Has Dean Forgotten His Roots?

Why on God's green earth would one man spend $25K for his own education, Yearly only to deliver it right back to us? His DG FAMILY. He could be at home with his Biological family, you think??

If I could do that, I would only wish others would appreciate what I have sacrificied. This man has his own family, why does he help all of us? Ask ourselves.

Me myself, I've only been family for several months, I like Matt entered into the Coaching Program backed out, got back in, and now I am pounding every day striving for my first deal. I am not mobile, I attend our MNREIA, I catch buses back and forth.

I missed the last bus, had to walk 2hrs, 45mins. to get back home. Yes, my feet felt the pain. I'm determined to succeed. I bought Bandit Signs, walked to several intersections around my Big city, stuck them into the ground on Friday, walked around town, picked them back up Sunday evening.

Mind you, I am still walking doing all of this with no vehicle. Got my Biz cards, walked around passing them out telling everyone that I AM A REAL ESTATE INVESTOR, word of mouth, networking, posting ghost ads, made my own flyers on my laptop, and if Dean can sacrifice for me than I can sacrifice for me too.

With all of this information at hand here, there is no excuse not to share what we don't know. Someone will have the answer. Just ask, I can proudly say that I have personally met some amazing people on this site, like Rina, Tonia, Nate DaveD, James only to name a few Dgers I met here and at our MNREIA. Mpls, MN

Also, I'd like to thank Rina for the DG group hug we all shared going to our MNREIA and for inviting me to her Facebook page. Where am I going with my journey? what I'm saying is that if we put our heads together and stop trying to keep up with the Jones's WE CAN DO THIS! So, DON'T YOU DARE GIVE UP ON ME!(Dean)

I need to respond to this post...."Has Dean Forgotten His Roots ".....From what I see the answer is NO......every week watching the Wisdom Videos.....We see how much he cares.....and I am sure everyday he asks himself....." What can I do today to help all my DG family members?..........

So when someone states " Dean wants money for everything".....Stop, and consider the costs, and overhead it takes to produce all this " GOOD STUFF " from the making of the DVD's, the Books, Edge Kits...... to the rent / mortgage on the studio he does the Weekly Wisdom Videos from, and what about the cost of his Live Events every year, to the payroll for his DG staff, not to mention his camera crew and equipment, also let's not forget the commercials, the seminars, all these things cost money to make.....He just held a drawing and gave away a Rental Property...not the first time he did that...what about Dean's valuable time?.......

Hello Dean,

I want to hear what you have to say about yourself. People are defending you and you have yet to say anything. I sometimes feel the same way. Other days I don't. Depends. What do have to say to that? I went to the meeting here in Pittsburgh and you said I didn't attend. I have sent replies to each of the emails and have yet to hear anything from you. Feel me in please.

