As we figure it out, find a neat trick or helpful tool we could share that with each other here.
If we are struggling with something, chances are maybe someone has figured that out, and can tell us how.
We have the training videos and webinars, but this gives us a 24/7 platform to work and share with each other in the DG SFL family.

the same thing, I thought of sending a letter or postcard, but A lot of them have multiple addresses. Some of the ones that show a trust or company I was wondering if there is a way to look them up and get their business address or something to that effect.

I am trying to look up the business names and get a email or address the ones with the actual name are had to find. Hopefully there is some way around this.

I think I found a way to get the properties with actual names address then you can send them a letter.
Go to propertyshark.com you can look up info about the property and you can look it up by owners name. But you have to signup for the free account try it out its pretty cool.

We live in a very remote area of Kansas. There are loads of deals here and we have been turning over a few properties. There doesn't seem to be any data for our area in the Lead Pipe or in Total View. I tried the matching thingee to no avail. Seems like most of the automation doesn't help me here. Should I just move on to a bigger area? Or is anyone else successful in a remote area? I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed, but not depressed yet. Cher
My area isn't supported by property shark or any of the stuff we have in SFL. Too remote...but I get offered property every week. I just cant connect with buyers and have no reliable way of getting comps.

I to did not have much success with my cash buyer counties once I set them up and after numerous emails back and forth with support to reset my counties I was sent this email:
Due to customer complaints in terms of the accuracy and quantity of cash buyer leads from our current provider, we have terminated the business relationship with that company this week and we are actively pursuing a superior alternative to provide our you with the best, most up to date information on cash buyers in your selected counties.
I don't have a firm timeline for when a new relationship will be established but they indicated it would likely be at least 2 weeks. We are doing everything in our power to expedite this but don't want to sacrifice lead quality for expediency as that would defeat the purpose of this effort.
You can still access leads if you set the time period from January through June of this year as we had saved those and they are still in the system. For now this is the only info that you can generate with the lead pipes until we have completed transferring to the other provider.

Hope this is somewhat encouraging for your situation as I am hoping this new company they get will turn out different results. Only time will tell, stay optimistic and keep learning everything you can that SFL has to offer.

What you may not realize is the site can provide cash buyers , but the admin of SFL buys the info for us at a discount. Admin correct me if I am wrong. Given they are working all over the country and in countless counties it takes some time.
I know that it is frustrating if you live in a tiny area (like Me) especially when the market is still so shaky. If this is your case think out of the box- maybe you go vital or advertise the Greg Murphy way. Regardless of weather or not you receive cash buyers there is so much to the system that will save you hours. Besides it comes from Dean, so talk to him.
PS always keep checking back with cash buyers you never know.

If anyone is having trouble getting into the classroom, or crossroad. On my computer it asks me if I only want to veiw the content that was delivered securely. If i say yes it tells me the page has been canceled and connot be veiwed. If I say no then it lets me in.
My lead generation site doesnt produce any leads. any thought on why?
asks if I want the secure info too, I always just click no. If you change your securities settings it will probably fix that. Mine does it on lots of sites.

I have a hard time importing excel spreadheet in CSV format to my prospects list. I watched the video and followed the wizard steps but the system "successfully" uploaded 0 records.
Please provide instructions if you had success importing data to SFL system.

I have also had some slow responses to questions about the SFL system. I had a few responses come back quick at first, but I'm getting crickets at the moment. I'm telling myself that they just have so many questions right now that they are a bit overwhelmed. Hopefully they can get more staff on it. Regardless, I'm still thrilled to be here and can't wait to make that first deal!
I did not have the issue you had with the lead pipes, but posts 18 and 19 have comments about it. Good luck!

I think the opportunity is closed in terms of getting a great deal on it. DG is going to be offering it to the public, but not at the $1500 price. But not to despair, this site and TotalView Real Estate site have so much to offer. You WILL still succeed!

I got my page set up the night of the orientation call. I have found it on the web, but as I am still learning some of the more critical bits of investing, I have not advertised the site yet. I'm getting there, though! Got the ball rolling and gotta work really hard on the networking and team building in the next tow weeks to hopefully gain the confidence that I have the necessary people in place to make a deal go smoothly.

