WOW! I have been so inspired by this website and look forward to whats coming in the next few months. I feel that I would benefits greatly from the edge event. But nature calls and thats exactly the time of my due date! Can't travel when you are expecting a new arrival. But I WILL be there next year. Prayerfully I will have done many deals by then. Thanks Dean. Great Blog. I LOVE IT!

********Good Idea********

Hi Dean that sounds like a good idea place to chat at your site it will make it better to network with others. Thank you for all everything your the best.

3.0 Upgrading

Dean,

Wow, it just keeps getting better with you, thanks for being the real deal. I would love to make a recommendation for the new site. It would really be cool to have a section that would apply to your more experianced investors that have gotten started with real estate and are looking to move to the 2nd, 3rd, 4th level and are looking for more advanced tools to help them succeed. I know your always reaching for the new student and bring someone new into the light. It would just be great to have a place where those that have reached a more advanced place in real estate can continue to learn from you. Thanks for all that you do, I really appreciate it.

Eric

P.S. Im a 110 percent on board with having live chat on your site. hooorraaahhh.

wow! that is amazing, and I can undersatnd you wanting to bring this site to a new level!

I don't know if the new site could prevent
new postings with questions that have been previously posted; maybe direct them to the previous threads?

Also, I hope that the site doesn't loose the family feel to it Smiling

I am Pumped

Dean,

I just have to tell you that the books and your website are making my mind spin in cycles and opening up creative thoughts like never before.
I am in my third month after seeing your infomercial and purchasing how to be a real estate millionaire and Ive already completed one assigment deal and I am working on my second. DG.com is full of wonderful people who are so willing to help out and I cannot wait to see what you have in mind for the new site.
I feel that I am in the perfect situation here in Myrtle Beach to invest and flip properties because with my plumbing business I get to meet so many property managers and agents, and I have connections in every aspect of repairs and remodeling homes, now I just need to put all the ingredients together and I will be knocking them out the park!

I really am looking forward to another conference call. When will you be doing this again? Thanks again to you and everyone on DG.com everything.. Life is Good!!!

Blog

I can't wait too see the improvements.

Yes Dean,

I really like this DG website. It is truly camaraderie... People talk with each other and helping each other through their challenges, and onward to achievements.

I look forward to what more you can do to improve the net even more. I am remaining positive, despite the naysayers. Smiling

I'm really excited about the prospect about an upgrade to the DG site. I like the way it works now, but, as we all know, when technology advances, it is always good to upgrade to obtain the benefits of the new stuff. I'm sure that there are lots of things that could be added to the site to make it better, that we as users can't even think of.

One thing that I would like to see is on the journal pages. It would be good to have a facility at the top of each page, especially the first page, to navigate to later pages in the journal. It is cumbersome to have to scroll down to the bottom of the first page in order to navigate to the last page to see the latest posts.

Thanks for a great site!!!!

Rick

Another Great Blog

Shellsell's picture

Hi Dean,

It sounds exciting going to the next level with DG website. I to hope that it doesn't lose the family atmosphere and is user friendly. Every day that I make steps my confidence level raises. Last week we went to an REI Meeting in Springfield,MO called the Ivory Investors. It was one of our best meetings yet. There was an investor who was pumped just like the DG'ers. The guest speaker didn't show due to weather so he took over. Got our real estate agent to send us expired listings, monthly. Advertising a condo for finders fee. Received 2 calls today from ads. Things are picking up. We are on the edge of a deal, I just know it. You are right 2011 is going to be the best year ever. It is going to rock. Thanks to you, staff, DG family, and the Success Academy.

Have a great week.

God bless

Due to work and unexpected financial commitments, I won't be able to make the 'EDGE' this year, even with your generous offer. I've never been (as I'm pretty new) but thought I might be able to make it, but I am still making progress (albeit slowly) with my book reading, listening to your conference calls when I can. I am overwhelmed even now with the information that is available to me, and I'm learning all the time.

I think you already do a fabulous job with what you have put together for us all, I had no idea it could be even better, but I'm sure what you have in mind will greatly benefit everyone even more.

I look forward with excitement and anticipation.

New site suggestions

CAM's picture

Dean,

I have a few suggestions for the new site so I hope this post is visible enough for you to notice...
First I'd like to mention while improving the site, to not add too many extra graphics so it keeps a more simple and fast loading "Craigslist" style layout. Also an eaisier way for DG members to communicate, as of now when you want to PM someone you still have to search their name to add in the title box. When you click the PM tab, their name should already be in the "Send to" slot.

Thanks for reading!

Hi Dean!

kareng's picture

It's always interesting when things progress to the next level.

I like the suggestion of Rick's to adjust something so we don't have to scroll to bottom of the first page of a thread to get to the latest postings. I personally do a lot of posts, so that is quite time consuming.

Also the incomplete bios! A real sticking point. More info should be required to be filled in in order to be active. You hear the argument of "protecting their privacy" but what about protecting the rest of us? Of course, I know that those can be faked but most of the times they won't be.

Dean, your mind is always cranking! Bigger and better!

Thanks for everything.

Karen

Looking forward to Dg 3.0

Live chat would be awsome with different chat catagories i some time ask a Q and never recieve follow up because quite frankly can,t remember where i posted it.I will use this site more if it was upgraded less time finding answers means
more time to look at all the opurtunity's and time to pursue. That is an excellent idea ty Dean and company

The Edge; Trouble in Taking Action

Hi Dean, I will plan for 2012! Great blog! I am having fear problems on getting started. I am finding foreclosures everywhere I go. And I know some of them can be a moneymaker! But man. I dont know why I am afraid to make a mistake? I have a little speech impediment that I am conscious off. So talking to people can become uncomfortable sometimes. I am working on that. But I am still nervous. I will get over it. But it does become problematic a lot of times. I was thinking of attending Toast Master event. How to speak publicly. Hopefully they can help me. Well I do have alot of foreclosures however here. So I better get cracking at some point. Thank you! Dean your blogs are giving me confidence!
Roland.

