Gain the EDGE 2013 – A movie of your life, starring YOU as a real estate investor!

Thank you so much for inspiring all of us at the EDGE! There were so many nuggets of awesomeness that I pulled from your presentation! Most notably for me was the simple statement: MAKE THE COMMITMENT. Before the event, I was just starting to ramp (5 deals since Dec) but I wasn't giving even 75%. And I certainly wasn't leveraging my network or the time of others. The past 2 days I've been more focused and implementing various strategies to keep on track and KNOCK THIS OUT OF THE PARK, one step at a time.

I also really liked the comment that taxes should be less than 3 months rent. This is great feedback. I'm investing in Indianapolis right now where yearly taxes are a few hundred bucks (as you know!) but we're expanding into South Florida where taxes are much higher (The taxes on our little townhome are around $3k!). This little bit of insight from you is really going to be key as we continue to grow our business.

Your a great coach, investor and motivator to everyone. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and I cannot agree with you more about your post here. If we don't do anything with our knowledge its like wasted talent. We all have it in us to be amazing and its our success that frightens us the most. Once we get over our fears and the fear of others judging us will we truly be free. I like when you tell everyone "who cares" this is the best advice, who cares if people say "no" to us we need to keep moving to do what we need in our lives. Lets set higher standards for ourselves this year.

I've been reading and watching your posts along the way here and I love your analogies of the life of a REI, and oh how they are true, I've experienced many of those and thank you for sharing that with us good to know I'm not alone in my journey and my encounters!

I had to stop and think about the last movie I did see and it was Michael Jackson's "This is it". Very appropriate. I sat thru two showings to soak it all in. For me it was a case study and I still believe in my heart that he orchestrated his own physician assisted end. He hand picked/selected the Doctor. All in all it was a very sad story of his life from beginning to end.

No, I was working on my own movie and I painted bottoms to cardboard boxes that I got from Costco "yellow". The boxes were as close as I could get to 18"x24" and then used a box cutter to take the sides off. I have been working non-stop since I arrived back home and no tv, especially no news. I have got to make myself one of the best wholesalers out there and I have a long ways to go to that end. We all have to start somewhere.
