Dean Graziosi Weekly Video Blog #137 - Road To Success

Dean Graziosi Weekly Video Blog
In this week's blog Dean shares some wisdom relating to failing as a part of the road to success. Part of this is a helpful exercise to help identify what is working for you and what isn't. Once you've finished this exercise you will have a better appreciation for the things you did that didn't work and how to focus on the things that are working.

Also, Dean hints at some big things in the works that he will be revealing in the near future. Be sure to watch for all the emails coming your way and check back at the site often so you don't miss a thing.

Great Reminder

Hey Dean,

Thanks for giving us a great way to look at the bumps in the road that we all encounter.

I love what Edison said when they asked him about failing 1000 times when trying to make the incandescent light bulb. He said "I didn't fail. I successfully found 1000 ways it would not work."

Warm regards,
Angie

Financing

The major setback or obstacle is financing. To certain extent, one needs funds to move a deal or close.

Reaching Trial n Right?

Thanks Dean,
I need to remind myself; that the secret of success is constancy of purpose. Thank you for the blog- I want to continue !!! Failure or Success it all counts. But hopefully I will get it right.

Thank you so much for the pep talk! I am encouraged by the positive feedback. It reminds me to look at the glass as being half-full instead of half-empty. I am in the game and moving forward!

Real Estate is like life

AndyS's picture

Thanks Dean for another lesson. I always try to live my life with this one idea... SEE THE BIGGER PICTURE.
Sometimes we get so caught up with one aspect of a situation that we don't see the bigger picture.
To quote my late Father:
Success only comes from trying. Failure only comes from not trying.

Have a good week,

Failures

Yes this was encouraging, and I have had a lot of no's, but I am not going to give up, my success will come when I can quit my job and do what I love.

Dean--As always such wonderful words of wisdom. I'm having my son, Navarre (17) listen to it as it reinforces the lessons I've been trying to teach him about life!

Just so you know, I just closed on my second Fannie Mae property and the first one I bought will be ready to rent by next week! I'm in the middle of negotiations on a third property with a goal of closing on it by the end of July.

Thanks for all you do for us. You are a blessing!

Thanks for all you do Dean,

Thanks for all you do Dean, for i am at a major fork in the road right now! Unemployed and having a very hard time getting my focus back! I truely believe that first deal will change things around, if i can just get it done!

Fork in the Road

Well when you put it like that, it makes so much more sense!!! Thamks Dean!!!

FAIL & WIN

Thanks Dean I think of failing and winning are the same you can't do with out one or the other they both require work they both keep you busy. EDGAR

FAILURES

Its been one failure after another and I haven't gave up and I've met some investors that are willing to help. One has been investing for 8 years and is successful. I got to ride with him and look at about 15 of his properties and he is willing to do a package deal with me. I have investors in India and getting things set up has been a challenge. Have another investor that wants to much for his properties and is asking for fmv. on all his properties. He's better to hold those and buy even more properties at a discount. He's out of state though and would prefer to sell. Have another real estate agent that works with bank reo's and tax liens. She has some good deals. My weakness is marketing and I'm working on that. Need to work harder on all the action steps. Finding banks that will work with me and a good mortgage broker. I'm still missing alot pieces but I try to focus on those and keep taking steps. I will get this done. Thanks Dean and I will continue to refocus on my failures and shortfalls...

Dean I thought the blog was great as all yours seem to be. My eyes were open wide to the facts that all of our failures do enter in to the success formula I'm going to try and be a little more patient and understanding, especially when things just seem to go all wrong and out of whack.

confused

I seem to be having a motivation problem. I have doubts. I'm confused in what path to take and what steps to take first, second, third, etc. I'm the one that always tells my friends not to give up, and the more no's you hear means you're getting closer to a yes. It kinda feels like the first time I jumped into a pool not knowing if I could swim and just didn't do it until someone was there to help me. You really seem to want to help everyone succeed more than the other programs I've tried. So what's my problem? Maybe you could shed a little light on my situation.

Road To Success

Hi Dean,

I just love watching your blogs of inspiration. Success have been a long time coming for me. Every time I watch one of your blogs I get closer to my dream of success from your words of encouragement. I have been struggling with the fear of failing for years but I'm ready to take that leap of faith just to see what is possible. I know what you are saying is real I've just been to afraid to take the leap yet. Before this year is gone I will purchase a few properties and hope to become a part of your top successful students. Anyhow please keep blessing us with your wisdom and may the lord's blessings continue to shine on you and your family. I'm looking forward to putting my first deal together soon.

Be Blessed!

And I can't wait to go down that road, whether I fail or succeed, I'm just gonna see it as succeeding anyways because I at least decided to go forth on this road and as you say so well Dean, "Get in the Game!" I really like this excercise and I'm totally gonna apply this to the path of focus and be amazed at all I've done to stay in the game. Thanks again Dean for doing another awesome and GAME CHANGING PERSPECTIVE blog! Smiling Much love to you Dean and the rest of the DG family. I look forward to the awesome unveilment of what you have planned in the next few weeks and I look forward to hearing from you soon!

Fear of failure

I am not sure how it happened but I for one have been in the habit of avoiding failure and worked hard at not failing. This concept of success being born of failure is new to me. I am starting to see that it is ok to fail in an attempt to learn and get ahead. I have felt that I was a failure and that meant that I was not good enough. Isn't that interesting. Keep these blogs coming Dean and I just might get the hang of it and soar to heights I never imagined. It seems to me that this failure to fail impedes the taking action and just do part. Does this seem a little to deep ?

Dean, this is what I needed to get "PUMPED" again about RE investing!

I just saw a video recently that someone did about how the thing that makes the difference between REAL RE Investors is JUST DOING IT!!

I was JUST thinking about this concept recently!!

I WONDER just HOW MANY of us are or WERE--RIGHT
at the point of becoming a "WINNER", when we GAVE UP!! Sad

I have a new outlook Dean!!
Thanks for reminding us!! Smiling

Warmly,
Patty

Never Giving Up

Shellsell's picture

Hi Dean,

This is one of your best teaching blogs.
Since coming to the DG site. I have learned so
much about failure from you and the DG family.
Most importantly is not to be afraid of failure and
not to focus on them, and to keep moving forward. If you keep focusing on past failures you will not have clear vision for making the right turn in the fork in the road.

Thanks for taking time to do another video blog.
We enjoy them very much. Have a great week.

great idea

StacyKae's picture

I really like this failures/winners list. It is a very valuable and visible way to see your progress. It can be easy to get bogged down in the failures, but recognizing that each time you fail you become closer to winning is very important. Making note of all the little wins and failures can be very valuable in fine tuning your business later as well. This is a numbers game which really means we all are going to have a large list of fails before we gain a large list of wins. So in effect the more fails we have the bigger the wins will be in the long run as long as we do not quit.

Words of Encouragement at the right time

I have slowed down in the last couple of months, anxiety and frustration level high, with a host of personal challenges. But over all your suggestion on a list of pros and cons, learning from the list from failures is an excellent reminder to keep my balance, focus and zeal burning.

Thank You Dean

THANKS dEAN!

YOUR BLOGS ARE SO AMAZING! I'M IN THE POSITION WHERE THE DEALS AREN'T GOING MY RIGHT WAY JUST YET BUT IM GOING TO KEEP TRYING! THANKS FOR THE PUSH!

Hey Dean,

Thanks for the motivation talk. I can see clearly now!
