Hope I am not too late to get involved. I started this and then figured there would be too many responses from my area. Well I am doing it any way.
1. City: Columbus, Ohio-- a hotspot for RE!
2. Umemployment rate Jan 2012-8.3%
Dec 2012- 7.8%
3. Average cost 3 BR in 43214 zip code- $189K
4. Average Rent for same is $997
5. RE Taxes for same are $3561
6. Average DOM 100

There is a large variance in Columbus from very low to very high ($56K or less to over $350K)
With the new Casino just opening in town, things will really be picking up. Some homes have been on market for over 200 day's and there have been a lot of REO's and Foreclosures in our area over last couple ears. I want in on the ground floor to improve our city and our economy.

I honestly don't think this is a place to invest. We have lost Bombardier Inc and the granite manufacturing is going out slow but sure with China getting into the picture. That is only my opinion.

Will definately keep a close watch for the next opportunity because I think you would be interested in the Raleigh/Durham/Cary area because it is growing fast and I have a ton of experience birddoging, and overseeing rehabe projects for resale and rental.
