I've been sitting on the sidelines the past couple of months and after doing the exercise, I realize that I have a lot of work to do if I plan to be that person at 98 that I would like to be. It's time to really get in the game and get moving on those dreams I keep having!
Thank you for the little kick in the pants.
Thank you so much Dean for the advice. I do have to be reminded from time to time that I need to take a break. i will admit that I'm definitely a workaholic. But I doing it a little differently now I'm trying to dedicate as much time as possible into being a successful re investor. As a single mom of 2 beautiful children, full time college student, who works part time and is trying to become a successful re investor it seems like there is no time left to stop and smell the roses. it is definitely necessary to take breaks. i'm just trying to work hard at real estate investing like i would workat a job until i start to reap the benefits of real estate investing as my business. I figure if i could be that dedicated to making someone else rich why cant i work just that hard or even harder for myself. but i will try to stop an smell the roses if only for a moment:)
Great message, live life to the fullest every day. Always set goals. Hope you are enjoying your vacation. I love Balboa Island, it is so nice there. I like the ferry you take your car on.
A look at the future has made me ponder the past. It was over 20 years ago that I first got interested in Real Estate Investing. I still have not started, it seems something has always gotten in the way. I guess its time to start really trying and applying myself before another 20 years goes by. Good video, I am looking forward to a fruitful future.
That Brody is a cutey. Glad you could take time
for that vacation. Thanks for all you are doing
for us, you are an inspiration. Your website is
an inspiration. Your blogs are very good, they
always help me refocus. Have a great time with
your family.
thanks dean,i enjoy your blogs.not info overload, just a taste to keep you moving forward, which by the way i really needed.
i,m probably the king of procrastination but i,m working on that.keep moving forward, rob
Your video has a very positive mental outlook. But what if I want to live forever without ever growing old, getting sick, and dying then I would have all eternity to do everything I always wanted to do and not be in a rush. I liked what you said about why wait till I'm 95 years old to do what I can do now. Excellent. Reading your book YOUR TOWN right now and I want to invest in real estate especially lease options but I have some questions. Thanks, Clarion
Dean thanks for taking time out of your vacation with you family to worry about us. Yesterday is gone and we can only learn from that. Yes we all need to live for today for that maybe all we have. So live life to the fullest. For tomorrow is just a wish not a promise. Hope you & your family have a great vacation and cannot wait to see what you and your staff have up their sleeves.
Dean I hope to live to 100 if I am still able to enjoy life, family and friends. I chose several years ago to leave the 9 to 5. Although I'm not yet where I desire to be financially. I made the mental shift that will propel me to true financial freedom. And when things don't always look promising I know that a long healthy, happy, wealthy, and fulfilling life is possible and it starts, Right Now!
Today is the first day of the rest of my life. I better get going as I am already 67 so I have a lot of time to make up! lol. My new inspiration quote is: "I'll do it today' it's now or never. I'm not going to live forever!"
Do take time to smell the roses. Those little ones grow up so fast. Pretty soon you will be teaching Brody the business. Have a good time and thanks for all you do. I know you are planning something big. Blessings!! shellsell
Dean, Thank you for taking time out from your family vacation to share this lesson on life "What age do you want to live"? You are so right about this lesson. Why do we have to wait, or put off when we can be doing right not.
At 82 yrs of age I have a lot of yrs to go back over..but my goal today and everyday from now on that the Lord allows me, is to count my blessings, and I have had and have many, and to do at least one thing each day that will help advance my real estate goals. I can't afford to put off to tomorrow what I must do today...Times-a-Wastin'. I've benefited from the wisdom of Carlton Sheets in the past (30 yrs ago) read Donald Trump,Kyosoki, John Beck, Robert Allen and others over the years and I've found that you, Dean, to me, have offered more advice, opportunity to learn from other's experiences and given solid info and inspiration on your blogs just for the cost of your book alone. I feel your genuinenes coming thru on TV as well as tour Blog. I'm looking forward to working with you and getting to know you and the rest of the DG Family. Semper Fi
Well I first wrote 97. I guess 'm questioning if I'll hit that century mark or not. Figure I'll still look fairly handsome, but maybe a little funny-looking; ugh...a bit'o hair coming from the ears, but that's what a trimmer's for...I'll feel lively though I'll move slower, feel young though I will look old, and I intend on being as positive as Dean is. I'm still gonna want to be outdoors when I can; boogey-boarding would still be fun but might kill me (which is why I only added 6 more years!)
I cannot wait to until my success story begins, but I intend on it beginning now.
I think of what Dean asked us to do in one of the Set For Life training videos: write down why you deserve this success. I think the message in this blog falls right in line with how I answered. You know, we all deserve it. We do. We have the guts and the desire to try. We deserve it because everyone deserves to live life, not suffer through an existence.

Doing the same
Doing the same thing day after day is getting me nowhere, so that's why I'm watching and learning. Enjoy your vacation. Our vacation is in 18 days!

Unable to listen to the videos
I can't seem to get the videos to play..what could be the problem?
Reminder
Always "smell the roses" - It's good to be reminded to remember this saying. I have it on a post-it, taped to my bathroom mirror - it works
Thanks Dean
