OK, I should have started this earlier, so I have some catching up to do.
Saw Dean's infomercial on TV on Nov. 1, order his book the next day. Received his book about a week later, completed both of his books and the "success secrets" booklet on November 23rd.
November 24th, set up my voice mail, posted some adds on Craiglist & Kijiji, set up a new e-mail account, started website. Some of my add got removed?? Maybe I posted too many?
November 25th, opps realized I forgot to leave my phone number on the voice mail. Figured out how to add a closing without re-recording the whole message...whew! Got a few hang-up voice mails, someone listened to the whole message, but didn't leave a message. It's nice to get notification of calls. Ordered AFF, ran a few of the reports, not too many properties came up, all of them were from Craigslist. Have to come up with a script to e-mail the few prospects that did come up. The form generators, and webpage generators that came with AFF are great!! I couldn't get the webpage name that I wanted to generate correctly, I need to come back to that. Need to read up on how to set up the website promotions, the Dan Hollings information was great!! Need to print out some flyers and post them in the local area (grocery stores, library...). Starting to build a contact list of realtors and mortgage brokers that I can begin to contact. Didn't win the scholarship, called to inquire about the academy, I think I waited too late, left a message.
November 26th - Happy Thanksgiving!!! - No work on the business today.
November 27th - Didn't get in as much time as I would have liked today working on my real estate business. Car was in for service, so I didn't make it to the store for printing supplies, will have to do that tomorrow. Set up my home phone to go to voice mail instead of answering machine so I don't have to worry about the boys deleting an important message, plus I now get notified via e-mail if I get a message. Haven't heard back in the academy, will have to call again tomorrow.

It's hard to believe that a year has come & gone. One good thing, no matter what happened in the past you can still change your course and move forward.
Well, things are really starting to pick up! I am finalizing my Traffic Geyser postings. I have to follow up with a bunch of realtors that left me e-mails and I have over a dozen responses to my "Property Locator" ad!
In addition, my mentor contracted my and we are going to start meeting regularly. First meeting is next weekend.
I also got a call from a DGer that I had messaged, he has a house that he is losing, going to see if I can help him.
All this should keep me pretty busy....off I go.

My new business cards came into today! Going to start handing them out everywhere!
Finally getting organized for all my phone calls, unfortunately it is now 9pm, started making calls but all I am getting is voice mails. Will have to try again at noon and earlier tomorrow evening. I got over 20 responses to my property locator ad!!! Going to do a telephone interview for the first round and narrow the list down. Then go face to face. I am sure there is a diamond in the rough among the group!

Well..again I didn't get to all the calls. I have talked to 3 different real estate investors over the past 2 days! It is always great to talk to other investors.

Week 1 2011 is off to a great start! Having a hard time keeping up with all the phone calls! Tomorrow is catch up day. The traffic geyser campaign is still on-going, will keep you posted on the results!
Tomorrow should be a big day. I am meeting up with a local investor that wants to work some deals with me! I am also meeting with my mentor to come up with a game plan for the up-coming year! Here's to early retirement! (well maybe not yet with upcoming college! LOL)

Busy day today, along with some weekend errands I have two meetings with local real estate investors, both who want to work with me! Plus phone calls to follow up on to realtors and property locators!

Spent the better part of the day search for homes on the internet. It is amazing how many people are asking too much!
I found a couple of great tools for Craigslist. One that works with firefox, it automatically brings up the photos, plus you can set up e-mail scripts prewritten! Pretty cool! It's called Craigslist Fusion.

More snow...sleet...rain today!
Got home and part of the heat was not working, somehow some air got in the lines...all fixed now, but ate into my REI time! UGGHHHH Try to make the best of it!

Glad you enjoy my journal! I think traffic geyser will be awesome, I think it will take a few months to really get things cranking, I have gotten a few prospects already! The craigslist checker seems to be working, I will still do a manual search!

Tonight was the monthly local Real Estate Investors group meeting. They had two speakers, the first were two full time investors that talk about how the analyze properties. It was excellent and right in line with what the academy teaches!
The second speaker was a painter who talked about the local lead paint laws.
All the information was great. Best of all at the end of the meeting a fellow DGer came up to me to introduce himself. We chatted till they kicked us out of the room. He is just starting out.
We are passing on the 25 unit...Next!

I refinanced my rental property today....finally!
I found a local bank that has no seasoning requirements, and guess what, I got a nice check back at closing...and it still cashflows!!!!!!!!!!!!
