HI,MY NAME IS ERSIE. MY HUSBAND AND I STUMBLED IN ON ONE OF THE EVENTS...."THE INSIDER EDGE EVENT" IN OCTOBER. A YOUNG MAN THERE GAVE US A TWIN PACK DVD SET. IMMEDIATELY, I POPPED IT IN THE PLAYER WHEN I GOT HOME...I WAS GLUED TO THE THING...IT HAD THE BOOKS, "BE A REAL ESTATE MILLIONAIRE", AND "PROFIT FROM REAL ESTATE RIGHT NOW", IN THE CASE. I HAVE TO SAY,- SENSE YOU DON'T KNOW ME- THIS IS FOR ME- I DO BELIEVE IT WILL WORK. SO, WITH THAT BEING SAID-HERE IT IS IN A NUT SHELL....I FINISHED THE MILLIONAIRE BOOK IN TWO DAYS, AND GOT THREE QUARTERS THRU THE PROFITS BOOK IN ANOTHER COUPLE OF DAYS....I TOOK SOME TIME TO TRY A FEW THINGS IN IT- LIKE GREG MURPHY'S HANGING UP THE BUYER/CASHBUYER AND SELLER SIGNS....NOT EVEN OUT THE DOOR WHERE I HUNG THEM UNTIL I GOT UP TO 5 BUYERS...WENT STRAIGHT HOME--AND BEFORE I GOT IN THE DOOR, I HAD 15 CALLS TO RETURN...WITHIN 3 DAYS, I HAD 27 (UNQUALIFIED,MAYBE- BUT,NONE THE LESS,I SAW IT AS SOME KIND OF PROGRESS). CONTACTED EVERYONE WHO CALLED ME, DROVE MY AREA FOR ANYTHING THAT LOOKED EMPTY,DESERTED,ABANDONED,, AND FORECLOSED ON, WENT IN TO TALK TO MY TITLE OFFICE/OWNER, (KNOWN HIM FOR FOR 37 YEARS), CALLED SEVERAL FSBO'S, RENT TO OWNS, FOR RENTS, SELL W/O TO BUY- SOME FROM THE NEWSPAPER---THAT WAS THE FIRST WEEK. THE SECOND WEEK, I CONTACTED 36 LAWYERS ON TUESDAY, 18 ON WEDNESDAY, AND 7 ON THURSDAY. I FOUND A FSBO THAT I ACTUALLY LOOKED AT TWICE- WAS GOING TO DO AN ASSIGNMENT WITH HIM-- EVEN HAD AN INVESTOR.....THEN THE BOTTOM FELL OUT.....I GOT THE NEWS MY SISTER WAS FADING OUT...I HAD TO CALL THE INVESTOR AND THE SELLER TO TELL THEM I COULDN'T MEET THAT NIGHT---SHE WASN'T EXPECTED TO LIVE THRU THE NIGHT--I HAD TO GO SEE HER-----THE INVESTOR WAS A VERY COLD MAN---TOLD ME, " MY SISTER WAS NOT HIS PROBLEM, AND IF I DIDN'T MEET WITH HIM THAT NIGHT TO FORGET IT". I WENT TO SEE HER, AND SHE DID PASS AWAY VERY EARLY THE NEXT MORNING. IT'S BEEN VERY HARD..BUT AFTER THE FIRST OF THE YEAR, I PLAN ON GOING ON WITH WHAT I STARTED TO DO.
THERE WAS A REALTOR THAT I ADMIRED VERY MUCH- HER NAME JOAN VAN TRUMP-NOW DECEASED- EVERY ONCE IN AWHILE, SHE WOULD TELL ME ABOUT THIS HOUSE OR THAT HOUSE, AND WHAT WAS GOING ON WITH IT---I WAS 12- DO U GET IT. I WAS OFFERED A PIECE OF COMMERCIAL PROPERTY WHEN I WAS 16--I'M GLAD I HAD A FRIEND AT THE TITLE COMPANY- HE ADVISED ME TO LEAVE IT BE- I HAVE GOOD INSIGHT BECAUSE THE COST TO REMOVE THE GAS PUMPS(TANKS) UNDER THE GROUND WOULD HAVE COST ME OVER $200,000.

WHAT I'M GETTING AT IS THIS----I'VE LIVED AROUND THIS AREA FOR ABOUT 47 YEARS....REAL ESTATE IS A BIG PART OF ME. I KNOW HOW TO DO COMPS.,RESEARCH THE COURTHOUSE, NOT AFRAID OF THE PHONE, AND I HAVE GONE TO SOMEONE'S DOOR TO ASK QUESTIONS ABOUT A NEIGHBORING HOUSE. I'VE MADE CALLS TO DIFFERENT BANKS AND CONTACTED BANKERS TO FIND WHAT BANKS MIGHT WANT TO WORK WITH ME .....I KNOW IT SOUNDS LIKE I'M ALL OVER THE PLACE, BUT I'M NOT---IT'S MORE ORGANIZED THAN IT SOUNDS HERE.

