Dean Graziosi Weekly Video Blog #99 - Dean's Diet Update...?

Dean Graziosi Weekly Video Blog

This week, Dean talks about how even when we have everything we need to succeed, sitting right in front of us, sometimes we still get stuck.

The previous two weeks he offered an exercise to overcome this typical occurrence. If you took part in it, good for you. This week, Dean has a totally different type of challenge. This one is really going to take commitment. Watch and see if you're "in."

Thanks for your encouragement

I like your weekly videos. You make me feel like a friend and you have very encouraging words that are like happy pills or something like that. I have to admit I never gave you a chance years ago because I was skeptical but not any more. It wasn't too long before I realized that your commercials were only scratching the surface of a new way of life. I didn't know you like to listen and watch Joel Olsteen...! I record his sermons on my DVR regularly and have a lot of positive people in my life. What an inspirational guy Joel is and to hear you talk about him in that light I totally get you.

Hey Dean

John A's picture

I did watch the blog video & you caught my attention when you mention someone I also look up to...I didn't know your friends with Joel & Victoria Olsteen, their awesome....now I know where your getting your influences from, LOL. Have a great week, your awesome also Smiling

I'd have to agree w/ what

boi212's picture

I'd have to agree w/ what you said Dean. Its is a challenge to cut things off and come to an understanding of the power of our negative influences . What I've come to realize this year more than anything is that we have a "choice" in allowing those things to be a distraction in our lives. I have years of financial programming built in me and I see myself taking another 27 yrs or less reprogramming that knowing there are other paths and options. I appreciate the stimulating thought process and different angles in which to look at things. I'm going to continue giving my all in achieving my REI goals. So thank you once again. Greatest days to all.

million thanks!

Dean,

As always, your pep talks are always inspiring.

I've said it a million times, but you're really are one of the best cheerleaders on the planet, just like Joel Osteen!

And rest assured, you're really helping a lot of us down on the trenches.

Your challenges are really good, but due to my circumstances right now, it's not easy. But I'll keep on trying.

Because I'm truly determined to succeed on this, against all odds. And thanks much for all your words of encouragement.

As I've said before, hopefully pretty soon I'll be writing you that my 1st deal came through!

Then work further to put through also my 2 other deals on the wing.

Sincerely,

Aurora

Dean's new Challenge.

Dean I have started my challenge in that I made it to my computer after my internet being down for 2 days to start going through my emails n of course i went straight to yours n this nweeks video blog 99. Very inspiring. I've made my call to the sheriff's office to find out how to get on the email list for next weeks sheriff auction sales. Nobody will be stealing my dreams!! Keep up the grat work you are an inspiration, and I too have bought them all and have finally found the real deal, and great educator and mentor, as are all your successful students! Thanks Eric from Topeka KS.

THANK YOU

I WOULD LIKE TO THANK YOU FOR YOUR ENCOURAGING WORDS MAY GOD BLESS YOU IN ALL YOU DO.

Another great challenge

Thanks Dean, once again, for helping us to keep on track. You are an inspired coach..and we all benefit if we follow thru.
I actually discovered how much neQgativity in my life affects everything I do. Quite a revelation! Semper Fi D-LO

I'm intrigued to see where this is going.

Success32's picture

Hi Dean,
I think your challenges have been great for everyone here. I personally have been on a news/TV/negativity diet for almost 3 years now just by circumstance b/c I haven't had the time to waste on it all since having my children. And I have to say I like my life better this way. Many of my friends and relatives think I'm crazy, and I get lectured often on how I "need" to keep up with the world. But I don't see the need at all. I think I hear enough through other people around me. It has proven to me also how much everyone in our society depends on the media for giving them direction in life. I believe most people thrive on these influences b/c they don't know how to exist otherwise. We are all taught that the more news we watch and papers we read, that it makes us more educated and better "informed Americans". I think it's a bunch of hog-wash and actually a control of the masses. I could go on...

Anyway, thank you for being a great positive influence for all of us. I must say, whenever I feel myself slipping back into my life before DG
all I have to do is visit this web site or pop in one of your DVD's or CD's ad I get back on track. You are an amazing person and I am eternally greatful for all that you have done to help your students. I hope someday to thank you in person!

All my best to you Dean and all my fellow DGers!

Mental Journal

keepmylifesimple's picture

Hey!

It's Patty. Just stopping in to say I WISH I could say that I have been keeping my journal.

I have been sick with a cold virus for almost 2 weeks now.

I have tried to keep MENTAL notes of how I am using my time.

