I'm almost threw my first book profit from real estate right now. I have not make money yet (BUT
I WILL)

Not as easy as it sounds

I know from owning a construction business for the past 18 years, regardless of what business you are in it takes many pain staking hours of hard work focus and dedication to be successful.

From the work I have been doing it seems to me that goes double for the real estate Business.

I have been working my tail off but have been unable to secure a deal yet.

I have not talked or do I know about the training Dean offers, maybe that is the answer Knowledge is power after all.

I will not quit! I don't even know the meaning of the word, but I have some really bad credit due to the economy in part but mostly from medical,but no credit card debt.

It is really disappointing due to the fact that I live in south FL. and It is a literal Gold mine of real estate deals.

To bad I can't secure any of them, with my knowledge and experience in the residential Housing industry I could save thousands on any repairs that need to be done.

If any one would like to partner up with me who can secure the properties. I have the knowledge and experience to find fix and manage, and any thing else that needs to be done.

This could be a very good opportunity for anyone who is looking for a person like myself who could take care of the property management repairs Ect. Lic.contractor over 18 years

The Problem Is...

And you will see it from the poll....most people either buy the book and never read it or buy it and half read it the try to do deals, dont know what they are doing - then fail. Not because the book was no good but for simple lack of knowledge.

Everyone that knows me on here know that I have many copies of Deans books. I keep one on my desk, one in my car, one in my brief case, one in the bathroom, one at my office, and a slew of them on my bookshelf so I can share the knowledge with others. When I use the word "one" that means one copy of both books.

At last count I had read them over 300 times. So when I get asked how do I do what I do and where do I need to start - most people think my answer is short and glib - and it MAY be but its true - READ THE BOOK!

I founded SoCal Real Estate Investors Group and anyone that has ever attended a meetig will tell you that we dont just meet to network and socialize - but they meet to learn! And everything I teach comes from Deans books plus what else I have learned doewn the road.

People - sucess is simple if you stop trying to take the short cuts and put in the work. I no longer do many SFR because I now deal in Bulk transactions and Acquisitions - which simply means that my average deal now is 50MM and above. I just had escrow open on a 346MM deal yesterday - and never and I mean never - would I have ever made it to where I am if I did not and had not - continued to READ!

So please forgive my long reply, but this has become sore spot with me over theyears - watching people byuy the book half read it the jump ut there trying to do deals and failing and blaming it on Deans and his books. No - I did not do the academy, ut that was by choice and lack of funds. But for those of you out there that can take advantage of all that Dean offer - by all means do it. Again my apologies for such a long post, but much success to everyone. I did it and so have many others and so can YOU!

Reading books

I have read both books, made my notes, taking the classes from the academy & got the "Edge" cd's. I still have not been able to make any money yet, BUT I WILL. Being in Southern California, I find the real estate agents are not receptive. I am not going to give up as I know that this is going to work to change my life around. Thanks Dean for all that you give us.

Reading Deans Books

I am currently reading Profit from Real Estate Right Now. Taking my time through it. I want to make sure that I understand it. Like other comments posted, I am trying to build a confidence up and get past the fear that I can really do this.

My point to reading these books was to hopefully earn some money to help with college expenses and maybe buy my first home. Now that my child is in college and I understand the scope of how important it is to support her financially, I am having to fight the doubt and fear in myself that I might apply a technique incorrectly and wont know how to fix it. I know not the first thing about real estate and her financial support has to be first.

Dean, I am taking this at a slow pace and am enjoying reading your book. I am hoping that a couple of friends that I know who have worked in real estate might be willing to go on this adventure with me and help me out.

Haven't made money, but working on it!

I haven't quite finished all the chapters, but I got totally immersed in real estate after also signing up for the Success Academy. I bought an REO at a REALLY low price early this month and am doing a rehab. So I haven't made the money yet, but I know I will! Gotta go! Have to pick out tile and light fixtures today! Still shopping for the best deals, got everything else in place. I'm hoping to have it back on the market by the end of the month.

I LOVE IT! I'm totally into it!

It will not be long before I am implementing Dean's strategies & making $.

Dear Dean,

I recently contracted cancer, at about the same time I ordered your books. I've had a serious fight for my life, but I'm a fighter! I had my surgery and things look pretty good right now. I'm ready to start making some long-range plans again! Smiling I started on your book "Be a Real Estate Millionare" today. I'm very excited about having someone like you on my side. well , i think to get practice i need first of all receive the books i already ordered and read them, of course!!!

What happend to all the help promised ?

After I sent the money 2,700 all the phone calls stop and no one returned calls from numbers given me.Some how I must have slipped through the cracks.

Tired of the poor life

I read the book only once so far. Lost my job of 14 years just 2 weeks ago. Even while working I was Just Over Broke (JOB). I'm not as young as I used to be. Got nothing to look forward to except not having enough money while being on unemployment.

Perhaps it is time I read the book again. I didn't realize that Dean had written more than one. I will have to check into that as well.

I know that Kevin Trudeau speaks highly of Mr. Graziosi. Which means a lot to me.

Frustrated

Ive only read about 60% of the book, and find it a little hard to get started. I just moved to Austin Texas, from New York City. finding property is not all that hard but going about it, and making it happen seems to be hard, for me anyway. plus the stress of starting over in a new city. plus im trying to get started as quickly as possible cause my family is still in NYC. I cant bring them here until I get the ball rolling.
How do I get started?

