Thanks for updating us on the server issues. My few adds would be: 1) alway leave a place better than you found it. 2) everyone is your friend you just have not meet them yet. 3) treat others as you want to be treated. 4) you create your own happiness.

We got Blink from the library and have been listen to the audio, it's a great book thank you!

Make it a great week!

Thom

You are awesome Dean

You exercise such diligence with your children and believe me it will pay off. Great apology and example of facing conflicts head on. I like to steer clear of conflict but I am finding that is not always a good thing to do. It is necessary sometimes in order to grow. Philosophies that I live by: We always have choices to make so we need to consider carefully the consequences and ask ourselves if we can live with and accept the outcome. Also, Live by the Golden Rule "Do unto others as you would have others do unto you". That also requires consideration. Honor your Father and Mother even if you are unhappy with them and estranged from them. This to me means living your life with respect for yourself and others and strive to be the best person you can possibly be. Try to set an example for others that might help them correct some of their own behaviors after seeing how you handle things. Someone is always watching even when you are unaware. Always remember that love and kindness conquers all and you are responsible for your own actions and not the actions of others. The best way to develop character is by following the content of the greatest success book ever written - the Holy Bible. Have a great week everybody.

My main philosophy

That is really a cool list I really like it.
Here is my add on to the list.

Always focus on the here and now it seems to get you
were you need to go.

From the Bible what Jesus Christ said.
God is a spirit and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

Great message Dean

My addition is:

"Don't sweat the petty things, and vice-verse.

Two that spark my mind.

adam23's picture

I know you only said one Dean but couldnt help but add these.

"Whether you think you can or think you cannot, you're right."

or

"You only live once, but if you live it right, once is enough."

Awesome Dean

I would add, when you borrow something return it in equal or better condition, Never, Say Never. Never Judge a Book by it's cover. In the words of Yoda, "Try Not, You Must Do" sorry paraphrased that one. God gave us to ears and one mouth so we would listen twice as much as we speak. Be excited for other people's successes. Love your family chose your friends.

FYI: I found my true why, had to go down 12 Levels, but I found it and it's a Turbo Charger for my desire. Yes, as Carol Stinson stated, "It has to bring you to tears," and it does. It's my family, but now it is internalized and I have to properties under contract, working on my third, and the Buyers List is coming together. Dean you really do care and I want to thank you for all you do and have done for me and my family

Great topic. I have five if I may:

femailceo's picture

1) Life has no remote; you have to get up and change it yourself! Unknown

2) Look for opportunities to leave the world a
better place.

3) Learn by doing.

4) Realize that there are many different paths to success!

5) Whether you think you can or you think you can't; you are right! Henry Ford

you are the real deal!

I have always been impressed and inspired by you, but you have taken it five notches higher!
You are apologizing for a favor you are doing us and for something that is free? You are the best! Brother Dean you are the best!

1 you the best

You have to keep moving

Anomic's picture

You have to keep moving towards where you want to be no matter what's in front of you.

Be accountable for your actions even when things go wrong.

Care more about others than they care about you.

Embrace Change

In the words of Gandhi "You must be the change you wish to see in the world." Embrace change and criticism don't fear it. Lets make some progress this week!

Here is my addition:

Stop feeding the negative dog!

If you read "The Energy Bus" by Jon Gordon you know he shares a simple story about a man who travels to the village to speak to the wise man. He says to the wise man, “I feel like there are two dogs inside me. One dog is positive, loving, kind and optimistic and then I have this fearful, pessimistic, angry and negative dog and they fight all the time. I don’t know who is going to win.” The wise man thinks for a moment and responds, “I know who is going to win. The one you feed the most. So feed the positive dog.”

Funny thing is I was telling this story to my daughters who are 16 and 17... thinking they weren't listening to me anyway on the drive home. Then a couple of weeks later my oldest daughter comes over telling me a story about passing an exam in school she had previously failed. When I asked her what she did differently this time, she said... "I stopped feeding the negative dog!" I just grinned from ear to ear and told her just how proud she had made me.

I love the philosophies, I will absolutely use some of these on the drive back home. Keep talking to your kids... they're are listening even when you think they're not.

