WOW

Dean that was awesome. Thank you so much nothing like writing the vision and making it plain. Read all about it but never took action on it. Will do from now on. This is the third time I heard this in the last few days doesn't take a rock scientist for me to see that somebody is trying to tell me something. WOW

Wow that's ironic! I was

Wow that's ironic! I was just going over those things in our monthly meeting before I watched it. I didn't think about the multiplier part though, thanks again Dean!

As usual great ideas

Advice on getting things to work

Hi Dean,

Thank you for your 3 part system on getting things to work.It is truly powerful. It looks simple and elementary but it's profound. It works and I want to thank you again for you sincere desire to help your students succeed in R.E. and life in general.

What's the difference In Your Books

I'm new and decided to take action. So I just finished reading "Profit from Real Estate Right Now". I started with that book because it seemed straight to the point and it was available for purchase through iBooks. Great book! I'm in the process of generating a sellers list. However here is my question. What is the difference in all three of your books... Specifically your new book "30 Days Real Estate Cash" compared to "Profit from Real Estate Right Now"? Can you highlight the difference? See you in April when you come to Michigan.

AMAZING!

Dean-

Wow! How'd you know?

I was just talking to my wife last night about my frustration with this EXACT thing and the effect it was having on our lives but didn't know about (hadn't had time to watch) this video yet. I was just overwhelmed with stuff that needed to be done and not enough time to do it all yesterday. You know, it was one of those days when all the time-sucking, nonproductive, urgent things got in the way of getting the important long-term, really productive things accomplished.

This morning the first thing I did when I got up was watch it.

PROBLEM yesterday - SOLUTION here today! I'm going to apply this approach immediately as I can see almost instant results will be produced!

Isn't it amazing how answers to problems always appear from somewhere when you need them most?

Thank you!

Another Awesome lesson!!!

I will definitely use this strategy. Funny how easy things are once one has the tools and the know how.

THANKS

DEAN THAT WAS AN AMAZING

DEAN THAT WAS AN AMAZING WEEKLY WISDOM.IT IS SIMPLE TO FOLLOW AND DO AND YOUR RIGHT TO JUST RIGHT IT DOWN HELPS TO FIND THE SOLUTION.

Multplier

I am a list maker, and I will try this new concept of list making. I am in my first week of watching videos and being part of the DG Team.

Nothing changes if nothing changes, right?

CHANGE IS THE KEY WORD.

Thank you Dean.

Multiplier - Good Concept

When this video started I thought "I know that." But then you added the mulitplier and you got my attention. Good one!

Hi Dean

I appreciate you taking the time to post these weekly wisdom videos. I am brand new to all this and with your weekly wisdom video this week is going to help me get more focused.

Once again, I thank you for helping me/us and I look forward in meeting you one day soon!

What I am doing

Is not working. I need some advice on how to get a house to flip if I only have 100 dollars and never invested in real estate. And I never had credit.

Idea for Weekly Wisdom

Cristi's picture

Thank you so much Dean for all the wonderful posts on your Weekly Wisdom. I was wondering if perhaps you could discuss ideas on how to start learning to calculate repair costs. My fiance and I are starting to do assignments and we are having a hard time trying to figure out how to calculate repair costs. Also what are the basic repairs that most investors want?

I like it

Lume702's picture

Thanks Dean, I like it. We are doing a lot and trying to make it happen but still haven't got our first deal yet. I think this process will help a lot. Thanks.

Wkly Wisdom #169 "A 3 Step Method To Fixing Problems

Hi Dean,

I took the time this morning to listen to your blog. I wrote down the 3 Steps that you mentioned. And started to list under each catagory. I totally agree with you, by writing things down, does help out alot. My biggest struggle is Taking Action!! I Need to re-evaluate my list, and go from there. You are such an encourager, and just listening to your blogs as often as I can, inspires me. Just want to say "Thank You" for everything.

God bless you,

Have a Wonderful Day!! = )

weekly wisdom #169

Thank you for your down to earth wisdom.

whats working

good video dean. unfortunately a lot is not working for me.

i cant find a real estate agent to work with. i call and call and ask the questions in your training and get an agent who claims to work well with investors but no they dont. they just want investors with money to buy the houses they already rehabbed. i tell them what im intrested in and they drop me like a rock. even the ones in this site.

i seek for hard money lenders for funding with zero down and even a few given by other investors in this site and your class and the clubs im in. they all want money down.

i have goten so frustrated i stopped looking. i am now in home study classes to get a real estate lisence here in las vegas nevada. if they will not help me then they are not helping others. so ill work with new investors when i get my lisence.

The New "To Do" List

I think this new TO DO list is interesting. It combines a To Do list with an Action List. I am still reading the book, but look forward to getting started as I have always wanted to be a real estate investor. I am also excited about the meeting tomorrow in Louisville, KY. I know I will learn something then as well. Thank you for your wisdom!

Sincerely,

Celeste Smith

thanks again dean

alot of times the biggest positive lessons we learn are the common sense ones. i completely agree and no i don't know why either, but for me writing things down seems to give you perspective. i know in my life i'm often going with my head down so hard that i need to stop, stand back and look at the whole picture of what i'm doing. you know like not seeing the forest for the trees type of deal. i don't focus and direct my energy properly if i don't slow down and look at what i'm doing and how do i get there.
great blog dean, as usual it seems to hit home.
keep moving forward, rob

Awesome!

next turnkey deals

TMO28's picture

Hey Dean
I posted here so you'd get it. Have Matt (or whoever Matt delegates to) look into Flint Michigan as your next hot spot for turnkey properties. Run down homes, but the jobs at GM are coming back and people are moving back!
Best Wishes,
Theresa

Thanks Dean

Hi Dean,

Thank you for the wisdom. It's just what I need right now. My life has taken a down turn in the past 6 months or so in almost every area imaginable. So an exercise like this is just what I need to move forward. It can be hard to be optimistic when things seem so negative all around you. So thank you for making me think differently and put some perspective on things. You're always a positive inspiration which is why I love this site and you for doing all that you do to help those of us who need the extra push constantly. You are why I will never give up on this dream to succeed in real estate. I WILL DO THIS for ME and MY FAMILY!

Hi Dean,

Thanks for sharing the concept of the multiplier.
I am very anxious to do my first deal, so I am looking for any tips or advice that will help me to take action. I am reading everything and dedicating my time towards learning, so I can feel confident enough to make my first deal.

Thanks

Sheila

what advice do you give to a 23 year old

Hi Dean,
I know you've been doing real estate since you were in your early twenties. What advice do you give to some one who is doing this at that age. It seems like agents and people will question you if you say you are a cash buyer and still look like a kid.

Thanks Deann

Assignment of contract

Hello Dean , great blog this week. An idea for a future blog might be expanding on how to keep assignment deals from turning bad. I know that we can build in a back door or two in the deal, but I dont want to be stuck if my buyers back out. I know that we can add wording to the contract such as " upon partner aproval" , but a savy seller can check out your LLC and find out if you have any partners or not. Also the inspection period is good , but I have heard this can have pitfalls too and backing out may be impossible if not done just right. My IRS auditor tells me that an LLC is no real protection in a lawsuit as many people mistakenly believe, and you can be personally liable if you back out of a deal the wrong way and the seller is crafty and educated.

Simplicity

ETN's picture

Dean,

I appreciated the simplicity of the concept as well as the reminder of the value of getting things out of your head and on paper.

Your post reminded me of another one you did, similar, which was an improvement to the common "to do" list. It was simply writing 3 columns each day on a legal pad, for "Today", "Soon" and "Eventually". I loved the idea and have been using it.

Sincerely,

Dan Springer