I read the first one and found it to be mainly
motivational, with a few tips . I have yet to purchase the 2'nd book . I am hoping the second
book holds less fluff and more fact . Stories
about people's hardships from different part's of the country are only fluff and fill . I need fact, and information that will get me places,
and open door's . Being unemployed puts my budget
for doing this at "ZERO" . there is no money for memberships, websites, or advertizing . I would hope that Dean has Approached his new book with this type of mentality in mind . "A poor mans guide to investing in Real Estate" . Taking a little longer to get there is exceptable (if) it can be done, ... without a price tag ! . Otherwise that leaves a great deal of us, on the outside looking in .

I've been reading Dean's book "Profit From Real Estate Right Now". Highlighting, taking notes, writing my own personal journal. It has motivated me to take the steps necessary to become a member of Dean's team and accomplish my own goals! I've put many things on Craigslist to get the funds needed to make the next move, to get a Coach.
I have talked to some contracter in the area, got their business cards. Driving around looking for those "FOR SALE BY OWNER" signs. Writing down addresses. Going home to look up other properties in those areas to see what they sale for. This is exciting! Not doing anything yet but looking foreward to a great future, for me and my family.

Book reviews

I received my materials early October 2009. I have been very apprehensive about applying Dean's techniques. However, I try to live by a motto that "any worthwhile project is worth doing well." Anyone who has done writing will know that highlighting a book is not sufficient. An outline and plan is required. I have nearly complete the second book "Be a Real Estate Millionaire." And, I have compiled ALL related information into notes. This may take longer,but the results are a time saver as well as making fewer mistakes. More techical research is just around the corner. Thanks Dean.

The Books

I just finished reading the second book last night. I plan to read both again and make notes of the things I plan to use and all the web sites I want to use. I have read several books on real estate investing in the past but none inspired me to act or presented the information the way these two books do. I watched Deans program on late night TV for years and finally decided to purchase it. I had it for several months before I started reading it, but once I started I couldn't put them down. I'm going to take action this time.

None of the categories seem quite right

I have read all of Profit and part of BARM.
Have also started the business / got a COA number (but having Tech Problems - not working) / your Net package / and a lot more.
Have explored a lot of the city I only drove through before - then went online to research the areas. Really kind of interesting all by itself. I find that the areas I like are all very expensive and any place I could afford - I would not want to walk my dog in.
I want this to happen - it is just not going as fast as I would like it to and problems keep popping up. There simply is not enough hours in a day. Part of that is because my life is not bad at the moment and is fairly stable - and also because I am trying to drag my spouse along with me.

Using Dean's strategies

I have read both books many times and understood the concept. I was excited. If, I was born in here and I can speak English perfectly, I don't need be afraid so much to make a deal for anything sepially REI. However, I am a believer. I learned about law of attraction from "The Secret" and many other things. I have mortgage broker friend(American),and I was looking for a house with him but my income was not enough to be approved by a bank. There are so many cash buyer in this area. He told me that I can not buy any house.I told him about Dean and " no money down" strategies many times but he was just laughed at me and didn't believe, but this time he was interested. I let him borrow Dean's book over this weekend.I told him that we can work together and sprit the profit. So, hopefully I can make some money soon because I will loose one of my jobs early next year.

The book.

I love reading every word in your books. I WILL be gitting my feet wet soon I am taking the course first to make sure that I wont make to many mistakes. It is hard to read to much in one setting because I have a sleeping sickness and fall asleep at the computer and reading. I am so ready to do something . I belive in your books and I know that they work because I know of a person who put your system to work and is doing fine. I will soon be telling you good storys to print. because I don't think I will be successful,I know I will be successful. I do not have room for the neg. in my life beacuse I am to busy with the pos. Talked to Realtor...

Well I have talk to some realtors and they said all the negitive things Dean had said they would say in his books. All the negitive stuff to discourage me from doing this. I'm still learning more and will soon take the course to help me along. I Finally have an understanding of real estate through all the confusion out there.

Why I have not worked the program

Just as I got the book, I got sick and 6months later I am still recovering. When things are better health wise I plan to just do it.

I have read the entire book. It does take awhile to understand all of the proper strategies and then applying them to your local market. It's a new adventure for me and I'm looking forward to making real estate a new career.

I really can see where everyone is and myself. I have read and applied some of deans techniques and have not made money yet. But I am confident that I will soon.

I really do believe that there are many people out there with the book and like myself it took me over year to be where I am today, I began to use my techniques not too long ago.

But after doing so, I am more confident in what I know and my resources has quadrupled from nothing.

During my year and a half I have been building up my buyers and property list.

Now I am sure that something will work out.

Hope everyone else feels the same way. If you are just starting out with Deans book, my advice would be to make a plan.

Dean,
We (son Eric and I) have put the web site up, recorded our automated answering service and advertised for investors and agents on craig's list. We've had 2 interviews with agents this week and next week we have another meeting with an agent. We've talked to 6 investors and continue to get answers to our ads. So far we have not taken advantage of the coaching by phone which I know is key but last time I called my instructions were to get my buyers list together and since I haven't gotten much of a list I haven't called back yet. Anyway, what really got us taking action everyday was the October Successfest, powerful conversations. (just got my first one) and revisiting the 2009 Edge dvds. Matt's 25:1 strategy is what we're aiming for. We have not made any $ yet but have no back up plan so it's do or die. We will make this work. Thanks for asking Dean.

i have read both books and have applied the techniques but the area that i am in is booming and the buyers are coming up front with cash money which i dont have and buying up everything,but i know when and if i get the first deal i can take it from there,because i have no doubt in my mind that deans techniques will work. i believe and i can achieve.
