Dean thanks for the pep talk. I am still very new to this. I joined the Success Academy about 3 months ago then in the first of Nov. my huband fill and broke his knee cap didn't have to have surgery but was in splint for 6wks so I had to put it on hold. Then one day while at work I get a invitation to your Insiders Edge I went to itand am so ready to restart my dreams

New Year New Attitude

Everyone makes New Years Resolutions.I have always felt as though I can't set goals because I've never been able to financially achieve them. I have had such a negative attitude about life that I have accepted things the way they are instead of changing them. This year my resolution is to set small goals, like Dean says, real small ones, achieveable goals. Set up a few per week no matter how ridiculous they are, as long as you are getting them done. Write them down and put them up where you'll see them all the time, cross them off when they are achieved no matter how insignificant they are. Once you get used to doing this. Make the goals a little harder, increase the numbers of contacts you make, etc.
We all can do this. Thanks DEAN!

Dean, that Insider's Edge conference in Amarillo this week was fantastic. The promised refreshments were missing, which made the 5 hours seem like even longer (no supper or snacks), but the information was fantastic. I can't wait to get started, make 2011 a marvelous year, find out more about the private money lending program and start using tax lien certificates to help fund my other business endeavors. What a great way to raise capital!

Words of Inspiration

Thanks Dean for the word of encouragement and the tips on how not to set myself up for failure. I plan to be another one your success stories because Im looking for a change and I know you can help guide me. Keep these blogs coming

Thank you!!!

Dean, you are so right with making small goals and taking small steps. Merlyn and I have set goals but haven't accomplished very many of them. After watching your blog I realized we had too many large goals set to do in just a short period of time. I'm now getting ready to cut them down and make them more manageable.

Thanks again for the great advice and Happy New Year.

How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time!

davejinpa's picture

Dean,
Your message reminded me of the old adage, "how do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time." The task at hand appears to be overwhelming and impossible to achieve but if we take small steps. or bites, we will eventually finish that elephant or accomplish our goal of becoming a successful real estate investor. Thanks for your continued encouragement, we all need to be given that kick in the pants.

determined but fearful

hi DG family just wanted to say that this week's video was very empowering to me. i do frequently set high goals that i don't achieve n when i don't i r get really down on myself. so thanx for the tip and i hope to complete my first deal in the future, in the near future i hope.

Thank you Dean.

Dean, I would wake up at night with my television on, there you were on your infomercial. This happened several times in a 6-month period. I ordered 2 of your books and read them, attended 2 real estate seminars in my area given by your team. All of this happened in 2010. I know this is what I should be doing because I really have a passion for it, or to just really get started. I am unemployed (almost a year now), trying to hold on to my house and my excellent credit. I really have to get started and stick with it. Dean, I just want to thank you for all of your encouraging blogs.

May GOD continue to bless you and your family.

THANK YOU DEAN

YOUR RIGHT TO CLIME THE MOUNTAIN YOU HAVE TO START AT THE BOTTIOM. ONE STEP AT A TIME.I GUESS IT'S LEARNING TO BE PATIENT. THANKS!

Blog # 110

When you fall down you have to get up on your stuck to the ground. I am disabled and know that for a fact. I am not successful yet but one of these days I will get a buyer and another buyer and things will just start to roll down hill slowly. I will get in the groove and move. I pray the groove comes soon it's been almost 7 months and no buyers no matter what trick I play. Fake it till you make it and keep smiling while you do it. People will believe if you believe. Happy New Year to You and Yours!

Thanks for all you do for us!

Dean, thank you for all of the encouragement you give us. It is so true!!! It just takes one slip and we could end up right back to were we where (trying to get out of). Little is better easier to be able to climb back from a slip. The bigger the goal the harder to acheve the most appet to fail.

Thanks,

Bertha

THANK YOU FOR LOOKING OUT FOR ME!!

HI DEAN!! I LOVE WHEN YOU SAID "SUCCESS IS BUILT ON FAILURE" AND I WANT TO USE THAT PHASE FOR MY MOTIVATION. I TOO HAVE FALLEN BY THE WAY SIDE BECAUSE OF NOT REACHING MY PLATEAU BUT YOUR VIDEO HAS PUT ME BACK IN THE SADDLE AND START OVER AGAIN!! THANKS A MILLION DEAN!!

Thanks Dean

My last few years have been a nightmare. No matter what I did seem to be negative. After I went to your training Dec 2010, everything changed. I now realized that sometimes you have to hit bottom to change your red light habits.
When your making good money, your in your comfort zone, and it becomes easy to fall back in your old ways. The best thing for me was to reevaluate my goals, and life. Hitting bottom was a negative thing to many people, but for me was a waking up call. This year 2011 I know will be my best year ever.

Thanks Dean and all the team members love all your stories and help.

Better late than never

Dear Dean,

Thanks for all you present to me and the rest of your members. Your new years blog is truly inspirational and educational, as well.

I am looking forward to a great year in real estate and other passive income avenues.

It has taken me a long time to get out of my comfort zone and still struggling with it, but with mentors like you and encouragement from family and friends, it is better late than never.

Sincerely,

Richard E Chavez

Thank You Dean

goal setting.

I use a goal chart that gives me points for every task that I accomplish for the month giving me a documented success rate that shows me how committed i am or where I am lacking in my goals. sometimes its hard to see that I dropped the ball and guilt gets me to try harder.
Thanks Dean, Carlos