I believe that Dean mentioned in an early webinar that we would get two core sites, but Josh Tobias mentioned in his training webinar that we would be set up with two squeeze pages. In any event, my account seems to be set up to include one squeeze page. At this point I don't understand the difference between core sites and squeeze pages, but I'm curious what everyone else's account has.

I see people on my list that are purchasing alot of properties there are no email addresses just addresses for different properties they have purchased any tips on how to contact them.

I think we have to just send out letters. Snail mail does not seem to fit with all the automation we're being spoiled with, but the mail still works, so I think sending letter either introducing yourself as an investor or trying to market yourself and direct them to your squeeze page may be the way to go. Just remember that you can use these tools to look at properties all over the country. It just takes that extra effort to build your team in another state (A daunting task, but we know you can do it!)

I believe there was a post about that pretty early on in this forum. Try to scan through the first two pages of posts. I think it may have been a setting issue with your web browser (I could be wrong).

Have you advertised the web page using flyers, business cards, signs, etc? If not, it is definitely the way to go from all I have read! I still haven't done it myself.

Hello to all my fellow DG & SFL extended family!
My name is Ralph Brescia. I've been a DG member since 4/09, am a Success Academy student and recent proud owner of the SFL program.
I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who's posted and shared with a particular "thank you" to Scott & Susan. Although I read many posts from various sites, I'm not one to participate but felt moved to do so after reading so many heartfelt comments.
It's both amazing and humbling at the same time to see that many of us share the same concerns and insecurites. That being said, we've all made a significant comittment in time & money. We are on one of the few paths that will lead us to financial independence.

Here you go:
Start > Import Data
Navigate to the folder containing the CSV file and select it
Click Next
Specify Import Type: Prospects > Next
Specify Target Fields: On the left are the column headers found in your CSV file. The drop-down fields on the right are the fields that will be filled by information in your CSV file. For example, on the left will be a header like “Last Name” and you would want to select the “Owner Info – Owner 1 Last Name” option from the drop-down field. Do this until you have incorporated as much of the data as possible from your CSV file. (There is also an option to save your choices as a template so you can automate the process next time!).
Click Next
Confirm Fields: Review this table and be sure the data are in the proper place.
Click Finish
Hopefully, this will get you through the process!

Hi, I'm not quite sure where to find how many, if any,free websites and or templates come with the Set For Life System. I'm not at all computer friendly and I'm WAY behind probably almost all of the others here. I'm taking page after page of notes on the training videos, almost word for word so I can read them and perform just about every task described. I know the words are in English, but the computer language is foreign to me. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time and help.

I am a student of the success academy, and last week just rec'd the Set For Life. I am not at all computer savvy and watched 2 webinars, and because my computer is so small couldn't read a lot of the things they were showing, and they said it is all being put on the classroom. Hoping to find a cheap monitor with a better screen.
I have not been on anything other than watching the dvd's so far, are you saying that some of these things are already being removed from the classroom?
Also have another question.
I want to ask about LLC's, and I click on the word contribute, put in my questions and it says I must click on a title for forum, but none on their list is what it is about. How do people title their question on the top of this site that says Forum topics?
Can anyone explain how I do this. Would appreciate any help.

I recieved my EDGE 2010 packet the end of last week, and am looking foward to watching it. My question is in regard to the weekly videos for the SFL system. Are they all available in our classroom because I have missed being online when they have been scheduled for the live classes. Haven't checked my SFL classroom yet , but thought I'd ask here real quick.
Also I had the same issue with the buyers list , no email addresses, so I guess it's snail mail to them for starters.
Also I am excited about making this program work, I just have not had enough time to spend working on it, being a truck driver doesn't help, 16 hr work days aren't cutting it. I want out of the trucking life REAL ESTATE IS MY ONLY HOPE FOR ESCAPE........... MY GOAL DECEMBER 2010 to be out of the industry, so I have to get to work . any suggestions for how to do this will be appreciated... PM me anytime, I promise I will get back to you.
