Smile and save a life

armendariz5's picture

It only takes a couple of seconds to look at someone in the eyes and give them a smile.
Do something special for someone that's in more need than you are,
And don't expect anything back.

Here is my philosophy

Dean,
Here is my philosophy.

Always kiss your children goodnight, even if they're already asleep.

Thanks,
Richard and Dot Percival

Thanks for all you do.

Thanks Dean, apology not needed but accepted anyway. I am looking forward to any and all of the new tools, ideas and education you graciously share with us from the kindness of your heart.

As for your philosophies there is one that I can see you follow but didn't list.

"Lead by example."

This one is self explanatory. You show this in your explanation of your philosophies as well as in all of your teachings. You state that you wouldn't share and teach us if you didn't believe in it and do it yourself.

The other one that I learned not too long ago but it stuck with me came from Joe Jurek in one of his videos:

"You have to do different to be different."

I take this one to mean that if you don't like something, then you are the one who has to change to be able to change what you don't like.

I hope you enjoy these personal philosophies from me.
Amanda

Thanks Dean

Thanks for all the wisdom you have given us .The one thing I would add is Be Positive no matter whats happening. Being positive or having positive thoughts shapes and molds your outcome.

This is what a tell my childrens

I love my life, I love my self everything it's all well

Great Philosophies --Dean

You always have great things going on in your brain all the time. I really do not know how you sleep. Your brain works overtime.

I always live by this one thing in life.'Treat others as you want to be treated....

Another one I live by is this....

'Help a stranger in some small way every day.'
If only a smile..an act of kindness. Buy a homeless person a sandwich and bottle water. Something in some way, will go a long way in life.

This are my philosophies in life. Dianav

One more....

EXCELLENCE;
Some excel because they are destined to, most excel because they are determined to.

Add on to the list

If you always do what you've always done, then you will always get what you've always gotten.

Your the best

Treat others how you would like to be treated.

Great List Dean!

Thank you for you sharing what works for you! Your children are fortunate to you have as a dad!

Here are some that I like:

1. When in doubt, just take the next small step.

2. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up.

3. Don't expect to see a change if you don't make one.

Here is another great philosophy which could be added to the list

'"always think like a millionaire in everything you do"

And "Avoid complaining"

Deans philosophies

Dean, your list was awesome! In this life I have learned to listen carefully to what others share about their own trials & how they overcame them or not. 1) There is wisdom in a multitude of council. 2) Love your neighbor as yourself. 3) You cant out give The Giver! All of these have come from the Bible. I know that when my friends & loved one show up for my funeral, I pray that what will be said is that "He was a man of integrity that set an awesome example of integrity & gave of himself to others unselfishly" thanks for everything you share unselfishly Dean! You are a great example to a multitude of us!

Great Video Dean. Thank you VERY much for your inspiration...

Philosophy:

Always do your VERY best for yourself, not for other people. That way YOU will ALWAYS be proud of what you have accomplished.

Cool stuff Dean

This is my first time to ever listen to one of your videos or visit the site and I have been a member for years. Something just made watch the video and I'm so glad I did. Dean your positive display and awesome words really helped me. Today I turned 46 and was just feeling really down. Your words were great and a huge help to me. Thanks

During life's journey always build "assets" and avoid "liabilities" at all cost.

Every day make a resolution as to what fault you are going to work on or what good thing you will practice - and at the end of the day examine how well or how poorly you kept your resolution and decide what you can do to do better.

When you are stuck, ask God for help.

Philosophies

Not sure you were headed this way but to me this is an important one: Always take care of yourself - eating correctly, getting enough sleep, exercising properly and daily - so that you can help others. Also, treat all others, including animals, as you want to be treated.

Addition to deans list

Always treat others how you would want others to treat you.

Another addition to the list

A few days ago in England a young man called Stephen Sutton lost his long battle with cancer. He was 19 years old. When he was diagnosed with this illness and realised that his life would be cut drastically short, he decided that he had to make the most of every day. He decided to start a collection for the Teenage Cancer Trust in the hope that he could raise £10,000 before he died to help those left behind. At the time of his death 5 days ago the collection stood at £3,400,000. This will make an enormous difference to young people who find themselves in the same situation as Stephen. What a wonderful legacy for an exceptional human being. The words he left behind: "Live each day to the full, for life is short".
God be with you Stephen

Dean's List

A couple of quick one's I would add that are in keeping with the ones you posted:

Do not expect people to be something they are not, learn to accept them for who they are.

Happiness is a choice and nobody but yourself is responsible for it.

Here are some more

1. Try to make someone laugh or smile everyday.

2. Open the door for someone to your senior everyday.

3. Open an automatic door for someone and say I'll get that for you to get them to smile.

4. Always try to have a sense of humor.
