Couldn't help but feel a kindred spirit here. As I told Bill97?? I also love H&W and truly follow a true Organic lifestyle to the best of my ability. But to truly follow such a lifestyle I make daily sacrifices from other things, as ORGANIC living becomes more & more expensive.
Also I have a friend who got her RE license a year ago but nothing has changed in her life. She wanted me to do the same, but I joined the Success A. because I feel it would give me the money faster to attain these goals later. When I've reached my financial goals then I'll be better able to help others as I am sure you will too!
Learning curve !
I have read BOTH of the books and am working with the Academy also--I feel VERY motivated by the books ! I am spending several hours a week putting the techniques into practice, with tax club calls, etc. etc. --there is a HUGE learning curve involved and I am trying to be patient, but sometimes feel overwhelmed by ALL of it---can't wait for that first deal to be completed ! I am confident it will happen, just not sure when !?
Mentor needed ASAP
I have read Deans Book twice and still cannt apply it today. Really! Would love for a mentor to contact me and help me get through my first deal. Once that is done that will be a stepping stool for me on the rest.

I have read both books
I have read the books. I have not done any deals yet. My self doubt goes back and forth. One minute, "I can do it." the next minute is "I'm comfy in my little place in this world." I love watching Dean's blogs and reading the books. They give me that, "I can really do something in this world and make a difference for my family." But then... I go back to my couch and take a nap, pay bills, file for unemployment. I have started looking at possible prospects. One is a HUD house, nice looking but vacant. The info is on the window, I've tried to email Michaelson, Connor & Boul company several times. No one has returned my questions regarding this house. I think this would be a nice start. However what do I do with it, or how do I get it. Can I assign something like this being that it is a HUD house? One thing I do know is that I do not want to go back and work for anybody else, especially a big corporation! I know I say this but will I actually do anything to make this happen.

I am a member of the success academy and have failed to make money so far. I was doubtful the system would work in Santa Barbara, Ca. due to the high cost and overabundance of realestate agents. I tried to find agents to work with, they apply the principles you teach so the market is highly competitive. I feel robbed because I'm spinning my wheels and spending money to pay for the course and do not see a return any time soon. I do not want to spend further money to set up 800 #'s and bandit signs when I'm competing against professionals with good credit. Due to the area I live in I should have listened to my instincts. I'd like to be free of the debt that I owe to date as my income is going away and the $132 payment for the success academy will break me. I believe Deans methods work just not in Santa Barbara, Ca.

MAYBE I'M DOING IT WRONG BUT,I THOUGHT THAT I'D SET THINGS UP FIRST. SO FAR I'VE SET UP MY LLC, L. BRADLEY ENTERPRISES LLC IN NEW YORK, OPENED BUSINESS BANK ACCOUNT, HAD 100 BANDIT SIGNS MADE TARGETING FORECLOSURES, MADE FLYERS, TALKING WITH TWO RE AGENTS NO BROKERS YET. I'M READY TO START MAKING OFFERS NOW AND HOPE TO REPORT A DEAL SUCCESS IN THE NEAR FUTURE.

I have just a little bit more to read in the Profit from Real estate. I have gathered together several #'s to call in the area I want to work. I want the acadamey I truley feel its the answer. At one point we (my husband) and I were all set to sign up for the acadamey we even gave a portion of money.We have had several road blocks one after the other.I never stop thinking about this buissness its real and true i feel it. I guess like many other people you feel like where do you go, how do i start,what phone# should i put on my cards how do i get that answering service, i see answers are on the web and in the books. I admire anyone who does this with out the Acadamey!!Im just holding out till we can afford the Acadamey! Were getting close to having the money together do the Acadamey!!!We had it at one point till the road blocks sucked it away... We want to be guided step by step. We've spent alot of money in our life time and I know this will be the best money we've ever spent!!!So Mr. Weight (the kind Sir from the acadamey) Don't give up on the Floods you will be hearing from us.

Everyday of my life I talk to realtors and look for properties. I've read Dean's book but have not made any money yet, but I know that his system works. Hopefully it will work for me soon.

My situation is that I have read both books and have yet to take action. That is, I have done some initial research into my neighborhoods of interest, but have not made any offers yet.
I did invest in the Empowering Conversations video series and have just watched the interview with "Indiana Joe" and Stacey and I am very excited now about getting started.
I particularly liked the video because Joe and Stacey give the details of the deal. I have felt for a long time that the information I had was a very general overview in nature and I wanted the "nuts and bolts." More details, please!

Working,Working, Working!
I've read Dean's books several times, set up my COA account, set up my LLC (Trident Realty, LLC), almost completed the Success Academy, finished the EDGE kit, printed some business cards, scoured the internet for anything and everything related to real estate and building business credit (mine sucks) and try to do something real estate related everyday. I have also develpoed a paralysis from analysis and can't seem to get over my fear of failure and the fear that if I make a mistake, I'll be financially ruined from the start.
I have no money and my credit is maxed out. My wife is a full-time student and won't be making any money for at least another 3 years.
I believe in Dean and his methods and I know that real estate is what I want to do. I work at night, so it makes it difficult for me to get things done during to day. But I refuse to quit and I know that I will succeed eventually.

Getting closer to my first Deal
I am reading deans books i have signed up for the success academy and i have enrolled in the empowering conversations.
I haven't made any money but I am getting closer to my first deal I have contacted 2 agents who are working with me sending me listings on foreclosures. I am going to go look at my first house on Thursday 11/19/09.
I have made up business cards and am speaking with everyone i come in contact with that i am a real estate investor. I have 1 person on my buyers list I have decided to do lease options(where they rent to own). She pays $1,500 a mo in rent she and her husband want to own a home and I am going to find them one!
I am working on making flyers to post in laundry mats and apt complexes.
I now I can do this, it takes time to put the pieces of the puzzle together but i wil stay with it no matter how long it takes me and once I make my first deal and gain that confidence WATCH OUT! Thank you Dean and the DG family. DC

I didn't find the answer for me, so here it is. I've read the books, am applying the techniques and am well on my way to making money, though haven't had my first deal yet.