For anyone who is new to this site, or has been here for a while, and has seen ANY of the many weekly wisdom videos that Dean has made, should be able to see from THAT alone, that Dean is as honest as they come. I did my first deal with the help of his "30 Days to Real Estate Cash" book, and by being motivated like CRAZY, just from Deans weekly wisdom videos and some of the training calls I've heard here, especially the Matt Larson one. People always want something for free, because they want handouts. If you want something in life, you have to go GET IT, PERIOD!!! Dean had to bust his BUTT to get to where he is today, so why should he give anything away free, to most people who will take what he gives and not even apply it anyways. The things he puts together take countless hours to produce I'm sure, so why should he do it for free??? People ask for an "investment" on your part by asking you for money, because THAT alone determines your motivation. If you pay money for something, you have "skin in the game" and are more likely to USE the training, instead of putting it on the shelf to collect dust because it was free. I have gave info to people who wanted my knowledge, then they did absolutely NOTHING with it, and now I don't waste my time,unless they are gonna pay me,PERIOD! Plus, Dean realizes that not everyone can afford certain things, so he made easier payment plans etc, for those people. And if you STILL cant afford it, you just don't want it bad enough, because I sure as hell would do whatever it takes to get out of the rat race that I was in for so long, and FIND a way to get the money for it. KNOWLEDGE + ACTION = RESULTS..Dean has the knowledge, and we need to take ACTION to get the results. They won't come to us while we are sitting on the couch wasting time watching our favorite t.v shows...All I'm saying is this, I have never met Dean, yet, and I would have loved to go to an EDGE event, and maybe next year I will, but from what I DO know about him, is that he came up from almost NOTHING, to where he is today not by getting handouts or free-bees, but by taking ACTION and being RELENTLESS in his own persuit of financial freedom, and I can tell he would truly be happy, knowing that we as his "students" and members of this site, became financially free as well, by doing what he tells us to do, and taking MASSIVE ACTION!!! Anyone who bashes Dean on this site or any site, didn't do what he said, so they got NO RESULTS, or they half-assed it and gave up, PERRIOD! So, Dean, if your reading this, keep bringing us videos and anything else you have up your sleeve, because WE need that from you to keep pressing on, and I look forward to your weekly wisdom videos!!! It's easy to get frustrated due to circumstances in your life. Especially when you come across so many opportunities that you feel can propel your success.

I've been there many times before. I have been off and on with the DG family since 5/2010. I've been part of the success academy and now I'm part of I.E and I have wanted to purchase every program in between. Even tho I've had all this knowledge, all this time I still have not done my first deal or done anything to move me forward with my investing future. That was until recently when I connected with another DG'er here on this site and I've been active on the I.E site since I joined. My progress is slow, but it is progress.

The point I'm trying to get to is if you have done nothing with the information you have, what is going to change when you have unlimited information?

If you have already put yourself in the position of the "Victim" because you can't find a way to fund what you desire, no amount of books on how to invest and strategies is going to change that mindset. Altho the coaching offered with the program would work wonders. You are able to find the same kind of support system on this site for free. If you are willing to put the time, energy and effort to make those connections.

I'm not sure on what your believes are. I believe that Jesus Christ is my lord and savior. I wake up every morning and pray for guidance and for strength to move forward in this new journey. Even tho I can't see the path before me I know that he can.

And as far as the comments about that Dean "has forgotten his roots?". I think that is something that you can never forget. Dean achieved his goals with hard work and dealing with everyone against him. No support. No guidance. No hand outs. Then he creates this company to help other archive the same success. When he could have easily continued to make his millions and live his life how ever he pleases. He has changed so many people's lives. He has been blessed so he can be a blessing to others.

Don't complain about the miracles you are receiving while asking for another miracle. Be grateful because you have come this far and it's time for you to take the next step. It's difficult and it's something I work on and fight myself with everyday but if your constantly aware of where your thoughts are going you can change them.

If Dean has forgotten his roots, he would have left us out in the cold Loooong ago, as many in sales usually do, they take your money and dont provide ANY backup support whatsoever!

I can see the passion he has every Monday to push us forward and it has never wavered! He does what he does BECAUSE he HASNT Forgotten! So listen and DO!!

Most might know this but...

In his defense, I remember the days when he ran his "Motor Millions" program around '03-'04. He sold that company to a larger one in 2004 I believe and they made significant changes to increase bottom line sales which diminished customer satisfaction and were overloaded with refund requests to the point of going into large debt.
He used personal money to help fix debt filled company and many people were upset because they didn't know what was going on. As I recall, Dean had spent over a MILLION Dollars of his own money paying back people for a product that he was never even paid on to start with.

As for REI, Dean said himself that him and his staff have been contact with LAWSUITS why? Because this site has info for FREE that their companies charge people for and whaa whaa. YET, Dean keeps the site and its content free of charge so new REI hopefulls can learn to make a better way for themselves IF they choose to do so.

I agree I did join the IE & I am giving it all I have but guess what I am still working on my 1st deal but I believe in myself & Dean & I know I am getting my 1st deal soon & this IE is going to pay for itself many times over.

