Hi Dean, you must keep your finger on the pulse of what is going on in your company. I was having a rough time coming off of the holidays, I had some stuff fall through and was feeling depressed about it. The worst part was that it felt like all the great momentum I had been creating just came to a stop. I was to the point where I actually felt embarrassed to call the success academy and get the help I needed. I'm glad I did call, I talked to Sean, he was very reassuring. It was like, here is where you are -and- here is what you can do to get back on track. Then he took his time and answered all my questions, It really helped me get my confidence back. I actively try to think positive and have seen some amazing changes in my life because of it in the last few years, but I guess we all have our triggers that can bring us back to where we don't want to be (slippery slope). Before I get to long with this, what I'm trying to say is it was great to have your team to fall back on. Thanks.

Thanks! DG & Matt

Blank yellow signs and black sharpies for me. Today. peace,

Dean Right On!

That's how it feels when you are trying to ascend out of the bottom of a hole. Sometimes everything problematic come down on all once. I have fight hard to backup and regroup to move around it. I have about 15 assignment offers in through my real estate agent. Also in the process
4 agents quit on me. But thats alright, because I now realize, it's a process that take time to find investor fiendly agents and brokers that are not afraid of our strategies that are outside the box. They must be flexible for outside the box thinking. Frustrated but I'm to stubborn to quit because deep insight I know your system and experiences are valuable, have worked and will work again and again. I've been trying since September of 2010,I run into blocks and challenges, if the storm starts to clear just a little, enought to see a bit of sun light there is always hope and another day.

Thank you Dean for lift

Bandit Signs and Slippery Slopes

Hi Dean,

I will trade you our snow for your sunshine, we missed the ice. Snow is on the way.
Our city doesn't allow bandit signs. Tried to put one out and it was down in two days. I use flyers, business cards, and online ads. A good update though.
Thanks for keeping us on our toes. We were driving for dollars this weekend. Take care. God bless, and have a good week.

Dear Dean, Thanks sooo much for the encouraging words you send out every week. It is easy to get bogged down in the everyday stuff of life! I am very excited about the private money and the deals you will be putting together for us. I do not have the confidence to do my own deals yet, but I am really ready to have a chance to partner with you on deals you have scoped out for us! You and your staff are the BEST!! I KNOW this is the year that I will be able to kiss the JOB bye bye and do real estate deals full time. It is my dream, and this year it is going to happen! It would NOT be happening without the education and support of the Dean family. I am very grateful!

Thanks Dean

Those words reign true. I learned a long time ago, to choose my words carefully and if you don't have anything good to say, then zip it. I realized that I was exactly where I was because of my own negative thoughts that I confessed almost daily. I used to say things like "if it wasn't for bad luck I wouldn't have any luck at all". Those days are far behind me now and even though I went through the worst tragedy in my life last year, losing a grandchild. I have still remained positive that something good will come from losing him. Even though I can't see or understand it now, I know it's true. Every morning I say what I'm grateful for, you never know from one day to the next what will happen. Cherish all the people in your life and confess good things for yourself, it works!

Blessings,
Elena

Totally Awesome Dean!

Thanks so very much for the reminder to think on what I want and not what I don't want. It's easy to fall on the Slippery Slope without someone like yourself to kick us into Right Focus! I must say that everything is not as I would have it right now. But I have so much to look forward too and to be thankful for. I just began two short sale deals this weekend with the potential for so many others. With the help of your Foreclosure Alert tool I realize there are so many potential deals out here.

It's Money Making Time My Friend!

Thanks Again!

Talk Soon!

Positive Blog

Thanks Dean for reminding me of rightside-up thinking again.

I once worked with a guy that was remarkably positive through thick and thin and he made a big impact on a lot of us that worked with him. He was always enthusiastic and upbeat and just a lot of fun to be around. And everyone knew he was different. I asked him how he did it. He said that he really had to work at it! For us though, all we knew about him was his positive energy so I would never have guessed that it wasn't necessarily second nature for him.

Great info as usual!

Thanks,

Roger

Great Blog Dean.

