Dean Graziosi Weekly Video Blog #99 - Dean's Diet Update...?

Dean Graziosi Weekly Video Blog

This week, Dean talks about how even when we have everything we need to succeed, sitting right in front of us, sometimes we still get stuck.

The previous two weeks he offered an exercise to overcome this typical occurrence. If you took part in it, good for you. This week, Dean has a totally different type of challenge. This one is really going to take commitment. Watch and see if you're "in."

Another great motivational

Another great motivational step Dean! I've managed without news for a few months since reading your books and haven't missed it at all. The negative talk with coworkers was a different tale though. When you're focussing on avoiding negativity in everyday life it's amazing how often people just want to complain! I now have the 'switch' to turn on and tune out but I must admit it takes practice. Looking forward to this weeks challenge as I hate to 'tread water' with my time. Keep up the inspiration!

I was just up in Portland, OR where my son Eric interviewed for a job and got it. When I got home my guy, Conrad, started to say "well if he just..." and I stopped him right there and said let's only send positive and successful thoughts Eric's way and I played last weeks blog for him. It worked. Also, since I've had my first offer accepted and been talking to my family (the main nay sayers) about it, there's a no more negativity coming my way from them. Thanks Dean. See you soon.

Blog # 99 ... Make a List.

Hi, Dean and DG Family. I love this website!! I will take this challenge and journal my schedule from the time I wake up to the time I go to sleep. I work 9am to 5pm in a stressed environment. Then I get home and I must admit that when I study and watch DG's 2010 Edge DVDs and take notes, and study the Set For Life Webinars, I write down the time that I begin. The time surely goes by fast. I'd rather study than clean the house. Tonight I must clean up. Yuk. I need a maid.

Blog #99 Time Doc

Great challenge Dean! I know from my own experience on how easy it is to waste the time here and there on any given day. This assignment / challenge I believe will be a real eye opener for many of us. Obviously many of us are busy and some more than others, but it can be interesting when keeping track of one's day on how easy it is to not use time in the most productive ways possible.

My next step !

Dean, the clear thinking has really been a great achievement for me. I've had the best time being able to just glide straight through thoughts without an interruption of any kind. Since getting my own residence, I've really been able to focus. No TV at all. I can do with out it for the most part. My focus is on. Thanks Dean for the re-directing of the "Thought Processing". No worries.

Took your last 2 challenges and they were worked out great. I will enjoy taking this challenge of documenting each day. I have done it in the past and found it works like a charm for learning time management as well as where you can make some changes to better fit with your goals.

Have a great week!

negativity

Dean you are so right about negativity, if you let it, it'l run your life, right dean?

thank you so much for the info

Great Idea

ggilding's picture

Hey Dean
That is a great idea, to journal our time. When we finish we will be amazed at how much we can get done or not get done because of wasted time. When we go on vacation we plan every part of each day so we can get the most out of our trip. Wellll why not do that for lifes journey. We will be so much further head with some organization. But we have to remember that it is one step at a time. Like the wise man told his student. "the best way to eat an elephant is one bite at a time".So it is with learning the r/e investing business.
You are keeping me positive and on track with your inspiration.
Thank you Dean and all of the DG family
Greg

My thoughts - disappointment, discouraged and have given up.

My thoughts - disappointment, discouraged and have given up.