Graziosi philosophy

I like the Graziosi philosophy and all of the comments from the many people who have contributed.

I get a weekly email from the Napoleon Hill Foundation. The director of the foundation is a lady named Judy Williamson. She will discuss a portion of Dr. Hill's work in detail. She signs off with this: Be your very best always.

I'm paraphrasing a bit, but Kristin did a Daily Wisdom on IE after this year's the EDGE in which part of what she said is: What you focus on is where your energy goes.

When I was teaching school, I taught the ages of your children. I know that the wisdom from Kristin would be a very difficult concept to teach a five year old and a seven year old, but she definitely made an impact on me.

Thanks, Dean. This was a fun exercise for me.

Great stuff!

I would add, "Never, ever give up!" Similar to your finishing what you started, but not quite.

Another Awesome Weekly Dean!

Thank you for sharing with us your Philosophies, which encourages us to think of more inspirational thoughts to live by.

I will add to be courageous in everything we do in life.

"Courage is the most imprtant of all virtues because without courage, you can't practice any oter virtue consistently" by Maya Angelou

Thank you Dean!

Another good philosophy for your list

You can have anything you want in life
If you just help enough other people get what they want.........

taken from the teachings of the late Zig Ziglar

Universal truths

Just like I tell my math students: The way to improve at anything is Hard work and practice.

Server and philosophies

Glad the servers are getting the needed attention.

Philosphies are great, mine is simply create a habit because actions speak louder than words.

Graziosi Philosophies

Hi Dean,

Thank you very much for sharing with us your philosophies.

What is important to me is: " ACCOUNTABILITY " If you say that you are going to do call, you do it. If not , tell the person in advance that you won' t be able to do it, because it shows that you respect the person.

the second is : " INTEGRITY " always pays off.

Thanks again.

Philosophies

marak's picture

I have to attribute these to Amy Pearson at www.LiveBrazen.com:

I will never, ever reject myself first, out of fear of being rejected.

And, just for good measure:

I will never sacrifice me for a false sense of belonging.

Love your list, Dean, and I will add your philosophies to my list.

Graziosi Philosophies

Hi Dean,

Being in IT, I would add:

1. Work smarter, not harder. (May seem contradicting to #8 but this supplements it to have increased efficiency, and somehow related to the 3rd to the last),

2. Learn from your mistakes and successes of yourself and others.

3. Learn 2 major lessons today, and
Learn 3 minor lessons today.

Thanks for sharing your philosophies.

Life's Philosophies

Mossyoak's picture

Integrity is the one point that I would like to add. If we have integrity in everything we do, we rest better at night knowing that the action, decision, etc. was done with integrity. Integrity is something you cannot buy; but, must be acquired if we are truly to succeed in life. Integrity becomes a part of your very existence. When my time on this earth is done, if it be said he lived his life with integrity I fill that I will have accomplished one of the most important goals in life.

Quotes to ponder on...

lynn hoff's picture

Hi Dean,

Love what your doing as always.

A quote:
Every time you put a new thought into action you change the universe.

Some people will always throw stones in your path. it depends on what you make with them, Walls or Bridges?
You are the architect of your life.

Just remember, the Eiffel Tower was built one tiny bolt at a time!

Lynn

ps..this would be great….my Samsung Galaxy Note ll phone was just shattered (glass) by an infant while I was standing on line..the baby kept grabbing my long hair. As I turned to see what was going on, with my phone close to the side of my face…as quickly as I turned the baby grab my phone …and dropped it. I couldn't ask the baby to pay up. :--)

It is going to cost me $600. for retail price to replace it since my contract is not up..and in no condition to trade in they said.
They got me good. So Dean's phone would be a heaven sent and I will hold (the phone) to my heart. :--)))))
Have a great day!

Graziosi Philosophies

Great post! It is wonderful what you are doing with your children and giving them principals to live by. Three that I like are:

1. Always treat others as they would like to be treated.

2. You are not your circumstances. Happiness is a choice and you can always choose to be happy regardless of what is happening.

3. Integrity is what you do when no one else is looking.

Awesome List!

My Addition:
Find things that Truly make you Happy and do them often!!!