Great topic Dean:
It is so easy to caught up on the roller coaster ride, and then suddenly finding yourself spiraling down into the black hole of the Abyss, if you start buying into all that negetive garbage taking place in the world today." Beleive me.I know what I'm talking about."
I've been on that slippery slope since 2008. It was your late night infomercial that caught my attention, and the message of hope you were trying to get out that made me want to give your book a try.
And ever since then it has been a slippery slope for me brought on by extenuating circumstances I have very little control over. As we move closer to our court hearing, I keep in tune with all the positive feedback I get that you throw out there week after week after week.
And knowing the darkest days of the last few years are about to come to an end, I'm clinging to that message of hope you convey to people like me and am zeroing in on applying all this new found knowledge, like so many of your other successful students have.
But without your constant word of encouragement Dean, I wonder how many of those successful students, would have wound up on that down hill run , like me.

" It is always darkest, just before the dawn."

Dino.

Great Info.!

Great information!

Thanks Dean.

Time to get off the slippery slope and onto solid ground

shinton's picture

The info on bandit signs was encouraging. Mine are almost ready. I am finding there are ways to work around the obstacles of bandit signs.
I also find that the slippery slope has a lot to do with our attitude and once we stand up straight and make a decision that we can do it, the slippery slope isn't so slippery. We need to think about the 'Little Train That Could'. Our kids and grandkids are also watching how we deal with life....let's teach them while we teach ourselves. Thanks again, Dean, for making us think and evaluate where we are.

Keep It Going John!

I love it!!!!! I'm so happy for you dude! I dont know you, but if you are part of DG family, then that is good enough for me! I just wanted to tell you and your wife to keep going!!!!!!! Dont stop! Everything good that has happened and will happen to you guys, you deserve! I'm in Philly! It's rough but when I see stories like yours, I'm inspired again!

Slippery Slope

Never too long brother!!!! I would'nt care if it was an hour!!!! We need you and your positive energy Dean! I believe I can speak for everyone here on that!

Slippery Slope - When hitting bottom the only way is UP

Thank's Dean for your words of encouragment. I only allow myself one hour to let my negative thoughts run on about whatever is bothering me, then move on! There are so many good things in life to be grateful for, why waste the day spinning your wheels? The tip on Bandit signs is great! I always used to see them at certain intersections in town. Not so much anymore. It may be that the person has found another method that works for them, but for me I WILL use them! Still learning so much from everyone on the site and in my classes. Your books came at just the right time. We (my husband and I) were hoping for help and here it is! Thanks again!

I think I found a agent.

Noboby knows who Iam but I wanted to let someone know that I met with my first Real Estate agent today and we talked about what I needed from him and he's all for it.I never thought it would come to this point but Iam so JAZZED, it's hard not to do something that is related to Real Estate right now. By the way I should tell you that I'm 66 years old and breaking the bonds like alot of us have and Iam just GOING FOR IT! Please whoever is reading this don't ever give up on yourself, keep pressing on till you reach all the wishes you deserve . Looks like this is going to be a regular thing for me (BLOGS),as you ncan tell this is my first. Talk to you soon DG family. JohnnyPVAZ

Great Blog....thank you for the mirrow effect reminder...when I take good look what do I really see?

I have notice that when I spend my time looking at me (bills, old debts...etc) sometime the vision is block. But by looking up (being thankfull and gratefull) I can not help but to see that the sky is the limit with endless possibilities!

{I will look to the hills from which cometh my help my help comes from the Lord who has made the heavens and the earth!}

Thank you Dean!

Gratitude

dvisco's picture

Dean - you're the best. Hello fellow DG Family. Dean discussed gratitude. Here's a quick idea I picked up from Success Magazine. Keep a daily list of what you are grateful about that your spouse or significant other does everyday. For instance, for a Valentine's Gift I secretly started this list for my wife. I'm going to hand it to her on the 14th. I suspect she'll be floored. I've found it enlightening. This exercise has two benefits. One, it will let my wife know how much I apprecite her. Two, and more importantly, it reminds me everyday how lucky I am. Once you start tracking this, you'll be amazed at how much you probably take for granted. It's a fantastic exercise. Good luck

I Believe You Have Been Watching Me

Dean, I believe you have be watching me. I have been in the process of putting some ghost ads together. Thanks for saying something about it. I didn't know that I should take them down after a perion of time; however, that's why you call them ghost ads. So, I will be sure to use this technique with ghost ads. I have found out that when I start on an endeavor, I always find a obstacle in the way and I have found that I have to ignore it, go throught it, or around it because that is the test to see if I really want to make it work. People give up, when they come across a challenge. I prefer to fight throught it. It lets me know that it is worth the battle because the greater the challenge comes with a greater reward for the effort. If it was easy, the reward would be small and everyone would be involved in this program.

Thanks,
The Gambler