I am tired of making excuses & just dabbling and am treating this like a business. For all of you w/could not take advantage of IE like Karen says dont be discouraged sooo many folks made it without that & you can too it doesnt matter that you didnt get IE or Rock bottom or whatever I got Rock bottom too but languised w/it (my own fault) so what I have found out is HOW BAD DO YOU WANT IT! I WANT IT BAD! I GAVE MYSELF TILL THE END OF OCT TO GET A DEAL GET OFF MY BUTT & MAKE IT HAPPEN SO STAY TUNED & THANK YOU DEAN FOR GIVING OF YOURSELF & EVERYONE ELSE TOO YOU ARE MY FAMILY AS WELL i AM AMPED up right now-& we have to have a higher level of intensity!

If you go to any other other person. Any other real estate website. A lot of what I read the core elements are the same. The difference With Dean is just from the site you have people who like Dean have done it and are willing to share the knowledge as well, and because of his background know what it was like while he was there. The "BIGGEST" difference is that he is also the biggest cheer leader of any one I have see. If you get his emails of the daily blog and lock back you'll see they are all about us and having the confidence to take the chance. "rah-rah" I stream him on my blue ray player and loop his women's empowerment video's about wholesaling. whit my back to it while I work (my 9-5) I hear it in the background. I watch the testimonials. and every video he is the only person in he is cheering us on. He certainly doesn't have to. I have done involve in wholesaling a property what has held me back is one thing. The contract. I am afraid to put one under contract leaving myself open to lawsuits. I found 2 properties have a small list of possible investors, but the contract is my stumbling block. It is up to me. Dean can only do so much. The rest is up to us. Quote - Its only knowledge if you use it. if you don't its trivia.

Ok so I thought I would throw in my input.

Before I knew who DG was I had been studying REI for about 2 months, but not on a consistent basis, and I could not get organized. It was just like a random interview about multi-family and then an article on self storage , and the some Rich dad, Poor Dad book talking about 1031s when I didn't even know what a HUD-1 was lol. This went on for awhile and I never actually "got started".

Then I went through all of Deans training, from the free event, to the 3K/3 day seminar, to the success academy. Although most of it was review, it was very organized and easy to follow.
Dean has spent a countless amount of resources on designing this course, for those who spend the money, everything is timed perfectly so it keeps you motivated, and on track.

But... Things don't always go as expected. Sometimes the training may not work in your area. I followed everything down to a T. I took two weeks off work just to get a Real Estate Agent on my team. I called every office within a 50 mile radius, and I live in a mid sized city. I followed the instructions, and I drafted a detailed follow up email, sent out about 30 of these and I got one lunch appointment.

The agent and her BIC wanted to charge me a ridiculous retainer fee of sorts and they had a *****ng ridiculous mindset. They believed there was "plenty of business in the area". Can you say limiting belief??? Needless to say I chose not to work with them. Now I have connections ALL over the country to some of the most active investors and I am working on setting up my business systems, whose laughing now? Me.

During this lunch meeting I felt that they had the upperhand b/c of their knowledge of Real Estate Laws, processes, and just general RE knowledge. So to fix this I went to broker pre-licsening. Six weekends, 9-5 Sat/Sun, plus $400 and I was done. This is an absolutely essential step for ALL REI's, and no I AM NOT getting my licence. You do not need a RE Agent for their traditional role. You need a RE Agent for their:
-Knowledge of the local market
-Access to their deals, their firms deals, and finally the MLS.
-Ability to confirm your comps
-To put in offers for you (Simply for efficiency)

Wow, how did I not see it??? I wasn't correctly marketing for a RE Agent. I did this and got 5 responses within the first 2 days. I met with all these people and they actually knew the Forced Appreciation Strategies.

All this goes to say, never give up.

