Matt, you are so right on. There are a lot of different ways to say it. If you think you can, you can. If you think you can't you can't, etc.
I was at a conference with Robert Shemin this weekend and he used the phrase "Pure Intent" to make the same point. You cannot be stopped if the goal, whatever it is - is sought with PURE INTENT. No other thoughts, no other possibilities, no other outcomes, no maybes. Thanks for continuing to motivate by continuing to achieve. What limits?

It does not matter how many books you read, seminars you go to, courses you take, etc.

The motivation will fade if you do not set goals, stay focused on them, read the outloud daily, keep them in front of you and TAKE ACTION on what you have learned.

Create a checklist of things you need to do daily in order to reach your goals.

Dont focus on TODAY. Focus on Tomorrow, next week, next month, next year next 5 years.

Put the past in the past, focus on the future.

Settle down, get laser focused, on one goal at a time.

Knocking out goals is the way to SUCCESS!

This is what i needed this morning, what a powerful message because thats exactly how i feel. Im so tired of not being free. Not being free from stress, money, happiness. Now is the time to fight & die for ours rights to be free. Not only for our selves, but for our future, our kids and family & the next ten generation behind us. Now is the time to TAKE YOUR FREEDOM.
That reminded me of a movie i saw the other day "Hurricane Season" When A New Orleans high school basketball team won the National Championship that year. This happened after the tragic Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans & flooded the whole city. A very real & tragic day in history that will never be forgotten. But this story was not about a fall, it was about a rise. It was what they did after they experienced there greatest defeat. Not only losing there homes, family & friends, but almost even there own lives. THEY HAD A STRONGER REASON TO PLAY BASKETBALL AND WIN!!! To be successful & take back there lives on the court, one game at a time.

We must make the decision that we wont quit until we are where we want to be.
I have already made that decision BUT who’s wit me, who’s going to the top with me. There is no need for a plan B because it will take away from plan A. Race to your dreams with full throttle my DG family....

I needed this today! I also remember you writing about the things you gave up. You took steps to dig out and you didn't let being tired, etc stop you. I am hoping to reach the top so you won't be lonely, Just kidding! I am looking up!

Thanks Matt for the motivation. It shows when you have your mind and goals on the same page , you can make it happen. Im working hard to succeed and not let anything stop me.

You took me back to when I was 17 and living with my Dad. My family had split and it was just me and Dad. I remember telling him "I just want to be free". He said "you will never be free because you will always have someone to boss or be in charge of you and two things you will have to do is pay your taxes and die". Wow! Somehow I have just always believed that I can be free and live a better life no matter what.

The next thought that was triggered was my focus on what it is that is stopping me. I think I have the Whitney Houston syndrome without the drugs. She asked Kevin Kostner if she would be good enough for the part in The Bodyguard. I have been afraid of failing and asking myself "can I really deliver"? Do I really have what it takes after all I have invested into REI. This is heavy stuff and I am exposing my vulnerability here.

I so appreciate you Matt and thank you for giving new or different perspective and insight. You are a true leader.

I'm here at work on my lunch break. Tired of my job. I have a list of my goals written down, but I don't have a date on when I will not have to depend on this job. I will state my claim, on this day next year, 3/14/13, I won't need this job anymore. I'm done. I can't be with the crowds anymore. Living a comfortable life, not striving for more. Their is more out there, and Real Estate is the vehicle that will get me there. I say this with pride, my empire will begin out of a 10x8 bedroom/office. Matt your an inspiration.

Love your comments and outlook. I try to be this way; but as you know today was a little rough. I am mostly focused and loving the opportunity that REI holds as well as to be able to play with real estate. It is almost hard to say it is work, isn't it!?!

You are soo right Matt!

I too have had many obstacles in my life, from losing my father at an early age, to people telling you that you cant do this, cant do that. Ive never listen to negativity from people. When i set out a goal, i wanna be the best and accomplish it. I went from not playing high school football to walking-on to a major university and making the football team, to then playing 6 yrs professional football. Ive had my ups and downs playing, but i got some great words of wisdom that i always keep with me, "Its not where you start but where you finish." Ive always believed in myself surrounding myself around positive people, my family, what i can accomplish in creating my own future/destiny.

Im excited for this journey in becoming a REI and becoming a member of the DG family. This is my 1st post/reply.

Cannot wait to do my 1st wholesale deal and THENNN....

GET UP early every morning and do this for 30 days. And just see if your mindset doesn't change. IF you Do it, I'll guarantee you, you'll see changes in less than a week.

You've got to fuel your OWN fire! You've got to protect your OWN dreams! You have to fight for it, now one's going to give it to you.

Matt barely knows my name, but you know what......that's fine. I don't do it for him, or anyone else for that matter. I do it for me! But he has been 'coaching' me for years! LOL I simply just copied what worked! But through these threads, was the encouragement when I needed it and had no where else to get it, it was the kick in the tail when I deserved it, the fuel to my fire when it weakened, and the hope that I could do too.
From these threads = This regimen, this mindset, these actions.......is what got me FREE! But I still use them! The world is weak. When you show it you WANT back down, it will. But if it senses or sees US getting weak, slacking off it stands ready to attack! Stay prepared. Work offense not just defense!

to quit my JOB!! (which also stands for "Just Over Broke") I'm quitting my job, actually I'll be retiring from my JOB, on August 31, 2016. Whew, that seems like a long ways away, but it's better than the alternative. If I don't do something different now, I'll have to work until I'm in my 70's! Ugh, just the thought of that really gets me MOTIVATED to succeed!!
