Your so right Dean when it comes to the question of luck...its a crap shoot when you depend on luck to get you through life!
I can't no I won't believe that we're left to some mystical fate of the universe....I know life is what we can make it to be. Yes sometimes life can kick us hard to the curb...and leave us down, but
never out of the game if we pick ourselves up and go on!! Your weekly wisdom's are so inspiring and always lift me up and rekindle my self will to
forge ahead toward real success. Yes my aim for this year ahead is to make things happen for good.

Hey Dean

So lookin forward to the New Year I am Starting with my mentor on Thursday and i could not be more excited. I a also enrolled in your Diamond Advanced Educational program and can't wait to get my first deal under my belt. I don't need luck i am getting an education and will be putting it into real life applications so that my girls will have the life i want to be able to give them. I am currently working on makin a buyers list anyone with any ideas or wisdom i have a desire to learn it all and i am not afraid to ask for help. Thanks for the inspiration Dean and keep the weekly wisdom coming they are always great info and wisdom.

It IS an insult to be told you are lucky! People who say that obviously do not know how much work went into the success that they are calling lucky.

You are not lucky, you are an inspiration. I never even considered the possibility of luck playing a part in anyone's success. Not for me, not for you and not for anyone else. I always considered this as a choice. I chose to be here and to continue to be here. Everyday it is my choice to work hard at becoming successful or not. It is not fate, destiny or luck it is a choice.

I want to wish everyone a happy, prosperous and an amazing year ahead. I know you want to make 2013 the best year of our entire lives, but I just want it better than 2012. I am going to choose to make every year better than the previous and I hope everyone else does as well.

Well i am lucky...I am lucky that I saw what was there and even tho others told me I was dumb for trying to catch that rabbit after chasing so many others i was lucky enough to not hear their words. If that is luck than I have tons...who wants some....I just sent in my video that shows just how lucky I really am to be able to help others do what I have and am doing...Luck you say..blessed I say..NOW GO GET SOME

I read an REI book recently by "Fixer" Jay D. who said, (I'm paraphrasing) "When I quit my job to go into real estate investing full time, my coworkers all said I was crazy or was having a "midlife crisis". Now that I'm successful, they have decided that I'm "lucky"!
Ain't it the truth! Seems to be the dismissal of the unsuccessful to call the successful "lucky"! I hope they do call me lucky: I'll wear that label like a badge! Thanks Dean. Sincerely, -Tom N.

Thanks Dean. I can relate to what you are saying 100%.

We can control what luck bring us through hard work, dedication, consistency, persistency, focus, etc. You have always said this and live by these words.

I shall control my own destiny in 2013 by working my tail off to do whatever is necessary of me. I will give 150% effort to achieve the unobtainable. Yes, words are cheap. However, don't stand too close or one may get a snoot full of dust and smoke.

It's my time as well as everyone elses to make our dreams a reality.

We all need to get off our duffs and make it happen and I feel like this message was meant for me! For to long, I have had one excuse after another as to why I can't take that first step which has caused me to nothing. This year it's massive action. This year I need a coach! This year I will do deals!

This year I'm going to have a lot of "luck" with all the hours I've put in the previously that are going to come together to be the Luckiest year so far.

I'm so blessed to have this site to keep me headed in the right direction. There's always just the right word of encouragement or a tidbit to help overcome an obstacle.

Hard work, and faith in my abilities and God's guidance are getting me to my goals this year.

I laughed at how that description of the hard times describes my life so closely. I am ready to break free, I want this to be my year-lucky #13! I want to continue to learn by reading and listening, and to use my knowledge I paid hard earned money for to be the key to unlock my prison cell of despair. I also like the references to this "family". How true that this adopted family can be the support that your blood family may not and all of us can use extra people in our life to care for and watch out for us with the best motives at heart. So here's to keeping the villain at bay-let's get started!

I have to say first that we are all lucky that we have crossed each other's paths on this site and in the network of friends that you have built.

John and I have and do work hard. We overcome obstacles still...that's life right?

We are also grateful for our hard work paying off. We believe that mindset and attitude is so important. This site and your blogs help to reinforce that, and I know it's what keeps us going still.

Dean you hit on everything today, no bad or good luck for me! I will make this my best year yet. The power of the spoken word is so important. I can totally agree with what you are saying, when you have worked so hard to get were you are today. For someone to say you are lucky, makes it seem like you did not put any effort in what you did to get were you are. I think sometimes people just do not know what to say. Wow this is probably one of my most favorite weekly wisdoms yet! I hate when people talk about luck also! In my mind luck does not really exist. If it does it just doesn't last, thats why those who get things by so called "luck" usually don't keep what they got. To be even more honest I believe luck is a form of witchcraft. But anyway I heard someone say one time that they believe in one type of luck and that is L.U.C.K=Laboring Under Correct Knowledge.

Dear Dean, Well after readind some of the students comments it sounds as thuogh each and everyone of the agree as do I. We need to make our own GOOD FORTUNE. Thanks for your inspiration.

Thanks Dean, this wisdom came at a very important moment in my life. I felt the pressure of not being lucky this Christmas Day, more than ever. Because on that day my ex-husband passed away. Even though I was estranged from him, it still touched me deeply to hear about his suffering and ultimately passing away on Christmas Day. Especially because it hit our daughter really hard at a time when she also just lost her job, and just lost her home (taken back by the city she lives in), and now having lost her father on top of that. I felt extremely unlucky that I could not be with her (in Europe where she lives) to comfort her. Today is her father's funeral, and I can't be there. I do feel lucky that she has her half siblings with her and her dad's family to support her. But all of this will drive me more to make my business a successful one, so that the next time one of my relatives or friends in Europe passes away - I will have the money to travel there and pay my respects. I feel positive about that. So thanks again for the reminder of "how lucky" we are, as long as we don't give up, and don't give in.

Thanks Dean for the great encouragement to set 2013 off. I agree with you that luck has nothing to do with it. All of the things you stated: hard work, determination, knowing your reason why and whew overcoming fear.

Our fortune is that you have continued to give us these golden nuggets of wisdom which will propel us into action.

Is it true that you can't flip properties while going through divorce? That is my hold up at this time. I am so thankful for your daily wisdom. I am soaking it up like a sponge.

How would I find another student in the Ohio area who is having some success in this program, that would be willing to either partner up,or possibly spend a few mins on the phone to give me some advice on what is working for them ??? I have tried many strategies, and don't seem to be getting the results I'm wanting !!!
Anyone that could help me out there ????