Looking forward to feeling better so I can fully do this on paper.

Congrats to all of you who are keeping track with your journals!

EVERYONE: Please read the following comment listed below
and send him a Personal Message if you can!!

To "ITSWOLF" (from your comment on October 18 at 20:03pm):

DON'T GIVE UP!!!
Find out what things you ARE GOOD AT and ENJOY DOING and just WORK ON GETTING BETTER at THOSE things!!! Smiling

Dean: Remember for the last conference call, you asked us to think of questions to ask you?

Well, I came up with one for Itswolf, myself and
everyone here:

You mentioned you were and are not good at English-spelling, grammar, etc...

WHAT WOULD YOU HAVE DONE OR DO NOW IF YOU WERE NOT GOOD AT REAL ESTATE INVESTING, TEACHING AND MOTIVATING?

WHAT would YOU do if INSTEAD of Real Estate Investing, the MAIN WAY to earn money and support our families came from being an EXPERT IN ENGLISH??

Different ones on the site NEED to know WHAT the NEXT STEP they should take if they fall into this category!!

NO MATTER HOW HARD THEY TRY, they FEEL like they are TRYING TO FIT A ROUND PEG through A SQUARE HOLE!!

They just DON'T have the DRIVE, the SAME WAY you don't have the DRIVE to focus on English.

My first guess is that your answer MAY BE:

1) FIND A PARTNER TO WORK WITH THAT DOES HAVE THE DRIVE for REI.

2) You do the OTHER things in the business YOU are BETTER AT.

Dean and everyone, thanks for reading this.

If you decide to REPLY HERE Dean,
PLEASE ALSO SEND "ITSWOLF" A PERSONAL MESSAGE TO COMFORT HIM!! Smiling
(just to make sure he gets the message, in case he doesn't read these comments)

Thanks and "PLAN ON" (in your JOURNALS) MAKING it a GREAT WEEKEND Everyone!! Smiling

Patty

A LITTLE INSPIRATION GOES A LONG WAY

joeyharp_2001's picture

Hey Dean, here's something I've been doing ever since the NEWS DIET CHALLENGE: I wake up every morning and put on the stock market/CNBC between 3:30 to 5am sometime, most days, and will flip to MSNBC here and there. So what I've been doing is MOSTLY shining that on and certainly for 10 days initially I only went looking for your recent Infomercial (I like the one where you're driving in your car; that one is still running and is pretty trick), whereas I put it on, close my eyes and just listen and see myself doing deals. Afterall, it was the infomercials that inspired me initially anyway! They still do! Also, it sure would be good to be able to "read" your weekly blog, not just listen to it; occasionally I have computer problems with the audio downloads. I suspect so do others.

Keep on keepin' on. CAN'T WAIT for the next conferrence call! Joseph Reesha with a Smile

Thanks

Hello Dean,

Thank you for encouraging people to stay positive during challenging times. You truly do inspire me to seek a better life.

Sincerely,

Negative Husband.

I'm sorry to say, but the most negative person in my life is my husband.....any suggestion on how I can stay away from him??? LOL
As for the news, I never watch it. Growing up my dad watched it every day. I hated it then, and I hate now. In fact I don't watch much TV at all, but when I do it's usually something that will help me get my laugh on.

Can't thank you enough.

Hi Dean,

Long before I became a DG member, I've been in partnership with Joel Osteen. His ministry has brought so much comfort and support to my life. Knowing you are friends with him gives me such a sense of peace to know I've made the right choice. I have lost everything, I am homeless (crashing on friends sofa mostly) and still unemployed for over a year and a half. My unemployment benefits just ran out last week, so I don't even know how I am going to continue to pay for your SFL program. I'm not sure how much longer I can hold on to my car.

Regardless of these things, between Joel's teachings and your inspiration, I know not to give up. I know God has a great future for me through Joel and you have shown me I can have a great future in real estate.

I know you were a God send...

