We don't need the newbie stuff! It does get redundant, like Dean say's "Fake it till you make it!" Reading the books and the post's are educational and some entertaining to say the least. Matt you are on your way!

After reading a phenomenal post like that, I am beyond grateful to ya Matt and pumped up to get out there and JUST DO IT ALREADY! I can't tell u how many times I've been held back by so many things and excuses, it's been driving me insane! But if there's one thing that I've learned from Dean that he's mentioned in the past from his live conference calls, its basically to "Think less, do more, and get results!" And of course, the big picture that always plays in the back of my mind when I freeze up and refrain from taking action, "If not Real Estate now, then what when?" I am definitely on board with keeping the right people in contact and building relationships because in the end, it will totally pay off....LITERALLY! I know you were mentioned earlier that you have the mindset of my favorite DG inspiration Matt Larson, but I'm thinking it'll go a step further than that. I think in the future, when the market goes up, I may just end up reading about you in a new book by Dean and I'd love to be in it as well! : ) Thanks again for the awesome power of reaching out to everyone in the DG family network and I hope to come across paths with ya someday!

Just noticed you have been in since 2009, trust me you probably have more experience than I do since you have been reading posts from this DG family and have been exposed to Dean's books much longer than I. Trust me, this works all you have to do is work this and have some fun doing it. The future looks amazing for anyone that are using these techniques. Heck the next month looks awesome if you just go out and do it.
Tell everyone you know that you are an INVESTOR and have no fear. I love Matt Larsons post "what will people be saying about you in five years" That is amazing to think about! Everyone that thinks you are nuts now will be wondering why they didn't back you after you become a multi-millionaire!

The long slow start for me is not wanting to make mistakes along with feelings of not knowing enough. I have put together a small buyers list. I have not called anyone. I see ( for sale by owners) all over the place.I listen to Dean's CD in my car. I always here something I missed before. I wish his new book was on CD too. I am still moving forward cause if I don't I will not be in control of my future. I really want total and complete control of my finance. I need my fear of mistakes to disappear.

...to see someone hop on the bandwagon and just do it instead of just talking about it for months. Great job. Maybe after reading this success story, the investors will make it a New Year's resolution to pull the trigger and move forward. Everybody can do this if they REALLY want to; just keep moving forward and the pieces will fall into place. Once again, congrats!!

Just get going! The first steps are hard but imagine in another year or two down the road what you will be saying after you have done it and you have started and you have made money about the last year and a half that you stood by being afraid! Trust me I have been afraid of success and failure, phone calls, talking to people I didn't know, but if you just TAKE ACTION and do what you have learned from Dean in the last year and a half then you will not be held back. Just go do it. YOU can help all of those people that have FSBO signs out front! you can make a buyers dream a reality when you get them into a home that has equity and it puts them in a great financial situation!

Well that was well said and probaly a relief for you to get that off you chest and done so. But problem is that it doesn't matter how much you jump up and down or hoop and hollow you can't move a dead horse like that people are just who they are and when they get tire and fed up then they will on their on
some people are never going to move regardless of what the situation is,they'd
rather just sit and watch others or compliant about every and any little thing

so good that youexpressed your feelings but after all people are just people and they do what suuds them.

What are you afraid of making a mistake doing? Just pick up the phone and call a couple of the FSBO's and start talking to them about their property for sale...let them do all the talking, remember Dean said to listen to the seller and try to solve their problem...so if you look at this as you are helping someone.. I think the fear will disappear...and just be honest in saying "I am a Real Estate Investor....they won't know any different, and go from the...if you need help getting started pm me and I will see if I can help you as I am in the next county away from you...

Just going by the comments made on this post, I think I have helped several people get a jump start. My goal wasn't to move people and get them going, it was simpy to encourage them, show that this works, and change their mindset. If I help only one person with this post (not to mention the several people that emailed me yesterday) then it was worth it. So thatks for you comment but I don't care if it moves people or not. It is up to them not me...

I like that! We just all need to be child like, when a child first learns to walk (I have a 14 month old...) they fall and fall and fall but ALWAYS get back up even when they are hurt. Kids are not afraid of failure so why are we? Get back UP! Try it again! VRBREWER... you are an investor, you will succeed, and YOU CAN do it!

I am new too, only having done six deals. I liked what you said. You seem to have went far on limited resources.

Sometimes you need to use the best means of making limited resources stretch and it seems like you have managed to do that.

It may not mean much coming from someone new here, but wonderful work. I think people can learn a lesson here.

You are tight. You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make them drink. It's great to see your progress, and keep up the good work.
