Check on the wrong spot
I am sorry, for whatever reason I click on the wrong spot. I should have click on the spot that says I read all the books, I know how to apply it but I am not ready yet. I am still waiting for the right timing. I printed all the necessary documents to start the transaction. If I will start it, for sure I have no doubt I will make money out of it...dom
I just can't seem to find the fire anymore ...
I was all fired up when I got the book. Oh yes! I read late into the night. Suddenly, if felt like something or someone was asking how dare you? Well, two consecutive job losses later culminated in the loss of home and two luxury cars. Life has not been the same since. Out of work again! Yea--yea, these should catapult me to action but cant find the strength, the income nor credit! Just feel so drained...
Knowledge Gives Confidence, Action Gets Results
Dean's books, DVDs, and website give so much empowering information that you just can't get from anywhere else. Not only that, but it's information meant for the average person who's got a dream. This information can make those dreams become a reality by putting it into action.
For the longest time, I just devoured and consumed as much of Dean's information as I could. But I kept telling myself that I needed to be extra careful and move slowly because of today's economy, I really couldn't afford to make a mistake.
Something in the Brainstorming Session dvds from the Edge Event clicked with me. In one part, Dean was talking about getting off of that treadmill that's going no where; and then applying that energy and that effort and getting on a ladder instead. The treadmill described my jump into real estate investing. I was getting lots of knowledge, and boy was I flying on that treadmill, going nowhere.
Well, I took that confidence that the knowledge gave me and decided to take action. I decided to try Matt Larson's 25-1 system from Dean's book. I took a real estate agent to lunch, described what I wanted to do and asked her if she'd like to be part of the team I was setting up. She said yes and started sending me MLS listings according to the criteria I requested. I also suggested we make an e-mail template and I sent her one that I did by using Starr's from the book. The agent thought that was a great idea. I sent one sheet with 20 offers, she e-mailed them and two agents asked for formal short form offers. I'm waiting to hear back from the banks. Today, I sent off two more sheets with 41 offers. These are all short sales also. I know that they can take awhile to hear back from, but I can't wait that long. I'm going to try some other methods. Action, action, action. Moving towards the goals.

I haven't commented here as of yet, mainly do to the fact that I'm not sure how to sometimes - not a computor wiz by any means - so I hope this ends up in the right area that being here where we are placing our vote - I have been here since March and have so enjoyed the book and E-Mails sent to us all by DG - so I ask myself why haven't I proceded to venture out into this unknown area of "Realestate" - I truely beleive in all that is stated here, The results so far don't surprise me, being most everyone reads and are going to start soon - my life story - LOL - I am retired from the work force - and was good at what I did - but this is really out of my comfort zone - and I knew that entering the program, but at the same time knew it all made since - and would make retirement easier financially so why do we "Procrastinate" at getting started??? Anyway sorry for the Babbling on , but I'm feeling much better now - %^) - have a great day to all, and may your dreams come true - because you ( WE ) do have the tools to make it happen

I read your comment before you go buy Business Cards, you need to check out Vista Print. You can get business cards free for just shipping and handling. They have quite a few templates to choice from. A lot cheaper than going and getting them made. Hope this helps. I have gotten business cards thru before and have been quite pleased. Just very Thankful
Hi I am new to this just getting to the point that I can ask questions and start to learn. I have read Dean's Books once, and am now starting to re-read them. I am also finding that there is a lot of information, I need to find just one process to learn and master. I think I am getting confused because I am trying to learn everything at once and none of it makes sense to me and I find it very confusing. But Dean is very positive and uplifting and I feel the world is the limit. He makes me beleive in myself again even when everyone around is so negative. When I am told it doesn't work, I ask to see there track record of proof. Needless to say there isn't one. I am worth this and so is everyone on this wonderful website of Dean's Family. When you don't understand just ask there are wonderful people thru this site that will help you. I was once told the only stupid question is the one you don't ask! You learn by asking so that's what I plan on doing when I don't understand. Thank you everyone Glenda

I too am having the same issues with this . Am I not doing something right ? Is there a step by step process I should be doing . It all seems as if it works but where do you start?
It Ain't Easy but it Works.
Bought the book last Thanksgiving. Bought my first property in March 2009 and it brings in about $300/month. Working on 2 more properties.
Read the book and then GO DO IT! One of the things I got from the book is "Find ANY way you can to acquire a property." Peer-to-Peer lending is a great way to come up with cash for down payments. Rich uncles, etc... Any way you can.
It is NOT easy, but wholesale changes to your life are not generally a piece of cake.
Go do it and stick with it. If the deal falls apart, find a way to finish it.
Now get off the website and go out and find a property!
trying to impliment the plans, but can't find buyers
I am new to Dean's program and I'm having a lot of trouble just getting started. My issue is finding a buyer's list. I know a lot about the area in which I live and my home town, and I really believe there's a lot of money to be made in both places, but I can't find anyone who's interested. And I don't have the credit ar capital to buy properties and ride things out until I have some prospects. Any ideas?

I have read 2 of Dean's books, several times, and have applied most of the principles. I keep going back to parts of the books every time I am faced with a decision or an investment deal that fits one of the principles he covered in the books.
Both of my books look like they have been used and abused. I have highlighted, written in them, folded pages, took notes, put sticky notes on certain pages.... and they still work!
My family knows to NEVER touch mom's Dean books. They are sacred around here...lol!

Made a couple of auction purchases
My husband and I read the book and got very motivated. We started going to local auction and learn how the process works. We purchased a couple of properties in auction. One of them is a nice 3bd/2.5 bath which we rehabited and rented for a nice positive cash flow. The other is a beautiful 4,360 sq' property in a 2 year old community. We rented it after three weeks, even before our first payment was due. We are making $700.00 positive cash flow on that one every month.
We are very happy with our progress and planning to start working with a realtor for a trustee sale and make our first flip a reality.