Dean,

Let me first say that I have wanted to try and better myself and my life for a long time. I have wanted to stop living pay check to pay check and feel secure. Know I have the bills paid, the money there for emergencies, vacation or to be able to have some of the things in my life that I want. As well as not have to kill myself working two jobs, getting only 20 hours of sleep a week due to work and stress of life and feeling as though I have nothing to show for it except for a paid bill. In doing so I have tried a number of things that has fizzled out or ended up being scams or for it to really work you have to have their help which of course cost more money. And they want the money up front. They try and convince you to come up with the money even if it means not paying your bills to do so because the return will make it all better. So no matter how you look at it it still takes money to make money. I have wanted to try and get in to real estate for at least ten years now. I have looked at the seminars that come to town and seen all of the infomercials and they were all the same. The one day I saw your segment on TV and from the very first moment I was drawn in. I felt connected to your words, what you were saying, your personality, knowledge and the feeling that you were genuinely sincere and confident about your system, helping people better them self, there lives and teaching them how to do it. I was there, in the moment and with you all the way. I watched your whole segment was excited and bought your books. I have even watched some of your newer segments (like the one while your driving home) and I now have three of your books and two DVDs. The problem is that they now sit and just look good on my book shelf. You see as I have written above with two jobs and a serious lack of sleep I don't have time. On top of that I am not a big reader. I could read, read, read and I will still have trouble remembering and obtaining all the information for two reasons. One I am to tired, stressed (and probably a little depressed) and two I am more of a hands on learner kind of guy. I also guess you could say that I am having a problem on the confidence and drive category as well due to all the above and then some. Like just not knowing where to start, how to start and so on. Then I got that phone call saying that you wanted to expand and help some people out in my area reach success with your personal help as well as info about the training academy. I thought to myself wow this is awesome, it really is going to work, it's my time, it's really going to happen and my life and future is going to change. I will have a friend/partner to help lead the way, walk me through it and I will get that hands on teaching/learning that works for me. After a couple of times I will have the ball rolling and be able to just pick it up and keep running with it. Then came the disappointment and discouragement. Of course just like all the ones before it still came down to the same old statement (it takes money to make money as well as time) which I have none of both. So the books and DVDs got put on the shelf and the hopes went on the back burner and I went back to what I have to do and that daily, weekly, monthly and yearly grind trying to make ends meet, the bills paid, eat and oh don't let me forget trying to get some sleep.
I want to add that the two prior challenges are dead on. I like you may watch about a half hour of the news a month because it is just filled with negativity and never read the paper. I also do my best to try and limit the negative human influences in my life on a daily basis. Most of my friends are positive and have positive out looks. I just seem to have the worse luck and all most always get the bad breaks.
I have seen, heard and read all of the success stories and I can only wish and dream to be one of them. I just want to say I do believe in your knowledge and system as well as believe that you are truly genuinely sincere. It just has the same out come that all the rest does. So that leads to the I have given up. I do have to add that you truly are a very good motivational speaker. To all the rest of you good luck on your endeavors and I hope that all of you succeed, meet your goals and fulfill your hopes and dreams.

Sincerely,

Stuck in life instead of enjoying it,

Itswolf

Simple but True!

cbrindamour's picture

Thanks again Dean for taking the time every week to put these blogs together. This is very simple but very true information. The negative holds most people back! Thanks for challenging us.

The Challenge Is Mine Should I choose To Accept It.

Dean, thanks again for keeping us focus on what is important regarding our goals and expectations for the future. As you stated on several occasions, the news could be very disappointing, and this is realty. Therefore, I spend most of my time watching, Selling New York and HGTV, which provide great selling and buying tips. However, I will again accept this week's challenge. This might be mighty interesting.

Weekly Video Blog # 97

Dean,
I hardly watch the news, or TV at all, and block as many negative people as possible. I try to keep all of my friends in a posative mode as well. I have been this way since I bought your first book, and will keep this attitude for life, thanks for the reminders.

Weekly Video Blog # 99

Dean,
Great challenge ! I know my schedule gets a little crazy at times, because I dont log it all down.
This will be great, I cant wait to see your next Blog. I started my list, and can already see things that I need to change.

trying to stay positive

Hi Dean,
I really appreciate all of your hard work and dedication to our success.
I am trying to stay positive and energized, but I am kind of on the other side of the fence. I invested in rental properties 15-20 years ago as a long term investment. I have weathered the bumps over the years, but now with other investments failing and the state of the economy, I found myself needing to liquidate my rental properties. I have people coming to me doing what I wish I could do which is offering 70% of market value. In short, the few offers that I have received have all been considerably less than what I paid for these properties almost 20 years ago. They have all been maintained well and show well. My question to you is How do I sell my existing properties and make some profit to be able to reinvest? I feel trapped in my situation at present.
I would welcome any suggestions that you have.
Thanks,
Jim Chrzan

Thank You

Thanks Dean for the weekly motivation tips that you do. The news diet was great, challenging but it was a good thing, and I will do it again this week including writing down everything that I do.