DG 3.0 & The EDGE!!!!!!!!!!!

cbrindamour's picture

Hmmmmmm.....how to make it better??? It's pretty awesome now. How about away to connect buyers / seller / and money???? That would make it really awesome!

I bought my EDGE ticket months ago with SFL, but....I am now going to bring my wife...wait till you meet her!!!!!!!! Laughing out loud

Edge 2011 + DG 3.0 = All the more reason to take action NOW!

SynysterAndre's picture

Hey Dean,

First off, what another great weekly blog, truly phenomenal! I like the follow up from last week's blog and how you tied it up with doing what you're so awesome at doing this week...giving a 2nd chance opportunity! : ) Now I'm not so sure if I'm able to get the special discount, but I will do everything in my power to get my butt over to the event. And if for any reason it doesn't work out for me, well that's okay. At least I'll be proud to know that I will have given it my best shot and like you said Dean....there's always next years.

So I hear good things are in store for DG.com, including 3.0. That sounds really cool and is getting me super excited just thinking about it. Imagine, all us DG family members coming together and getting to chat with one another, sharing ideas and motivating each other with wisdom and capabilities. Now that's a level up for DG.com, if I say so myself!

Well, it looks like there's only one thing left for me to do....get out there and start implenting everything I've learned and the resources I have, and finally make a difference for myself and my future ahead. And if I may quote a certain someone, "Knowledge + Action = Results"! ; ) Thanks so much Dean and I look forward to next weeks blog real soon. Take care and God Bless!!

Hi all:
Dean, you make it too difficult to use any other site but DG.com Smiling You made a great offer for the EDGE event but it will just have to wait until next year for me.
As for upgrading this site, what a concept! I have been a hard core believer in "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!" but I see that the time has come to change my ways. I have read through most of the posts and I see that almost all my issues have been suggested before. I hope you take CAM's suggestion about preloading names when you click the PM link. (I've had quite an issue with that today myself.) I think it would also be great if there were a way to quickly identify members state to state. (For the longest time I have been using dial-up internet because that's all I could afford and believe me, it takes quite a while to go through a list of names to see their profiles.)
I may be one of the last dinosaurs around but I don't use Facebook or myspace. I don't trust them. I've used the social site on the SFL system with little gratification. Do I need to be friends with 1000 people just because they are friends of friends of friends? I would feel much more comfortable if I knew that the people I was "Friending" were all part of this great site.
That's my take on the subject. I can't wait to see the results. 3 months? I can wait. I'm a fisherman... I have patience Eye-wink

Thanks for the continued improvements on this site. Your energy is contagious and as long as that continues, taking this to another level seems just right. Online social networking is new to me so anything that can be added to help maintain focus, find key info fast, search & track past message treads seems like stuff that may help others too.Smiling

DG 3.0

Great move! Always moving forward. This is a great community, but having a section for investors with the same project like REO etc at a particular time would even be better.
Thanks for all you and your team are doing for us. Please update us about the financing that you are putting together for us. I'm yet to do my first deal....in the success academy.
Thanks.

WOW I didn't think it would

WOW I didn't think it would have been possible to improve this site. The chat capability will be a nice add-on. Can't wait for 3.0 and see what else is new.

MORE EXCITED!

YOU EXTENDED THE TIME. THANKS DEAN.SEE YOU FROM

Can't wait to see a great site become 3.0. This site have help me out a lot and I still tell people to sign up on this site.

Blog

Dean,
I have liked all your blog's They give me the know that I can get up and do it. I have one or two houses in mind and am going to look at them to see that I can make money off them. I'm Sure I can!
Thanks for your blogs Keep them up!
Crossover, Sandy

Thank you again

Hi Dean, Thank you for all you do and for asking our oppinions, too. I haven't done my first deal yet, either, but I talked to one of your PMI coaches and he was a very big help. He gave me some ideas on how to find cash buyers and other investors. I know where the properties are; I know people who would like to rent or do a lease option; I just need to find the money to purchase these properties so I can help people find a nice home.
I know I can do it.
All the people on your staff and at PMI are always very helpful and patient. Thank you to all of them, too.
Ideas for the website, I like the idea of being able to find people who are interested in the same types of properties, being able to more easily respond to messags, and especially spell check.
Keep up he great work. Best wishes always.
Kathy

The updates are certain to be awesome!

Hello Dean and DGers,

I have been away so much, but am always happy to come back and recall that sense of excitement when I am around this site. Life does get in the way and I am not letting it get me down, but I have let it slow me down. Or maybe I have simply gone with the flow.

No excuses, but I'm not giving up either. Baby baby steps. I hope all of my acquaintances are well, and I hope to be around again a bit more soon, certainly for the upgrades.

And maybe I'll still make the EDGE yet!

Sincerely,
Kevin A Goldman

Was just thinking of this

But it would be great to have an 'online status' indicator to see if someone is online at the moment at the side of the posts (not just on the profile). (Maybe if one is doing research on the site, people can have the option of turning their online status to 'off' as well for privacy Eye-wink)

Also, as others mention, don't want DG.com to lose its family appeal either. Having everyone's 'status' pop up would not be an improvement on the site IMHO, so not totally like FB! Keep it uniquely DG.com. (Maybe if statuses are used, it could be seen only if you want to see someone's status by running a mouse over a name or something more subtle like that.) Nothing that would distract from the real estate aspect of the site!

Rick and Cam have great ideas as well. Very excited to see what your programmers come up with! Smiling