****HOWEVER, I AM NOT VERY SKILLED WITH THE COMPUTER, AS OF YET- I'M WORKING ON THAT. YOU ARE MORE THAN WELCOME TO E-MAIL ME.

Shoot, I wish I lived in that area too. I could really use some help, but I have made a new years resolution that I will put everything I have into this REI. I know I can do it.. I got sidetracked for a little while.. a long while actually.. and started feeling like what's the use, but I didn't give it my all...and it wasn't because everyone on here did not encourage me and answer my stupid questions. I am ready now... I have never been a quitter and I'm not starting now. 2012 has to be a good year, because 2011 was my worst year ever. I am losing my home, I have no job and no insurance. I have to make it work. It's people like you who inspire us all to give it our best. I know that I can do anything I set my mind to do, but nobody is going to put a stick of dynamite under me to get me moving. I have to provide my own dynamite.. and I am starting this month. I have the 30 Days book and only read a little in it. I will finish it and do more studying and turn off the blessed tv... and continue what I started last spring.. Thanks again for helping and giving back... you people in Kansas city area are quite lucky I must say.

Happy New Year everyone! I swore I posted yesterday but dont see it here so will risk repeating myself! Randy and I thank everyone for participating in this thread, and we will be making a decision real soon! Randy - who NEVER stops - EVER!! - was actually forced to rest when his entire family had the flu over the holidays. But he is back and running full steam ahead So we will be making our decision soon and look forward to really rockin out here in KC in 2012!

Good luck Randy and Laura!! KC should be rocking with you two knocking down doors and whoever the lucky person is that you choose.
Whoever you are I will tell you that they are two great people but they are all business and don't take excuses/sh_t. So be prepared to rock and make your dreams come true.

I've been checking this post everyday to see if anything had been updated yet. Glad to hear that Randy's family is doing better. I'm sure you guys are loving it here in KC right now, NO SNOW YET YAY!!!!
I'm definitely prepared to work in order to make dreams come true. Success is nothing more than small completed tasks. "GIVE UP" isn't even in my vocabulary. Time will tell with the results, and until then i'll be patiently waiting, but ready to rock!!! SUCCESS, HERE I COME!!!

So who did you pick, haven't seen any more posts, not even on who got it. Was it put on another post. I'm sure they were quite happy just wondering who did win it.

It's been a couple weeks now, and there still hasn't been any new post. Only thing I can assume is that the opportunity was cancelled. I'm still keeping hope alive, and doing what I've bee doing because I know success is right around the corner. I can smell it!!!

First I would like to apologize for being so late in response to this post. A Great friend of mine gave me a call today to let me know all about it. As soon as I got off the phone with her I jumped right on and I am posting now. I have actually been inactive on the site for the past 3 months due to my pregnancy and having a baby. She was Just born Dec 13th:)

Why you should pick me?
1. I currently live in Independence MO. I am very local and cover the Kansas City metro area. I have done 3 deals here in Jackson county. One in Grandview, one in Independence, and one in Kansas City.

2. I have no fear. I make phone calls to any and all persons needed. I put out signs and talk to complete strangers for networking. As a matter of fact when I first started deans program I found your number on a certain site and called to talk to you:) I also spoke with you at the edge event:)

3. I am great at following direction and taking critizim ( not sure how to spell that).The best path is to follow those that already know the way and to do that you have to LISTEN, and TAKE ACTION!

4. I want to move forward and I mean FAST FORWARD. We have done 3 deals but I want to step it up. The best way to do that is to follow someone that knows the way and do what they are doing. Both you and Laura are not only doing this but you are super exceeding. You both are where I would like to be. Who better to follow than those who are working in my backyard?

5. I have a HUGE WHY for doing this. My motivation is my family. I want a better life for all of us. Things in life I want to be able to provide for them like health insurance, cloths for the winter, healthier food, a safe place to live in a great neighborhood, that and so much more. I am HIGHLY MOTIVATED. I will not and can not let anything stop me from pushing forward.

6. Let me show you what I can do and how I can be an assest for the both of you for the long haul. I not only want to be your intern but I want to create a long lasting relationship with the both of you that will last for years to come.

Also I remember at the edge, Carol made a comment about why get rich slowly when you can do the same quickly. I want to follow you and copy you:) I also want to fast track my way. Like Matt Larson said in the RBBP 100k is very do able and so is a Million. My first milestone is 100k. Everybody has been wondering where you were! You have hung in there for a very long time now, doing whatever it takes!

I know you have posted making call after call, offer after offer. You have driven your city putting up bandit signs into the wee hours and you know how to do your due diligence.

Somehow, even with a tight budget you have managed to get so many of Dean's tools and you made it to The Edge!
