GREAT blog! I'm so pumped right now for 2011! I got my EDGE 2011 scholarship entry in and I'm hoping to be one of the two that gets to come see you and all the other great DG students that I sooo look up to!! I just lost my part time job that I just started three weeks ago (not by anything I did, just so you know lol), but I look at this as an excellent opportunity to spend all of my time on REI now! No negative slippery slope for this girl Hope to see you soon!

You are absolutely amazing. Your message this week really hit the nail on the head. I don't know about anyone else, but you hit me right between the eyes. The homes are here, the market is right, I know what to do, I am just sitting around feeling sorry for myself because of some personal things that have happened to me recently. Thank you for that golden nugget about the yellow bandit signs because in my city where I live those bandit signs are not allowed, BUT on the other hand if I place them on a Friday night and pick them up on a Sunday night the city won't bother me about them because they do not work on weekends

Hello Dean,

Being relatively new to your site, I did not realize the power of your blog until today.

After catching up on blog entry #97 - 114, I also backtracked to the beginning and watched entry #1 - 24 today. I really liked the 25-to-1 idea of writing to a few on the MLS listing.

Your blog is a great combination of advise and tips, coupled with encouraging words and suggestions on how to get your mindset open to being successful.

I plan on watching blog entry #25 - 96 over the weekend, so I do not miss anything. And I hope to finish your book in the next week or so and get going on your newer book, Profit from Real Estate Right Now and hope to do a wholesale deal in the next 60 days from now.

Any words of advise for someone getting ready to do real estate deals in a high-end market like the San Francisco Bay Area, please pass it on to a very green (and hope to get greener) investor.

Dean you’re right. The Slippery Slopes leads to self sabotage. If you think about something long and strong enough, that is what will happen. I was on those slopes for a while just last week. I am thinking positively and looking for ways to build my business, from where I am. Thinking positive is the way.

Thank you Dean for your positive video blogs. Hopefully as I keep watching them, they will eventually overcome the walls to success I seem to keep erected as self sabotage. I am going to an event that I hope is really yours called "Private Sales: The Insider's Edge" event in Long Beach, CA. I have a wild hope that you will be there and I can actually meet you. As noted on an earlier poste, not wanting to miss anything I am spending this week reading your Be a RE Millionaire and watching ALL of youre earlier video blogs.

This morning, I have watched blog #25 - 40. (Loved #29 by the way.) But, now, I am a little bit sad, as I did miss something .... I missed The Blitz Creed!!! (I love how you are getting to your competitors by making the members of your "DG family" that much more successful!!! Great idea!)

If you do The Blitz again and/or are looking for VERY motivated students in the future .... Pick me, pick me!!!

Thanks for all of the GREAT motivation and encouraging words! It's so helpful and if is very obvious that you do remember how scary it was to get started. Thanks for your blogs Dean, Yes is a good idea to use a bandit sign but I am not ready to do it, But I need do make some of a (POSITIVE)-cash flow, like you promises us about private money. Oh Yes, Tomorrow maybe set a new record of snowstorm for Chicago? They said maybe 24"+ of snows! In 1967 I was 5 yr olds have 23" of snowstorm, 1979 18.8 inches of snowstorm, and 1999 have 21.6 inches of snowstorm. I was there all of the snowstorm records, Maybe new record for 2011 snowstorm?

Dean that is so true about bandit signs the are a gold mine. My partner and I have been putting out a few signs in key traffic areas and brotha they rock! We haven't tried the plain yellow, we've done the plain white one's with the black sharpie. The yellow one's seem like they would be more attracting, like bee's to bright colors lol. So if anyone on DG hasn't tried bandit signs or maybe your a little scared,well don't be they work for real. Now about the slippery slope let me just say you have to becareful cause once you start its hard to recover. So if anyone is going through some tough times right now please continue to believe and have unwavering faith. Know that weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning! God bless !

Yes, the slippery slope is brutal. I live on that slope daily! Under the guise of preparedness, over analysis is what emerges, shortly followed by paralysis. But, I seem to do exactly what you advised and one by one I slowly chip away at the roadblocks. It's just that it takes so damn long...... and another day or three gets behind me. But, You simply have to keep on truckin to that next Monday blog and I'm up and going again, Thanks for that Dean! Talk to you soon.

Wow, Dean you continue to amaze me with your encouragement and great tips to apply to reach success in real estate. I will certainly use the bandit signs you say definitely work, when I start to take action in real estate.
If ever I needed to hear your slippery slope analogy, it is NOW. I have several issues going on in my life at present that have me on an emotional roller coaster and even though that's going on, I managed to stay focused reading your book, Profit From Real Estate Right Now! I read it cover to cover and just finished it today. Wow, again! I've been keeping up with watching your blogs every week and checking in to your DG website to see what's going on and the more I do that, the more I start to think, "hey, maybe I can really do this." I have from time to time slipped on that slope a little, but God led me to your book and getting to know you and your strategies to make money in real estate and slowly instead of slipping on the slope of despair and fear and anxiety, the knowledge and encouragement through your blogs and books and what others say on your website is giving me wings like Eagles. I had one of those slippery slope days yesterday. Melt down city. Well, this morning I got in the car and headed to my rehab property and it was so weird. The zippy do dah song started playing in my head. I was heading to MY rehab property. The slippery slope turned into Here's my next "Plateau of Success" and I was filled with gratitude. Thanks for the that infectious positive attitude.
