Thanks for posting that poem. Today I had a couple of my deals fall through that I had been working on for a while. It was very discouraging and disappointing--they would be my first deals. I get close and just can't close the deal. At the end seller's back out or want more money, etc.

So I came on the site to give my self a boost of "Yes I Can!" and the first thing I see was your poem posted. It is a good reminder to myself that I will not let it stop me and like Dr. Suess says "You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself in any direction you choose."

Seeing your poem was really what I needed, more than you know. Again, thank you and thanks to your mom.

It reminds me of another poem by Edgar A. Guest that I was given several years ago. Here it is.

It Couldn’t Be Done

by Edgar A. Guest

Somebody said that it couldn’t be done,
But, he with a chuckle replied
That "maybe it couldn’t," but he would be one
Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried.
So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin
On his face. If he worried he hid it.
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn’t be done, and he did it.

Somebody scoffed: "Oh, you’ll never do that;
At least no one has done it";
But he took off his coat and he took off his hat,
And the first thing we knew he’d begun it.
With a lift of his chin and a bit of a grin,
Without any doubting or quiddit,
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn’t be done, and he did it.

There are thousands to tell you it cannot be done,
There are thousands to prophesy failure;
There are thousands to point out to you one by one,
The dangers that wait to assail you.
But just buckle it in with a bit of a grin,
Just take off your coat and go to it;
Just start to sing as you tackle the thing
That "couldn’t be done," and you’ll do it.

I just want to let everyone know that the road that I decided to travel nearly 4 years ago has been a very tough road. There were potholes, road blocks, and car problems but, it was so worth it. I don't wish this path to be easy for anyone. It needs to be tough. You really enjoy how hard it was when you get to where you wanted to go. I will be honest, this morning when I wrote this post I broke down. All of the emotions surfaced when I thought about everything I have gone thru in the past 4 years to get to where I am now. Now I can make money almost at will. I can live where I want. I can do what I want. I have 2 closings this week where the profits are in the six figure range. I have people calling me nearly every day to tell me they want to send me their money because they want to buy a house from me or they want to invest with me. Things are really starting to roll. It was so worth it! Please don't give up! Please be willing to go thru the tough times. Success is on the other side of failure! You can not lose unless you quit! You can not be denied if your will to succeed is strong enough! Get it done!