Dean's Encouragement!

LDCOOK55's picture

Hello Dean,

I want to thank you for your encouragement. You help me to remember I control where my time goes and what it is spent on. You always have a very positive attitude and I appreciate the time you take to speak with us.

My goal is to focus on growing my business and learning all I can from you and your team. That means not giving my time to the naysayers with their discouraging comments. I will be successful!

Thanks again,

Picking me up...

gtrujillo09's picture

You know Dean, when it comes to real estate investing I just keep falling with appointments and feeling like just giving up but watching and listing to you I just keep getting up and thinking that if it hurts falling it would hurt even more if I stay down.

Thanks for the lift up, keeping coming Dean.

Not able to view your blog

HI Dean, I have really liked your video blogs, but lately every time I receive one,I click on the arrow and the screen goes black. I'v called your office and they did not know how I can fix this. I would appreciate if you would help find out why your blogs are not playing. Miss your enthusiasm !

Apartment vs house??

Hi Dean,

First I wanted to thank you for all the information and support you offer on your website.

I got your book more than a year ago. The same week that it came out, due to external influences (like your blog said), Ive never read it and Ive never did anything... Now I AM finally reading it!! I am so excited that I want to start right now.. The problem is, as many people here, I dont have enough money.. I live in Yonkers, NY.. Only have 7k in cash, maybe I can get 12k.. but I a torn between getting an apartment and renting it out or try to strecht my budget and buy a home.. I believe my problem relies more in the fact that I feel like I will be kind of "throwing" away my money with the westchester county taxes (one of the most expensives in the US) and the maintenance fees, without also counting the fact tenant has to be board approved.. which many people say its a headache.. I'd rather stay close to home for my first investment property (I live in westchester already) but a friend of mine told me to invest in FL.. because I can get more for my money..
I need help ad I feel lost.. I just need some light at the end of the tunnel.. Can you please give me some feedback here?? what do you think??

I highly appreciate it.

Thanks,
You are the best!!
Sincerely,

Tatiana

You're Always On Point

Hello Dean,
I listened/tuned in to your blogs last week and the diet was very easy. I have fasted the news on TV, radio and newspaper since ~1996. I found that it is a tool to generate human unrest more so now than when I was a child. I have often turned negative press from others into some degree of positivity; it really repels repeat offenders.

Thank you so much for words of encouragement and for the incredible training. The GAIN the Edge 2010 DVDs are phenomenally packed with realistic [somewhat frightening] tasks to accomplish. We are actively implementing them as our buyers list builds.

I will take this weeks challenge and log my activities.

You and your team are a blessing!

Thank you

Hi Dean,
I have stayed away from the negative influence and the news. I am continue with that challenge start your new challenge. I have a feeling I now were you are going with this challenge and I think that it is great.

P.S. Thank you for all the e-mails and blogs keep them coming.

Documenting My Day

Summerset's picture

This will be a real challenge for me. I seem to always be busy and taking out time to write down everything will really take some doing for me. I have heard that journaling will really keep you on track and help you to see where you've been and how far you've come.

Incidentaly, I had just been looking at a journal that I had on my desk that is empty, and wondered how people find time to actually write in them.

Keeping head above water

Still having PC problems Dean.

Keeping up with you on an old borrowed laptop. Thanks for the new blog. Life too hecktick for news or any negetivity, so I think I'm in default mode when it comes to your challenges. With that in mind I think I'm going to sub' these with one of your old standards that I have yet to try. Terrified!. But 5 single fam homes have gone up in my neighborhood in the last week, not to mention all the rentals that are way out of bounds for this area, 2000 and up per/mth. Three rentals have come down to 1750, still too much! Time to strike. I'm gonna try one of Carrols moves by the end of the week. My buyers list isn't finished but I've got to have at least one of them that'll bite? Wish me luck! My PC should be ready by next week, talk to ya then Dean!
Thanks,
Manny