I tried but the vote wouldn't register. That is alright I didn't feel that any of theese categories really fit me. I have bought several REI courses in the past, and using that information I have bought some properties. After seeing Deans TV add I bought his two books BARM and PRFRERN hoping to get new information and tactics I could use. The wealth of information and knowledge is fantastic, this by far is the best book or course I have gotten. Armed with information, tactics and Deans web site, my eyes have been opened to so many new possibilities of acquiring properties. I have not bought anything since getting Deans books back at the end of september, but I have a deal real close at this time. I have a naysayer, Judy, that has been down on this, I finally got her to read both books. She is on board now, but she wants everything to come right now, sometimes in REI it doesn't work like that. There will be several failures to every successfull deal. All you new DG members, as I am, you need to read the books,reread the books, learn your target area, get a realtor, and get out there and find and get one of those deals. If you have deals that you lose, don't get discouraged, I have lost so many deals, but I have gotten some too, keep at it and you will land that deal. From someone who has bought several REI courses, I can't say this enough read Deans books and reread them, they will give you the knowledge to make these deals. If I had Deans books earlier I would have been able to close some of the deals I have lost. Thank You Dean and all the DG Members --- Kolby

When I fist picked up his book I was all into it, reading mostly at night ya know...But he would start off telling me something really good and then.. to be continued... but it made me want to read even more!!! But i made it. That was in early summer and I'm now really pushing my first deal never met the guy but he just has to be God related (smile) Thanks for all your hard work Dean!!!!!
reading of books
Did you set up your business entity before getting the website and 1-800 number set up...that is where I am stalled at. I am dying to get started but don't want to have to change the name of the website or on the phone message or business cards...all costing money. It is killing me to wait because I am watching all of the houses that we are looking at being sold or sent to auction.

I have read the book and am applying the principles to assigning contracts. I have posted ads, found a real estate agent and looked at properties. I am just pursuing that 1st seller to lock into a contract! I WILL make money and am excited. Dean's book is awesome and is easy to read and understand. Thank you in advance. Did everything outlined in the book for 7 months & made no money because the claims that IT WORKS ANYWHERE aren't true because it doesn't work in San Diego county!!

I bought the books,enrolled in success academy,joined tax club and rest of package. All info was great and was delivered as promised. I have been behind in learning methods since starting course but I still work on strategies and am still excited about my ability to use methods to increase my gross earnings. I think Dean's affers are genuine and all the help and support are there as promised. Thanks for the opportunity!!!!!!

Just starting reading the book
Hello everyone. My name is Gus Ramirez and im 23 years old and just starting reading profit from real estate right now. I must say that it is a bit scary getting into something new especially real estate.As i did research in this journey i realized that it is not as difficult as it sounds(at least for me)The most difficult part is not doing anything to apply what you've learned. My two older brothers have the books and I'm right behind them. They're at the verge of making there first move.
So over all, you really have to surround yourself with positive people. I'm really lucky that my brothers are so positive and money hungry.
So since i just started the book. I have tendency of skimming through the book and sometimes i wont understand certain things. Does anybody else do this? Can i do research on the side first? Does the book Really lay it out for you on a silver platter? I'm just trying to see if this is really for me. Any help will do.

after reading the books I made an offer on a 2200 sf duplex. in an estate $12,000. They took it. How many thousands did the book save me because I own 29 rental units and I probably paid way to much befor but never again. Do not be afraid to offer a low price. they may say yes. then who wins.

An Investment on Myself
I got Dean's last two books and have not put them down. I made my first offer about two weeks into the book. I did not get it "yet", but it help me overcome my fears. I tried to do an assigment, but so far has not work out, but does not mean it won't. The growth I have done during the last six to eight weeks can't compare with any money I might have made. We have to realize, specially us, who's credit is not up part or being through something in live, can appreciate the opportunity the most. We have to take a good hard look on ourselves and our Networth and take it from there. Start to put a team together and dont be affraid to make offers. I have my agent lined up, who's sending me deals and is working with me on some shortsales. Remember, If we don't respect the money we have, how can we handle the moneys that might come up on some deals. Some of us have to be patient, but must "TAKE ACTION" in doing what we can at the moment and grow.

I ordered the book's back in Feb,09.There is so much information here to absorb... that it becomes some what a little overwhelming in deciding which path best suit's your need's.However,I have found a course of action to work on. Hey Dean, I bought your first book from Boarders Book about a year ago and attempted to pursue real estate investing with a partner but he stopped communicating with me so I stopped too.But as fate would have it I was up late a few months ago and saw your program and your new book and the excitement rose up in me all over again realizing I can do this buy myself and with all the support that you mentioned...Hay snap!It was a rap for me. I am at chapter seven in the new book and still reading.I've had a little experience in investing with a Real Estate School here in Baltimore which turned out to be a bad experience for me! However I know your program is the Real Deal! I will be taking ACTION on what you have given us dean.

I have both of Dean books, but I havent applied any of the methods as of yet. I do intend to work Deans system. At the present time I'm waiting to get the money I need to pay for a coach. I have read the books and they get you so excited, but then Im stuck and dont know where to start. I have searched my surrounding neighborhoods and found some very nice properties. Fear have me stuck, but I am going to get past this.