Bless you,

Diana

Hi Dean

I just finished reading the email you sent me,it was inspirational as always. It's okay to be a softy sometimes, it's good for heart. Even though you try you can't help everyone, at least by your self. So it's a good thing you have inspired an army of carrying people to help you.All anyone has to do is start reading all the post that YOUR DG FAMILY NETWORK puts out there every day,all trying to help someone that has asked for it.Sure you could work less and make more money, but that is not who you are.Nor would you get that great feeling, you get when you see how much your inspiration has changed some one's life.Stories like Carol,Matt and so many others. You just keep doing what your doing you will be happier. The quickest way to being miserable is to look the other way when you could helped someone.
I know that feeling you keep talking about when you help someone.I was in a better position twelve years ago I had a small trucking company with ten drivers, that used to haul loads for me all over the US. All my trucks had double sleepers so a lot of times I made it so they could take their family with them, and got them tickets to Disney, and a couple of times they got to be at the Superbowl. No matter where they were on holidays I would have them come back empty so they could be with their family. Thanksgiving and Easter I would take the biggest turkeys and hams to each of their houses,so they didn't have to worry about it. It's a small thing but it meant something to them, and it gave me a good feeling doing it. So I know that feeling you talk about all the time.

Dean on other note, you mention a few times how you want to know what it's like being married along time well my wife and I have been together for 35 years. You know she is my best friend that's how you do it. What ever downfall come along we face them together, and we always get threw it somehow. It's about sharing a life and watching your children grow up, get married, have children of their own. Then you get to do it all over again with the grandchildren, but you get to spoil them and no one can say anything about it.Sorry for rambling on but your email touched a soft spot in my heart today.
You keep doing what your doing and we all will keep learning.

The way you inspire thousands, and get them motivated, I'm glad this is the direction your on, because think of the trouble we would be in if you where some kind of cult leader.
God bless you for all that you do.

PS: I will be posting a new forum topic tonight
I hope you and the other DG family members will read it and give me some feedback.

Thank you
your friend and student

Hi Dean,

My husband and I are determined to make a change in our lives and push forward. I am really excited to make our first deal and we have worked on eliminating all the negative people that would like to stop us along our new journey together. I must say it has also been good for our relationship as we spend more time together working on our new business as REI. Thanks so much for your encouraging words. Ed and I will become one of your success stories!!! By the way I did purchase your new book and I can't wait to start reading it. Thanks so much for all you do.

Sorry to say Dean:

dinoMartino's picture

Sorry to say Dean:
But this week I fell off the wagon and allowed myself to get stuck in the middle ( Again ) When it comes to family matters, that when I'd like nothing more than to turn away and run for the hills, because this has been my down fall. But its pretty tough when your living back home and your trying to keep everyone from killing each other.

I am going to document

dinoMartino's picture

I am going to document everything I do, this week and also next week.
My sister who just moved back home, on the heels of her latest break up, has been spiraling down into the blacken dark hole of the abyss since 04.
Divorce, Bankruptcy , Foreclosure and now having to face Mom and Dad talking to her like a child after she's been out on her own for the last 30 years.
Cronic negetivity is what I am surrounded with. Sometimes I go to the Library and get online, where I conduct most of my research. But this unfortunate set of circumstances have prevented me from doing such. Staying focused is my biggest problem because I have very close ties with my family, and they are one of the most volitale, irrational bunch of people I know.
When I tried talking sense to my sister, my advice seems to fall on deaf ears. I am trying like hell to talk her into investing in real estate, but she swears after foreclosure, she will never buy another piece of property again.

Yes Dean, I have been distracted and pulled off my path again, but I am going to get right back on that horse again and start looking for solutions instead of wasting my time looking at the problems.

This weeks blog

Great blog as always but especially now. It really is true that once you focus on not listening to the 24 hr news world and not being involved in negativity, you really start to get clear. And this has taught me to do that and even though I'm not always able to live exclusively live by this, it changed my thought pattern to where I'm beginning to focus more and not get distracted because at the end of the day that's what it is. Thanks Dean.

Hmmmm

Funny but I'm afraid that taking the time to write everything down will take up important time that I could be working on RE! But then again it may just very well help me get a good picture of how I can better organize my time. So I will give it a good go at the end of each day! Thanks as always Dean for taking the time to share your great ideas with us.

Mr.Graziosi

I come to your site almost daily. I real and study everyday. I spent my last and only money in 1.5yrs on your system I seen on tv knowing it will work. I have no car mo money when I was let go from my job I was driving semi's but they fixed it where I wont get hired for that anymore. I am 38 broke no car have to stay with my grandmother til i can make something happen. My question is if you have no car nor money I want to do Assignments but believe I have to be there for paper work so what would my options be? Oh I now have a Real Estate Agent as of today that sent me a bunch of listings I am going to check out and some buyers. so would like to know what to do next.

Keith

Dean Thanks

Thanks for being an inspiration!!!

My Heart

Dean,
You recently sent out an email, asking me to tell you whats on my heart so here goes. Remember you asked!

