Weekly Wisdom and New Orleans event

Thanks Dean,

Your weekly wisdom provides me with nuggets of wisdom and help pump me up. Also, attended the New Orleans event, learned a bit, pumped up, but overall really just did not hit the mark. Matt, you shared some great experiences, but the continual jumping in the book and rabbit trails to lead to another sales pitch, were a bit too much. Take care and thanks for the web site!

There are undeniable truths

steinway024's picture

The universe is run by a set of immovable truths. You and Tony have hit upon one, but from slightly different angles. Reality, as you say, is just our perception. Rewrite the story you tell yourself. I like it!
BTW, you can take things to far, in my opinion. Like you will NEVER see me walking across coals.

Limitless beliefs

Thank you Dean for sharing this, I couldn't agree more. You make life what you want out of it. Thank God everyday for the trials He puts us through because it happens for reasons beyond our understandings. At a point in my life I never understood why this and that could happen to me, what did I do to deserve this.... well I turned that around and thanked God for putting me through the situations because I now know how to handle certain situations that come in my life and people who come in my life. When I turned my attitude around and got rid of my "stinking linking" as Jen Gray would say, life turned completely around for me.

Limitless beliefs and body language

Hey Dean!

Thanks for another great weekly wisdom! I was fortunate to have listened to Tony Robbins tapes interviewing successful people with my dad on the drive to high school (45 minute each way). One of the lessons that Tony taught was for someone to try and smile, stand up straight and feel bad...its impossible, your body posture and how you carry yourself really determines your inside feelings, along with your thoughts and what you believe!

I recently read Totally Fulfilled last month (thanks to Gena's book club in IE, thanks Gena!) What an amazing book! So much good information and advise on how to take control of your life and establish your core attributes to become a totally fulfilled person.

Thanks Dean for all you do to help us be the best we can for ourselves and our family/friends!

The DG family is AWESOME!!
Make it a great week everyone!
Thom

I opted out

A bit over two years ago I was working in an evironment that was poisonous to people with a belief that much can be accomplished when we work together. I had worked there for 25 years but suddenly couldn't make myself get up and go to work. My health was being seriously effected, physically and mentally but there was no way out. Single mom, no college degree, no money in the bank, too young to retire and make enough money to keep my house, and was no longer capable of doing my job. It had to be me failing....right?

I had a friend who was considering an early retirement, and although we were both in education, I could see that she had options out there to supplement her reduced pension. Imagine my surprise when she said I had options too, that I just hadn't looked for them. Huh, what options?

I couldn't think of anything but retiring after she said that - whether I had everything figured out or not. I simply could not continue to try to control what I had no control over - my job environment. What I could control was myself. I would figure out something to bring in more money or I'd learn to live on what the pension was. My two kids supported my decision. So off to retirement I went!

Last October my youngest son came to his brother and I with a proposal to go to one of Dean's events and see what options we might all have to work together towards something that we couldn't even imagine was possible. And here we are. Got our second deal locked up today - just a few weeks after our first deal!

The more I look for my options, the more I believe in myself, the fewer limitations I see. We all have options! It's just unfortunate that it may take someone else to see we have them, and fortunate that Dean can show us how to get there. Real estate investor? Me? Really? Yes!!! Always believe options are there and look for them!

What's your story?

"The only thing stopping you from getting what you want is the story you're telling yourself about why you can't get it."

The knowledge Gap- "I don't know how to grow"

Hi Dean

The power of positive thinking really works. You ARE the thoughts you feed yourself. Always look at the bright side of bad situations. It is a mindset that you must acquire.

Thanks as always!

Michael

Thanks SOOO Much!!

Thanks Dean for this weekly wisdom. I have been stuggling with negativity myself here recently and this brought me back to realty and the Power of Positive Thinking!! Keeping that mindset and not getting discouraged is vital no matter what you do on life or what comes along to slow you down!

Thank You So Much

Dean, ever since I can remember I've always been my own worst enemy, beating myself up, focusing on failures, not on current or previous successes. Often it is I who lacks the faith, hoping and believing in someone's plan for success, fear of not getting the desired and often needed results. I move ahead with hope & faith to succeed for me and my family. Real Estate Investing is the path I have chosen. This weekly wisdom touched my heart very much and for that I thank you. I will keep the faith.

Thank You Dean!
I needed this motivation today. I've begun to look forward to your Weekly Wisdom posts. In addition, the Dean Family adds their post of uplifting words. I am so thankful I for this site. My efforts aren't moving me in the direction I want as fast as want, so I come up with reasons to procrastinate. Your Weekly Wisdoms help me to make another step. And then I say "Take one more step". "Do one more thing in direct relationship to Real Estate work." I have an accountability person, but I also need a coach. That's what Weekly Wisdom is for me, a coach. "Give me one more." And one day I'll get to join the Elite Club!

The Power with in

Dean, just like you said, Anthony Robbins changed that lady's mind from crying to a smile the rest of the day.

When you you put your mind to it! That today is going to be a better day, and every day you make your mind tell yourself, that today is going to be better than yesterday, how can't you not move forward in your life and Real estate.

Richard

The power to think good thoughts is so powerfull that if people understood it the world would be such a great place everywhere. Nothing can slow you down people other than your own thoughts...Live life to the fullest...NOW GO GET SOME

weekly wisdom

I watch all the weekly wisdoms but generally don't comment, even though they are amazing. Thanks for keeping us uplifted and feeding those positive messages to us. We are like others, broke and trying to figure out how to make this go with no money. But we just need to look at the positive and keep trying. Thanks for all you do.

Unleash the power.

Another great weekly wisdom. Thanks Dean for sharing that. Believe we can do it!!

limited becomes limitless

Deanstruction's picture

Thanks, Dean
You spoke to me when you talked about limited beliefs. I tried, while listening to this blog a second time, to change a thought that had been holding me back, and I actually succeeded!! I came up with the seed of an idea that will move me ahead. And, even if that particular plan doesn't work, I can still move forward with other plans because now I know about changing limiting beliefs into limitless beliefs

Great Insight!

Dean,

Watching this weeks blog is a reminder to keep on going...through struggles, trials and yes, that laziness that creeps in.

If I tell myself I can do it! Then I will. If I give up and say I can't...then I won't.

Thanks for the inspiration & your sincerity.

Staying positive

The world is a cruel place and it doesnt take much to beat you down. That is when u have to find the positive that gets u back up on your feet and kickin butt. I dont know exactly what is holding me back but I am getting ready to try to change it with the help of deans success academy. I have to have that extra push Im hopin to get from the academy. I pray that is what puts me over the top and in the game, the only game I want to be in. God Bless all.

Good Advice

I needed to here this message today. I was feeling down about this deal I am working on. I need to see the glass half full. Have a bless day!!!
