WHAT IT TAKES TO BE SUCCESSFUL

Do you really want to be successful in REI. It really not all that hard, But it does take some work. If I had just read the book one time and had not been a member of the success academy, Their is no way I would have done over 40 deals in less than 18 months with no money, Bad credit and bankruptcy. The point I am trying to get across is that it took me 9 months to do my first deal. Read this again, IT took me 9 months. The reason is I was just starting off and everybody told me this wouldn't work. It was illegal, You have no money etc. I can't start to tell you how many attorneys and agents that I talk to that kept saying NO NO NO NO, And deep down I new other people were doing it and I was going to too. I am sure glad that i did not let no are fear stand in the way. So it's really simple if you think about it, forget about the no,s and keep moving on till you have a yes team. Today in my journey in REI if you are not a yes person I am truly sorry but I have no time for you are anything else. You are who you hang around with. So if you want results go get that yes team. And talk to anyone that is succeeding in REI and see how many NO people are on their team,

My story is lot like most. I

My story is lot like most. I live in Denton, TX which is part of the Dallas / Ft Worth metroplex. Filed bankruptcy three months ago. Working a full-time and a part-time job. Due to health issues, my wife does not work. I bought the books over a month ago. I love them. Some of the marketing ideas I cannot utilize right now due to funds.

Financially, I am desperate. Mathew Riney is the first person I have talked too and he said he could work out an arrangement with me to become a member of the Success Academy. I haven't figured out a way to get the money or deposit. My parents are realtors, but not very active. They are in their late 70s. I want to ask them for the deposit, but when I showed them the books and a few ideas, my mom is a doubter.

I think it is too much to start on my own, so I really want to join the SA. I need it. Failure is not an option. I just need the funds. Any ideas?

I know it may seem hard, But if you don't ask you will never know. And if you have read the books a few times be prepared to answer some of the questions. Keep a positive attitude no matter what happens. Wish you the best of luck.

You said it fear

Go look in the mirror and ask yourself what you are really afraid of. What can the people do to you that you talk to. They can't eat you they can't throw you in jail. but if the did you get 3 meals a day/lol' And for every no you get you are one step closer to a yes.

Fear???

Your only fear should be that you are able to bring groceries in the fridge and keep a roof over your head.

Rejection???

Who hasn't been rejected??? If you've survived being rejected by a girl you liked in high school or college, you can surely survive being rejected by someone you don't know(realtor, agent, fellow DGer, etc). They are all a dime a dozen.

If you're going to be scared about something, it should be getting left behind and then thinking "what if???", and "why didn't I???" and "I should have".

First thing to do is know what you are doing and what you exactly want to do. Once you know that, everything else is icing. Not saying its easy, but nothing worth fighting for is, but you'll enjoy it and work more towards it.

Thanks Mary, Good luck with your Success Academy, I'm doing it too and I just signed up for Set for Life system and it's amazing so far, Still haven't received my edge 2010 dvd's though. Currently working on building my buyer's list and then will do wholesale deals. I'm very excited and nervous at the same time when I'll be working with other investors. God Bless, hope you do good.

Hi Artemroy and Thank you for the Nice note! Thank you for sharing your plan too- I like it!

Just a bit more on my plans...When I get my first place I will likely have/hire a property management company to place a big 'for rent' sign out front of my first place- for two or three months(I know of a property management company).
My new neighbors will perhaps think that I am renting from someone else(?, and yes - I will be renting - likely from my own LLC. I'm not the neighbor that brought their property values down by letting my house foreclose but since I will get a great deal on my place (when my neighbors paid thousands more for their place).I was Not the cause of the previous owners problems but did buy the house. I know someone who got a great deal on a HUD home years ago and her neighbors were unhappy with her-and told her so...She wasn't the reason the house was so cheap and she and her husband did sink some money into the place for repairs.(I feel that the neighbors will not like me much if they see that I got the great deal).
I also will likely have another business or two and simply share that I have a few small business and that floats my boat - Thank God!
I also want to employ and help others.
So yes - even though things have changed others will still judge and someone will benefit so why not us?

It may sound lame to rent from my own LLC - in order to throw off bad perceptions by others. If someone figured it out - I'd share that sure I rent from my own business! It's actually legal. I'd also see if they wanted to do what I did and
show them how...then hope for the best.
