Dean, wow! I have always wondered what happens to those families from Extreme Home Makeover after the year of "free" is over. How many places get sold or end up in foreclosure. Hopefully that's NOT the case, but also there sometimes is a stigma, jealousy, etc. But THIS is an amazing idea!! Not only will the family that's chosen be able to sustain themselves (and attain whatever material wealth they want on their own), they'll also be able to HELP their communtiy that much more!!! SOOOO EXCITING!! As always, thank you for thinking with your heart, as well as your head! Can't WAIT to see the story unfold!!!!

Dean. Your proposed program sounds Great! I am going to pray for its success. I was once asked my a financial advisor, why I wanted to save money. My answer, so that I can help people in need. Well this is a great idea but I cannot recomend anyone as I have lost 6 jobs in the last year, 6 rental properties and a business all because of a partner.
I had to live in a garage for sometime and finally gave up and a friend of mine moved me back home and is leting me live here while spend every cent I get to buy gas for tempeary dead end jobs.
If I can find someone I will be more than glad to let you know but everyone here is working and I am to overqualified for things in this econmey.

i think that this new venture is a welcomed effort to help any one that for lack of financial stability that truly desires to become able to establish thierself financially,and to assist them in thier quest to be able to enhance the livelihood of thier family and others.this is i think a honest,and realistic attempt to help,and i truly would welcome the opprotunity to participate.

As always, it's a pleasure to watch your weekly pep talks & you're truly doing a great thing by helping the less fortunate like me.

And I easily that profile you're looking for.

I'm still fighting for my son back 5 yrs. now in divorce court WITHOUT any lawyer, from a very vindictive white ex-husband w/ a lawyer from the start. But now I'm contesting that.

No job for 1+ yr. & not paid unemployment insurance because I was fired from the job, because I dared complained against a white racist boss. I was fired for an issue common to many, but I was the only fired punished/fired.

And now I don't have a job again because my boss was probably offended when I dared ask my boss' wife (she does payrolls) why they deducted a lot from my last paycheck. Before that, my senior co-worker/mentor told me that the boss wants me to stay in the job, even though I'm not able to sell much yet.

It's a very difficult job, where I outlasted 5/6 other women (on my 3rd wk) before me who were either fired also or unhappy so they quit.

Anyway, I surely fit the profile you want, but per my DNA, I don't want to be in a reality show. It's bad enough to suffer, but to show that suffering to the whole world -- would break my spirit further. Too much humiliation.

I could use the help, but not the humiliation.

Any chance you can help me behind the scenes, but I can go on your show, AFTER you've helped me?

Don't worry, I won't run away because I will sign everything with you.

But by then, at least I'm earning money already & I feel comfortable about myself so I would be able to talk about it on your show WITHOUT breaking down.

But to show my breakdown while I'm down & out would break my spirit!

If you don't find anybody else, please consider my proposition.

And I already have a licence for my non-profit, a legal aid: IT'S A MATTER OF JUSTICE, INC.. A low-cost or free legal help (if qualified) in divorce for poor women in Sacramento, CA.

$ 30/hr. for those who can afford to help pay for those who cannot. And that's doable because regularly it's $ 150/200+/hr.. w/ regular law firms.

It's my vision/dream job: to help others while making a decent living.

And we're going to be unique, because much/all the existing legal aids here in Sacramento, CA only give band-aid legal help in divorce. They only help you fill out divorce forms.

And that's not enough, because to fight a divorce in court takes more than mere filling out forms. You have to know the laws, the strategies. That's why the lawyers are so expensive.

And without a lawyer, they really eat you alive in the courts. A broken, dysfunctional legal system more often than not prejudiced against the poor.

My son was taken away from me under false charges but because I can't afford a good lawyer to defend me, they ate me alive in the courts.

This case is so twisted that I don't have any criminal/police records against me & it's actually my husband who has an official police record of kidnapping against him when he kidnapped our son away from me in Texas, but I'm the one being accused of kidnapping?

And how can you have a case of child abuse when there's no physical evidence to support it?

But because I can't afford a good lawyer to defend me, so they railroaded me bigtime.

But I haven't lost faith. I know in my heart God is still helping me, but it's taking 5 yrs. now, because it's NEVER easy fighting an oppressive, dysfunctional legal system prejudiced against the poor.

Thus my conviction for this legal aid to help others. And my sad story is not unique, because there are thousands like me: poor women who lost custody of their children not due to any wrongdoing, just that they couldn't afford a good lawyer like me.

If I have the resources to research each of those cases, you wouldn't be reading this right now, cause I could have easily paid for a lawyer 5 yrs. ago.

Anyway, if you don't find anyone else, please consider me.

Ya-know Dean, I just about fell out of chair when I sat down and saw this blog.
As one who needs all the help I can get, I cannot tell how how energized I became when I realized I might be able to have a chance at receiving the help that I need in finally completing my first deal.
I said to myself, Dec - 31st of last year that, 2011 is going to be a turn around year, and with help like this being offered, it seems to be an unfullfilled fantasy that could be coming true.

Dean this is a very awesome and wonderful thing to do for a family who just need a helping hand to get back on track and not only for just that moment but forever !

can you email me back please,I wished I had the funds to help her, I don't think she would come on face book and book her neck on the line and just BS people,so that is why I think she is desperate, I don't know how you can check to be sure she is telling the truth but I dont' think a respectable woman would just all of a sudden ask for this kind of help on a forum.

I have a family that truly needed help from this hard times who are struggling financially. I could get the application to print and if I type the information on it, it doesn't work either. If there's any way I could get the application, fill it out and send it in, I would appreciate it very much. I also believe this family might be the one you are looking for to assist them in their struggle and it would be a miracle to make their burden lighten. That's my goal to lighten someone else burden. Have been having troubles and going downhill every since the early ninties, although I did not realize how bad it was or how bad things would turn out over the last twenty years. If there is something your program can do for not only myself, but also my family it certainly would be a remarkable thing. Seems like every thing I've done just ends up making life worse.

I think what you have come with is a great idear and i would love to see it work for all our student and many more others such as myself.