Contacted three personal people to to partner up on deals.
Looked at a house.
Ran comps and had realtor run comps as a way to measure Totalview (it's a rockin' kick butt tool).
Visit this site and I have taken advantage of many free informational Audit/visual threads!
Plus, My believe in what I read with DG and the family and now I believe in myself again. If nothing else I have got that back and only paid $19.95...Priceless.

I have had Deans book for aprox one week and have read about half of it and love the information. Although I have not made money with Deans principles YET, I know that I will. You see I'm one of those people who looks back at the crash at the end of the 80s and says "If I had only been investing in real estate then!"
The market was bad then and builders were going broke and there were deals everywhere, but that market is nothing compared to this one. I dont remember the government having to bail out the banking industry back then like they did this time. I have never seen so much opportunity in real estate and I can't wait to learn as much as I can from Dean. I have purchased real estate programs before. Everything from Dave Del Dotto to Tommy Woo. Yea remember them? Where did they go. To there own private island with all the money they earned from their seminars. Dave's out there in the trenches doing it along with all of his students. He's not so arrogant as to think he "knows it all" but he knows a lot and wants to help people with it. For once I feel like I just might be able to break free and DO THIS because I have the resources to help me. Maybe I'm nieve but I just beleive it in my gut and my gut has never failed me yet. Thank you Dean for creating a blueprint for us. What each of us does with it will depend on many variables but the fact is, the information your giving us is nothing short of awesome!!! I'm sorry this is awfully long winded but I'm so excited I can't even sleep. Thanks Dean and everyone else who so dilligently adds insight and wisdom to this web site. So I may have been a little premature in checking "I've read and made money" - but I'm finally so close! I bought a 3br house at an auction today and all signs point to a nice profit. I'll be posting my success soon. Its been a slow start (since June), but I'm keeping at it! I'll be on the phone with my advisor from the Success Academy Monday for sure...

I have only read a portion of the book “PFRERN” and because real estate and foreclosures are so deeply planted in my psyche’, I came in contact with another concept/technique of my own and I have already made money - $ 300.00 just for doing some leg-work and filing a form for the homeowner at the court clerk’s office.
On my next projects – I’ll just continue to “ Move the Decimal Point “ !!

I have read both books of Deans and am looking forward to the next one. Although I am already a real estate investor, I have been given a new prospective on investing. Dean has renewed my investment spirit. At the present time I have started an LLC corporation and plan to use more strategies recommended in his books.
The banks are still not overly generous. They require a 20% down payment on investment properties. My first investment was purchased by finding a partner to help qualify for the loan and having him "quit claim deed" his portion of the property back to me for a monetary bonus. I now have a positive cash flow of $300. a month from it.
The possibilities are there if you just keep an open mind and work at it. Nothing comes without effort and Dean really supplies the knowledge.

i've read deans books and learned alot i just can not find any buyers or investors to help me get started..in central arkansas i have put serveral ads on craigs list like some of the others have said they did and started getting calls right away Ive done it 2 weeks in a row and no one has called me yet .. disapointed!! I am getting alittle leary of the program can't get any results yet but i am not giving up...
Just my personal impressions:
Dean, I have been impressed by the quality and content of your books. I believe that what they convey establishes no room for doubt that you are among what may be called 'the credible authorities' and that the training value of your books are indeed significant. My personal lack of results is the direct result of my personal lack of activity that is required to have produced them . . . not from any lack of substance or clarity in what you have written. What you contribute is valuable, appreciated and offered at a price that nearly anyone can afford. Your teachings will certainly reflect upon my eventual success.
Dean Book Readers Survey
Not finished reading, got Profit from..done, now working on Be s Realestate Millionaire. It seems to have more encouraging information. And step by step ideas. I did call on a property and am currently seeking a experienced investor partner..will see how it goes. I Don't expect to make money anytime soon since i have not gotten confirmation about my 4k scholarship to be used at Deans School. I can't get a response via web, will call when i can. My original support person has not contacted me since the address was corrected on my order. I read the site's for encouragement and to feel not so alone. I did see a Gov website i know is going to help me get my first home, and i know i will be able to get my sister out from under her terrible house problem. So I haven't made money, but my personal wealth thermostat has been elevated. So there's still hope for me I guess. that survey was really encouraging actually...that i was not alone in getting 'money' right away.
Working two deals...
Read the book, plus many more (about 20) and am converting my IRA/401k to a self-directed check-book solo 401k so that I can use the money to do deals. (It's a LOT easier if you have CA$H.) I will close on two HUD repo deals in about 30 days. These will be rehabbed and lease-optioned for about a 50% return, and then on to bigger and better opportunities...

Hello DG family!
I've read PFRERN and I'm scared to death! I've even located a couple of properties that I want to pursue, talked to the owner (several times) talked to a couple of RE agents, did some comps and even wrote up a mock offer. It just seems that every time I get ready to take that next step fear grips me and I can't move. I know that this works because I see it around me every day. It's November and I have $8.31 in my savings account and not that much more in my checking account. I want to give my family a wonderful Christmas. Just reading the inspiring stories from around the country let's me know that I need to keep pushing forward and I can make this happen! Thanks to all of you for giving me what I need to be successful. I promise myself and the entire DG family, I WILL do this.

I had to choose the one that says I have done it all and did not make money BUT, I would prefer to have the choice to say YET!!! I am in the process and moving toward success. I expect to make a lot of money very soon. I am not dismayed and I am very pleased with all of the material, the information, and the DG Family. Real success takes time, effort and dedication.
