am struggling to pay my bills.
Thank you for this blog, and I am going to save it to my desk top, so I can watch it over and over again.
Unfortunately, when you are around this negativity, you tend to believe their comments.
Thank you for reaching out to us, you are truly a very special person.
Is this logical?
I'm not sure, but we bought a house in good condition for $38,000. that sold for for 248,000 five years ago!!! near Atlanta!
Emotions
Thank you for another great inspirational weekly wisdom. Reminded me once again of basement people vs balcony people. It matters who you surround yourself with.
Great blog
Thanks Dean. Yes ...we need to take action to be successful in real estate.
Very Powerful
We are all more emotional than we would like to admit. I for sure am extremely emotional. Great talk. I posted it on Twitter. Thanks so much for all you do Dean!
Right time for RE now.
Hi Dean,
I have a partner that beleives the only way you and others get rich from real estate is family or being in the right place at the right time and there is no way not to need money. Anything I do I have to do quietly and on my own. I have not yet made my first deal after all these years. We just got away from both of our houses being in foreclosure so we have tons of bill collectors after us. I am looking for mentors to work with . I think I have just overloaded my mind with training and am terrified to make a mistake. I will post this as many places as possible and thanks again.
Thanks Dean
Awesome Blog, every video gets me fired up and makes me more confident in this market. Would love the opportunity to read 'Totally Fulfilled'
Another great one
Thanks Dean - as always, right on target. Still working on the first deal but headed in the right direction. Keep up the great work and we'll see you next year at Edge 2013. Larry and Kay
Thanks Dean!
Great message.
Inspirational!!
Hey Dean and DG family,
Once again your words always seem to hit home with me. I have so much going on with my "regular" job, my daughter's sweet sixteen coming up and a new three month old, I still manage to keep up with these amazing blogs and watch your educational videos and even attend the events. I feel my progress building up to that final "boom" in my first deal. "Slowly, but surely" my wife keeps telling me and not to give up because it WILL pay off in the long run. I just want to extend my utmost gratitude for all your motivation, efforts and education. We will persevere!
Weekly Blog
Your weekly blog is very uplifting for me. Thank you for all your support.I hope to be in your mentoring system soon to help me get on the path and do my first deal soon! I will share your video with my sister, who I think will appreciate it also.
Your blogs help keep me inspired and focused on the real estate path. Some times it seems to be a lot to do - but as you say - keep at it.
Thanks again,
David Chaims
Weekly Video
First, I just want to say that I really enjoy each weeks video. They are phenomenal.
Secondly, I know what you are saying about the emotional attachment to doing this. Both my husband and I believe in this, we don't listen to naysayers, we know there's money in it, and are extremely emotional about doing it, etc. We've been a part of your team for 3 months, but have not put together a deal. I think about it All the time, on my way to work I make up conversations about this house or that house, making a deal; BUT still don't feel we know how. I have CONTRACTAPHOBIA, ASSIGNMENTAPHOBIA, & PROPERTY ANAYLYSITIS--BIG TIME. I Need to work on these areas plus a buyers list, plus a sellers list, plus this and plus that. Feel overwhelmed. I am currently reading your book, "Profit From Real Estate Right Now"; so we try to do something EACH DAY, that will move us forward. (My goal is to finish THIS Weekend. I have a lot to read.)I feel we are going too slow. We really need to move it and MAKE some money. I wish we had someone to actually DO it with us--I know we have the help line, but not the same. Do you think I am Over Analyzing and becoming paralyzed? I think it's much easier to make a deal than I am making it out to be. Ok, that's all. Please keep doing the videos, they really inspire me each week. Thanks so much for all you do. Looking forward to a new book.
Jeanne & Alan Scott, New Hill, NC
Thanks Dean !!
As always, another great blog.
I am in the success academy, and having trouble getting things moving, do you think the Inner Circle would be a good fit for some help to get up and running ?? I can't seem to figure out how this program works, after 17 months of doing what the advisors say, I'm not making any progress ?? I am willing to spend more money, if I can be certain their will be positive results. So far I have lost more money than I have made in the 3 deals they have walked me thru.
Any advice would be great !!
Thanks,
John B.
Great blog post!
I especially like your enthusiasm. You say you want to take the emotion out of decisions--and you give lots of factual info. But that just puts emotion back in it and makes us very enthusiastic. Thanks!
Looking to getting started
Dean
Thanks for your great video this week, I've enjoyed your weekly wisdom for a while now. Couldn't come to the Edge, but ordered your online viewing and waiting for the DVD copies because my son had his first out of town basketball tourney for the summer season and wasn't able to view that weekend. Also ordered your 30 Days book. Just needing that one thing to get me "Over The Edge" and started down this road. It's kind of like what came first, the chicken or the egg? Well, what comes first; the property, the buyer, the agent or the financing? I'm guessing the answer is all of the above. Feels like juggling multiple balls when I don't know how to juggle yet. Thanks for the great motivation and encouragement!!!
Getting Started
We are just getting started and these blogs help fill in the gaps when others are doubting. Thank you for putting them on.
Thanks for your passion!
I wish that I had the confidence in myself that you have in everyone "on the planet". Thank you in advance for the free book.
Luda
Thank You
Thank you for the blog Dean. Very informative and makes me want to get out there and get going. Looking forward to your future blogs and I'm attending your seminar in West Palm Beach, FL this weekend. The motivation is on.....
EMOTION into ACTION
Thank you Dean for your continued inspiration and insight. It seems that you know (likely from experience) how to trigger the emotions that inspire action. Even your ethical bribery is a great tool to cause action too! However, I must say that I am deeply impressed with how you use the bribery to entice further action through additional triggers that follow. Your words speak volumes, but your actions can change perspective and direction. Thanks again for all you do!
It's more than a bribe
Dean,
It is more than a bribe. It's about your encouragement to do things differently and take action. I have hit bottom and am trying to take steps forward. I have been paralyzed by fear and understand the consequences of lack of action. So you're encouragement and support is HUGE if you are committed to really making a change. Whether by logic, emotion or both, TAKE ACTION. Thanks for another push.
Dreamstar
weekly blog
convinced me time to stop doubting myself and take action thanks dean for putting a fire under me