Dean is the BEST Motivator I know of, one cannot put a price on his weekly wisdoms.
I spent the tens of thousands of dollars on deans systems to give myself no other option; I cannot fail, because I gotta pay off these credit cards lol.

You will run into roadblocks, one of the main reasons I purchased the additional training was for PropTrend. Come to find out that pre-foreclosures in my county are not uploaded, lol.

Here is what DG's system caused me to do:
-Get business cards
-Formed my LLC through his affiliate
-I became a member of 4 REIAs. One local, one an hour north, one two hours east, and one three hours west. I go to every meeting I can possibly make it to, you can only guess how expensive that is with my 5.6 V8.
-Become Professional and knowledgeable through any and all continuing education I can get my hands on.
-Find out what MOTIVATES ME ON A DAILY BASIS. When I get off regular work I immediately start blasting techno, which gets me all pumped up to do some business.

So I have to make another post:

Proof that DG has NOT lost his roots.

Recently he has been "swearing" alot in his videos, he even admitted it and apologized for it in a recent video.
Although its nothing compared to what comes out of my mouth...

Anyway I think it is awesome that he is swearing. Why?
Because he is a Christian.

Therefore I have to assume that he try's not to swear regularly, to be a role model for his children and to be accepted into the Christian community.

Which means that when he does swear, it is because he has a very intense feeling about what he is talking about.

Dean wants everybody to succeed SO MUCH that he is willing to curse when he see's students that are not succeeding.

And that is something that I can look up to. He continues to be my role model as I develop my business.

Karen was correct and Tammy was honest enough to apologize. But who hasn't faced some form of frustration at one time or another. Dean has and continues to help and support us by offering access to this website with added and continuous information, however, there are expenses incurred for doing so. This is offset by his books and other programs. Some may be financially able to purchase and others may not, but that does not deter access to information on this site. If you would like to succeed in the business, it takes planning and action. We have what it takes to be successful. Keep up the fight and the faith. God Bless.

Yes, a lot of people were disappointed over the fact that joining the IE was just not feasible for them right now. I am one of those people that just did not feel that I could budget it at this time.

I can remember when I first came here and various programs were offered and I had to pass on them. Just no money. I sometimes wondered the same thing.

I joined DG.com a little over two years ago and I started participating and studying and reading and connecting and I knew that things REALLY were different here. I developed very strong friendships. People who honestly and truly ARE closer than my blood family. And the longer I was here, the more I let myself believe!

This is a very hard and frustrating business. People come and go here so fast it is like a revolving door on crack! The business is simple. But not easy. You will hear this over and over because it is the truest true.

It is so easy to lose your motivation.

So here is my honest to goodness assessment of Dean. He does every single drop of this because HE HAS NOT FORGOTTEN!!!! They say an elephant never forgets!!! Whoever said that NEVER MET DEAN!

He knows down to the tips of his toes (yes, in his very expensive tennis shoes) that any of us can do it! But that's the whole dogma! We have to DO IT!

He knows how easy it is to get frustrated and give up and for us to never be able to break out of the oppressive struggles that many of us have day to day. And he wants better than that for YOU and for ME!

So he comes up with cool stuff to help us. To get us excited! To teach us and keep us believing in ourselves. Because when it comes down to it, that's who we really have to believe in, isn't it? We have to believe that WE are the ones who can do it!

And if you are really objective about this, How much did you pay to join this site? Of course, after you join, there is that BIG monthly fee... To ask questions and get answers from coaches and other people here who are doing lots of deals? The tickets for those videos from Dean every week get pretty expensive, too.

But, of course, it did cost you $19.95 for one of his books and he really insulted you by giving you the second one free!

Instead of resenting the fact that we couldn't join the "new club", I say let's celebrate the fact that we are a HUGE part of this family and we will never be left behind unless we decide to be!

As for me, I am using all these incredible tools and the knowledge that I have been blessed to receive here and I am gonna BUST IT!

And I need all my relatives here to charge with me!!!
