About a month ago I answered this question to someone that was looking to compare SFL to PMI as they were going to make a decision on what was best for their needs. I hope this is along the lines of what you may be looking for, good luck.

Since then I realized that SFL provides a lot more than just what I mentioned about it. Clicking on the SFL tab on the bottom left is an Information button, which gives links to a heck of a lot of resources I recently discovered. It covers so many strategies, not only marketing, but basically every step of the way. There's even a 30 day step-by-step calendar that plans out what to do each day to make that deal in 30 days (I seriously need to get around to it, but I'm trying to still finish up PMI). But not to say that to write off PMI by any means, I think they are both excellent resources! I still feel so new, trying to understand it all myself, hehe. Just over a month in so far, with zero experience in REI up until now, but I've got to say that you guys help motivate me, and I hope to do the same. So thank you so much DG Family, you guys are wonderful!

My suggestion would be the Success Academy to start out. You will not only gain amazing Real Estate Investing skills but you will also have access to LIVE mentors and coaches that will help you along the way. Once you have the grounding from the Success Academy the other programs will make more sense and be more effective in your Real Estate Investing career.

Thanks for the boost! But for everyone that is not sure which system is best.
I did the PMI, and when I bought the SFL, and even just watching the DVDs', I was amazed at what I learned. Then I went back to my PMI and re did some of those lessons, things just fell into place big time!! Now I go back and forth and this weekend will work just on the webinars from SFL, thanks to Carols posts that I read.
The posts make a huge difference, now that I finally fiqured it out.
I am totally out of unemployment and small pension is gone, and I have all of Deans stuff coming due in the next week. But I am not worried about it, because it made me get moving!!!
I cannot sit long for more than 20 mins without severe pain in my low back, so when I can't work on the computer, I go for a short hike, or I flop on the bed and put in a DVD and listen again to one of EDGE 2010 and I can't thank Dean and everyone enough this knowledge is awesome! I don't care what the reasons are, everyone can do this, and this morning I had to see the neurologist, for results on me tests and she offered again medications and injections, and again I refused.
She grabbed my hands and laughed and said you're an odd girl, most people beg for more meds, but you just keep doing more things, keep going and you will be back on horse soon. She has a good sense of humor and I know if I need her, she is there. Point is, I really hurt and do take mild meds, but I have a strong faith, and have books also from Joel Osteen, and when the pain is so bad, I hike!! Favorite vs. Isiah 40;31 But they that wait upon the Lord will mount up with wings as eagles.
So for all who say they can't do this alone, well ask the Lord to help you do it. He loves it when we come to Him.

First off,
Nice to meet/speak to you. My son is Autistic so i understand the
mom working at home, my wife has to stay home not only because of him
and therapies but also because she has MS, and we may have twins on the
way, i know i know like i didnt have enough against me lol. So thank
you for the inspiration and your story, I too have had a rough life and
been down to nothing yet im sorta successful in my own right but not
yet where my passion is which is real estate.

Ok Ok so question is i have found a flaw in the system....I have
had the same two counties which is normal BUT... why in the world
does it not update the list. I have people from Sept and the same
486 buyers coming up through my lead pipes? I have emailed them
to which the response has been working on a new lead generating
company so i figured id ask you, to maybe ask Dean to get a rush
on it. Its almost Nov and still the same list!

I was under the impression that the address was the house they
bought and id have to go to the counties website to get their
real address, i remember matt also saying something to this
affect in the Edge10 presentation he did! So am i right
or wrong?

I did the the tip with the buyers list and sure enough boom
there it was all their addresses. You just ramped my biz and
even more so saved me two months of time looking at county
records, Go Carol Go!

I posted this in the beginning of the thread. but here it is again in case you missed it...

CHECK THIS OUT....

Go to your lead pipes and bring up your cash buyers.
Now put a check mark on "type" at the top left to select them all
Click on "save selected leads"
Now click on rehabbers ( this is where I save them)
Now click "save"

Now go to your buyers tab and click on "Rehabber" Your list should be saved in there.
Click on the property address you want to see and BAM!!!! The buyers address is there for you!

You will see the property address as the name and then below that is the buyers address... HOW"S THAT FOR AWESOME!!!!

No need to search for the buyers address it is already in the SET FOR LIFE SYSTEM!

When you click on the buyer's name in your rehabbers section it will bring up the buyer's mailing address in the address section.

There was a Q&A session this week and they were hoping to have the new company up with a month, I would say by Thanksgiving! Currently they don't have any buyers in my area, so I can't wait to get it going!