This is Shawn Downey better known on here as Promeric and you even commented on me three months ago on how post touched you, so you reopened the SFL back up for some of us who missed out. I was awaiting a really big check to come through to purchase the program. Well first and foremost thank you again. I really love all of your books and even more so the SFL and the Edge10 videos that came along. I bet ive seen them a thousand times so far.
I told you that Matt should look out and that i am wanting to surpass him though he does have a huge lead on me, my goal is and will always remain to be successful in Real Estate even if i never catch Matt. Ok so enough of the back ground lets get to my heart.
My heart tells me you have always looked out for us, encouraged us, motivated us, given us challenges that push our magic buttons which is exactly what we need. The amazing part is Dean I have had your books, your programs, can even teach you your stuff. I know backwards and forwards, I know what goes in the contract, Heck Dean i know what not to put in the contract, I have SFL, to which it is awesome but has only one Flaw that i have found so far, that flaw being that i have had the same 486 buyers for the past three months. I even emailed you guys to which i did get a response in that we are trying to work something out with a new lead generation company. Awesome business is business i get that but i thought it would of been atleast some what quicker than this but im not really complaining so dont take it that way just notifying you of an issue, i personally have not made it all the way through the list anyways. I am actually happy as a lark that i have 486 people to market to so please only thanks your way. No negativity i promise. Sometimes i find words on a page dont really express someones true feelings behind them.
So again my heart, my heart is that even with all this that i have right in front of me, i still have yet to close one deal. I have had a house locked up on contract yet did the stupidest thing of not having the buyers list first, rookie mistake. I got Five hundred from the buyer who did back out so i atleast can say i made that but over all Dean i cant get past the day to day of having to be at work sometimes 7-9 or working 50 sometimes 60 hours in a week as a CVS Store Manager. My wife has MS, my son is Autistic and we may have twins on the way, not sure will find that out on Nov,9th. I have been through so much in my life Dean, my step dad stabbed me twice, my real dad held a gun to my head, and i have gotten passed it, I have a college education, 12yrs managing experience, A family, a house, two cars yet i still want more, and feel i deserve more not because of selfishness or any of that but so that i can give back to others in need, teach, coach, them on real estate or life just like you do with us and so my question is motivation is there, buyers list i have, SFL, Edge10, all of your books, the drive is somewhat lost i wont lie, because i have worked my tail off to provide for my family and its tough on those hours but my heart tells me its an up hill battle and only the ones who truly want it not the talkers but the walkers which i hate that expression but its true really succeed.
So my heart is still filled with anxiety of being scared that i will actually succeed i think. That I wont have that bad story to tell, that the Devil I know is easier than dealing with the Devil I dont. The funny thing is that i want that other Devil bad lol. I just cant seem to shake this one. So you asked us for the challenges and i have taken them to "HEART." I always have found inspiration from you, this sort of hey i want to be that guy one day mentality. So my heart tells me to keep plugging away, put more effort, except your challenges, and even if i have to pull a Greg Murphy by goodness i guess thats what i will have to do! Its 3:19 here in Cincinnati, Ohio and I cant sleep, all i can think about is Real Estate, and my dreams of Success for me and the people in my "Heart." So Dean keep up the good work, keep fighting i will eventually be that success story i promised you i'd be even more so maybe keep some promises to myself too! Till next week with i already known where your going with the time tracking thing of look at it and see what exactly can come out of it and replace it with Real Estate Marketing, research, making offers, looking at properties, the hard part is actually doing it, and not being afraid to succeed one i still struggle with. From the big Chicken in the morning Promeric/Shawn Downey signing off.
Thanks again Dean for just listening or reading lol.

I am lost

Too much info I am puzzled. I need help ,I am about to give up.

I'm 54. I have been through many many MANY learning guru's yet when ever i decided to get their stuff they somehow disappointed, misrepresented or in many cases gave me an attitude because i dared question the implications they had used to sell me on their wares and Dean I am weary and leary of believing in yet another one of these things again.

However, there is something about you. I won't say what it is i have my opinions but i am still here and i haven't put your email into my SPAM folders and its all because i hear and read you and there is something that keeps me here and it is you, simply YOU!.

Hate getting negative but on Sep. 3, 2010, i called 888-286-7712. The receptionist promised a coach would call me back, I already forgot his name. and am still waiting for him.

I was done with you but your relentlessness in weekly blogs have kept me with a kernal of trust in you. I don't feel you're faking it. I don't feel a trick, i feel you're genuine so i am here.

I have a strong belief i should trust you Dean. Time will tell.

Thank you for your time.
