OK, I should have started this earlier, so I have some catching up to do.
Saw Dean's infomercial on TV on Nov. 1, order his book the next day. Received his book about a week later, completed both of his books and the "success secrets" booklet on November 23rd.
November 24th, set up my voice mail, posted some adds on Craiglist & Kijiji, set up a new e-mail account, started website. Some of my add got removed?? Maybe I posted too many?
November 25th, opps realized I forgot to leave my phone number on the voice mail. Figured out how to add a closing without re-recording the whole message...whew! Got a few hang-up voice mails, someone listened to the whole message, but didn't leave a message. It's nice to get notification of calls. Ordered AFF, ran a few of the reports, not too many properties came up, all of them were from Craigslist. Have to come up with a script to e-mail the few prospects that did come up. The form generators, and webpage generators that came with AFF are great!! I couldn't get the webpage name that I wanted to generate correctly, I need to come back to that. Need to read up on how to set up the website promotions, the Dan Hollings information was great!! Need to print out some flyers and post them in the local area (grocery stores, library...). Starting to build a contact list of realtors and mortgage brokers that I can begin to contact. Didn't win the scholarship, called to inquire about the academy, I think I waited too late, left a message.
November 26th - Happy Thanksgiving!!! - No work on the business today.
November 27th - Didn't get in as much time as I would have liked today working on my real estate business. Car was in for service, so I didn't make it to the store for printing supplies, will have to do that tomorrow. Set up my home phone to go to voice mail instead of answering machine so I don't have to worry about the boys deleting an important message, plus I now get notified via e-mail if I get a message. Haven't heard back in the academy, will have to call again tomorrow.

With the holidays coming up, had a lot of errands to run!!!
There are a lot of deals floating around our local REI club! Your local REI club can be a great resouce. So far I have gotten an attorney and a rehab contractor through my club. Plus a lot of the members are on my buyers list!
In addition they bring in speaker every month to educate us on various aspects of real estate investing.

Be sure you have your own dreams! There are going to be times where you will need motivation to move forward. Keep that dream in front of you at all times!

It was a great weekend! My brother and his family are in town for Christmas! Been too long since I have seen them. In addition we celebrated my father's birthday and a lot of my aunts, uncles and cousins showed up to help celebrate! It was a great day.
I have figured out a way to integrate SFL with Taffic Geyser...wooo hooooo!!! I can't wait to get everything up and running!
My contractor has a potential muti-unit deal for me! Looks like a great opportunity!

I know that Traffic Geyser has something to do w/SFL, but I wasn't able to get that, so I just say, "If all this hard work you're doing on it helps Santa navigate the traffic better, then YEE HAW!"

I am officially on vacation until next year. But that doesn't mean I am on vacation from Real Estate.
My top three goals for the vacation week are:
1. Finish the Traffic Geyser program.
2. Cash buyer research at the courthouse.
3. Probate research at the courthouse.
I also plan on spending some quality time with my family.

First of all Merry Christmas all your DGers, Dean & Staff!
Big Goals - I have set my goals on retiring before I am 50! I think I can do it within 2 years. Here's how, I am going to buy & hold 1 property a month for the next 2 years. At the end of 2 years the cashflow from my properties should replace my income. In order to get 1 property a month I need to make 25 offers a month or about 1 offer per day (thanks Matt Larson).
I put together a list of top 10 tasks for my vacation week:
1. Complete my Traffic Geyser video program & post my first video
2. Research the list of cash buyers I have at the courthouse.
3. Research probates at the courthouse.
4. Find an account who is knowledgeable with real estate.
5. Run ads for property locators (thank Carol).
6. Order "I Buy Houses" business cards.
7. Research Massachusetts cities & towns to expand into.
8. Find a Massachusetts realtor in the areas I am interested.
9. DONE - Put together my retirement plan (see above).
10. Set up my Google voice mail account
I will let you know how I did at the end of the week. Off to work on my video!

Well day one of Christmas was awesome! The kids loved their gifts and we had a great dinner & gift swap at the in-laws! Day two continues today with my family! It will be especially special since all my siblings nieces and nephews will be there, which I think is a first for a very long time! Looking forward to it.
On a business note, I got my new squeeze page set up, I still need to set up the auto-responder, check it out and let me know what you think. I was able to set this up with a combination of SFL & Traffic Geyser. Both products are endorsed by Dean!

I was hoping for a white Christmas, the snow showed up a day late, but we have gotten quite a bit, it is still snowing, not sure how much we got yet. We were expected to get 12 - 20 inches.
Today is the first day of vacation (from my job anyhow). Expect to put a lot of time towards my business.
Goals for the Day:
1. Set up my auto-responder for Traffic Geyser in SFL.
2. Change my Seller's site in SFL to generic (right now it is set up for Foreclosures).
3. Set up my Google Voice Mail
4. Order my "I Buy Houses" business cards.

Yesterday was a great day to stay home & catch up on real estate. I think we ended up with about a foot of snow (had to tell will all the drifting).

2. Research Mass cities & towns, looking for entry level areas, low crime, low taxes.
3. Locate a realtor in those areas.

Well, made some good progress yesterday! I still have a few things to follow up on today.
The Traffic Geyser system is amazing, once it is set up, it makes it so easy to post new information. I have a few failed posts, turns out I had the user name and/or password set up wrong, easy fix. (I have a separate post for Traffic Geyser).
Today I am going to check on the traffic Geyser, follow up on phone calls, and get some signs posted.
Been looking into a new laptop, the one I am using is old and not great for the videos that I will be doing.