Here is an easy analysis:

Set For Life is the car, actually it is like a sports car that can go very fast, so the better your driving skills the faster you can drive!

is there an email program that takes commercial, not private names? the one you recommended in your wholesaling info takes only a person's name, not an LLC. i have a lot of cash buyers on my lead pipes that are llc's. thanks i have sent out some postcards, i'd like to contact the buyers by email. is there an internet program to buy phone #'s - would be good for out of town buyers. again, thank you for taking your valuable time to help everyone.

If you read posts #152/162 above, it will give you as good a description as any. Set For Life (SFL) is an "all in one" REI system designed to automate your business; from A to Z. It was previously offered at a discount, but I think that discount is no longer available.

Thanks for all the time you spend on helping us all. I try to read eveything you offer both on your Virtual Wholesaling website, your input in Dean's books
the dgfamily site and now the SFL info. You are obviously super at Time Management as well as a computer geek (my nemesis). I am rereading Dean's books again and doing the Action Steps after each chapter while trying to find a Rock Star real estate agent willing to work with me. I did a Driving for Dollars experiment here at home and in IL when I went to visit my family up north and was absolutely amazed at the lack of properties for sale either by owner or realtors. Several months before there were lots of signs out,now found only 2 realtor signs and no fsbo's. Tried again when I visited my daughter in Sarasota with the same results. Any idea as to what's happening?

The technical challenges were just too much for me at this time. I plan to get more training in using my computer and try again later.(I'm 82)Just feel I can move ahead faster using the info in the books, carols website etc, But I do regret that decision...I'm absolutely certain the SFL program will be a tremendous help for everyone involved. So don't give up You have Carol to help now and you apparently are all set with a great real estate agent willing to partner with you and learned a few lessons first hand about getting a house under contract etc. so you have come a long way after all. The best way to learn how to do anything is just by taking action, as you have done..so you'll be fine as long as you continue to do so.

The new features in SFL look awesome! I finally have the buyers list names! YEAHHHHH

I put out about 100 flyers for potiential leads/deals today and I'm looking to see what kind of feedback we'll receive, as this is the first step I've taken in this direction. It's exciting, and in the meantime it's back to training and learning all I can from Dean's books, the courses I've bought and the CD/DVDs. Thank you Lord! I feel now more than ever that I really will succeed at this! Praise God!

You said you just exercised your exit clause if you don't find an end buyer, do you send another letter or is it in the contract before it reaches 30 days?

The postcard that Carol refers to is not actually under the "Marketing" tab, but is under the last one on the left "SFL". Click on this and then "Information". Scroll down to "Done For You Marketing" (e-book). You will find a sample of the card she refers to on Pg.10.

Great job on flyers...way to go!! You always have a positive outlook and that means nothing but good results will follow.

I have yet to send out any postcards, etc. as I was waiting on the SFL update for my Lead Pipes. So far, only Renters and Private Lenders are updated. Josh said on the the last webinar that Cash Buyers would be updated, also. As of tonight...notta. Oh well, I'll call them tomorrow.

Yeah the last three weeks I'd been on a marketing campaign (and unfortunately wasn't business related), which was kinda exhausting. After that I attended Dean's Insider Edge when it came to San Antonio last week, and the last 3 days (Fri-Sun) I'd been in the workshop, which was mindblowingly awesome!

I would like to thank you guys for helping out on this thread. I have been super busy and try to make it here when I can and when I do... WALLA!! You guys are on it! It is so awesome to know we can count on each other here in the DG family

I was wondering with the new Lead Pipes Update. Has anyone started to market to the bankruptcy leads?

If so, I am hoping to find an example of a postcard or letter anyone is using or has had success with.

Also, does anyone know if these leads are individuals who have gone through bankruptcy or just filed for it?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I've followed you on the DG site since I read about you in Dean's books, etc. You are such an inspiration to us all. Thank you so much for all of your efforts. I know they are appreciated by countless thousands. And thanks especially for this particular thread on SFL.

After listening to all of the webinars, going through all of the classroom information, etc., it's still a little daunting. It seems like the SFL is really set up for a volume business. Is there something that's written that basically tells a single investor - Now, first, you do this; second, do this; third, do this; all the way through SellPoint? And can it be done effectively without using all of the parts? Having paid $1500 for the system, I'm sure going to learn how to use it the best I can.

I would take it one piece at a time. This system only works, if you work the system. You need buyers & sellers and connect them here. It is possible to only have just buyers or just seller and connect with other members. This is a great way to keep everything in order once you get it set up.
