I could not agree more with your observations Dean... people never do EXACTLY .. what you tell them no matter what it may get them. That would include me. But the problem is I have not done anything yet. I suffer from the paralysis by over analysis. I am from Central Florida, The Space coast. Maybe you have seen a couple of my postings or read my profile. That might explain more about me. I need to exactly what you have outlined and do it exactly but another problem I suffer from is a severe lack of funds , Yes ... even funds to do what you have perscribed. I realize that some DGers are around here and may be able to help me. All I am looking to do is just get my foot up with a couple of assignment contracts. I particularly like the way Carol Stinsone handled it. Right now I know just to get that start I desperatly need I should do this and do it right I work 5 days a week during prime hours at a major retailer. At times I fool myself into thinking that will pay the bills but it never does, something always comes up. I Coulds not afford to get in on The blueprint program and I can not even get enough money together to get the 30 day book .. I do follow DG.com and I have gotten the Rite now and be a millionaire book and read them both twice. I have already gotten and then lost my Real estate license in Florida.So I know all that I am supposed to do and how to do it. I can see it but I just keep putting it off. This advice is what I need now. I just hope I can follow thru at this time.Thanks Dean I needed that kick

Well, here comes true confession. I guess I haven't been careful enough to even learn all the details about what you tell us to do to be successful. I promise to go back and pay attention to details and copy your success plan exactly as you lay it out. I'm sure you will be hearing from me about how it works out.

hey thanks for this weeks blog,I think a big problem a lot of people have with your system,plan/blueprint is not your system,but their own ,in particular getting out of their own way and listening and trusting you following what you say to do, and keeping faith in themselves,and not listening to all the naysayers out their which in turn lets in the negativity.So please just keep doing what you do,and thank you for everything.

Dean, You hit it right where it shakes the bone. We do, as humans tend to sort of revise the ideas of others. Thinking that we are doing the right thing.

Attention to the details! There are alot of details for sure and I am actively trying to soak them all up. Just yesterday I ordered my yellow magnetic vehicle signs with black lettering so at least some of the time I am listening.

Bought the wrong bandit signs - used my own money - didn't focus on buyers list (that's the big one)

What's so cool is that if we did mess up we all get a do-over. I've started mine. We have two cash solds lists. Letters out (oops was supposed to be post cards - will I learn?) to all on one list. Getting buyer names for the other list. Yellow poster board ordered. I will hand write what you said and put them where you said and when they call I will tell them what you said.

We did make great progress on our own but it's like cutting a new path through the jungle when there is one already cut three feet away.

Now that you know we didn't follow your directions can you tell us why we didn't?

For some time now we have struggled with not understanding why things are happening the ways we wanted. I believe we are some of those folks that have strayed for the the recipe. I have bandits signs.. gues what color??? WHITE!!!!! We have to get back on track. Dean you are correct you have been doing this for some time and we should be better students and stay on track. Thank you

...that when you follow a recipe, you get the same results as the person who wrote the recipe? Why would you think differently from that?
I followed the recipe and I got results I expected nothing less. Don't get me wrong, I haven't gotten my first paycheck but I got the phone to ring, people I didn't know to show me their homes and potential deals to figure out how to make. That's what your recipe was supposed to do wasn't it?

I just want to say that If anyone is new to investing and is afraid to do the bandit sign thing like I was in the beginning, set your fears aside and PUT THEM OUT! I did EXACTLY what I learned from Dean, and I got 25 blank yellow plastic 18x24 signs, and I wrote "I BUY HOUSES, ANY CONDITION" and I put them out all over my town and by the busiest intersections, and I literally get an average of 5 calls a day, some days as many as 8 calls and some days maybe only 3, but the average is 5, and that's how its been since the day I put them out, and I put them out 6 weeks ago, so I've gotten a ton of calls from somewhat motivated sellers to EXTREMELY motivated sellers..Matt Larson said in the "EDGE 2010" video, that some of his best deals have been from deals he got from bandit signs where the houses were owned free and clear, and bandit signs is the BEST way to get those leads of free and clear houses. I can agree 100% because I get about 5 calls a week from sellers who own their house free and clear, which gives me plenty of "wiggle room" to make a profit..So for anyone who is new to this and wants to start TODAY, get Dean's book "30 Days To Real Estate Cash" and do EXACTLY what the book says and you WILL SUCCEED, PERIOD!! So that's something I just wanted to share with the DG family!! Thanks for everything Dean

It's more about how REAL you are and not so much what you say because anyone can say the things you say. Not everyone is genuine and I can tell that you ARE!! yes i am also guilty of not following the EXACT recipe sometimes and it ALWAYS comes back to ...MAN I NEED TO FOLLOW THE BASICS !!! even just a tad off the recipe and we can get dragged through the mud!!! although SOMETIMES we stumble upon a new idea....then share it but if its NOT WORKING you hit the nail on the head ....DO WHAT YOU TEACH because we know IT WORKS....THE PROOF IS IN OUR LAP !!!! thanks for bring us back !!

I am a big an of following the blueprint exactly, and I'm getting results. I haven't even done that much yet, but I am following the 30 Day Quick Cash formula. We sent out 7 letters EXACTLY per the script in the book to find buyers. We got 2 solid buyers out of only 7 letters, a GREAT ROI. My husband is a real estate appraiser, and was able to do his own MLS searches using the 3 point "distressed" criteria Dean talks about, vacant, as is, price reduction. We have found 3 possibilities for the one buyer, he may take all of them. He is a rehabber and just wanted a bird dog, which we are totally fine with. The thing is, yes, my husband already knew how to do MLS searches; but without a blueprint we would not have found buyers, nor would we have known what criteria to subject the searches to... you don't know, what you don't know. Mentorship is huge, and so is a recipe. My husband and I have 11+ years in Network Marketing that taught us the value of being duplicatable, doing the same thing, and following the blue print to get results. It works in anything and everything; including real estate. You can build a house with blueprints, but if you don't follow them.. guess what? Your house won't be the one in the blueprint. Thanks Dean, for marketing expertise, successful mentorship from you and the students... thanks guys, and a willingness to share it! Way to go you guys who are cooking with the recipe! If not, no worries, the recipe is still there.. just get cooking and make your dreams come true!

Now I'm starting to understand that perspective a little better as to why it just doesn't work when people aren't implementing your strategies the right way. I know for myself, that even though I haven't really implemented much, I know I'm doing something right by taking baby steps and doing things a little different just to get results and have that get me one step closer to making it all happen. If I take your knowledge right down to the bone, and implenment those tips and strategies with action, I know I will achieve the results I'm looking for and I won't second guess myself for settle or less than my best.
