RINA'S Daily Journal: Chapter Two - The SECOND $1M

I heard there was a Rina sighting in Florida
most people go home with a shirt or necklace, I bet Rina goes home with a deed in hand.

It was great meeting you Lea & Denny the other day..Thanks so much for taking the time out of your vacation! Looking forward to that girls weekend next winter and hopefully we will have more cooperative weather.

I hope you had a safe drive to Ocala and a safe flight home! I'll be flying in a few hours as well and am pretty anxious to get home now. I read Randy's journal as you suggested and what an inspiration. I am going to look into that subject to route as that seems to be something that would fit into my goals.

Denny & I enjoyed meeting you on Tuesday! We are both so happy that we had this great opportunity. The time went by way too fast.

Denny & I have been driving around checking out abandoned homes and FSBO's. Will keep you posted.

If you are ever in the sunshine state again we'd be happy to meet up with you. Although with the weather here being what it was during your visit you may find it hard to believe it is the sunshine state.

You and Carol are such an inspiration to me. I got my books back on October, but I have not done a deal yet, but the growth in my personal life is being tremendous. I have not follow your last journal, but always read what you have to say. I am a disable retired vetaran and I really need this badly. Because I can't work liked I used to as a computer tech. But maybe that has been a blessing on disguy, because since August last year I have to stay home so I have used most of this time to read and do everything on my power to accomplish my goals. My goal is to make my first deal to join the Academy and make it to the EDGE invent. I am planning to start a journal after I join the Academy. Eventhough the lates Deans video blogs have help tremendously, specially when I get discourage.

I wish you the best and I hope you wont't get so big that you will disappear from this site. I have noticed some of the top students get frustrated when we newbies ask questions. They send us to the questions site, but sometimes all we need a simple anwser.

My life is changing every day because of Dean and this website. I am trying to put everything on autopilot liked Carol Stinson, because I cant be on the road chasing deals because of my back and legs problems and some times I don't have the means to do what I need to do. But after listening to the lates video teaching specially Jeff Jensen, I could say I have my Think Big A-Team together and I found a great Realtor agent.

It was an awesome time in Florida. And back home I've been making myself lay low on getting new deals going til Laura comes. (Can't believe it's only a week away!!!) And been connecting more with a couple local investors.

Working on some personal goals and presenting myself with new challenges, so life has been exciting.

Hope all the DG family is staying the course, believing in yourself and growing every day. Thanks again to Dean for creating a place unlike anywhere else, where we can all come together to share knowledge and encouragement and results. I'm stoked about the EDGE event, and meeting everyone there. It looks like my husband will be with. I need to show him just how great the DG Family is, and REAL!!! So I'm counting on you guys to help me make him not just a believer, but a real part of the DG family, ok?

I'll catch up with all of you later. Thank you so much for taking the time to say hi, and I'll help with what I can (and I could never leave this site. It's too much a part of me.)

Even though I'm new and havent started a journal yet, it's very obvious that you are loved, respected and admired by the whole DG family. It's not too difficult to see why. Every entry that I've read so far shows what a warm, helpful, beautiful person you are. You are like Dean's counterpart or alterego. I hope that's not the wrong thing to say, but you seem to know and have an ongoing relationship with the entire group. I feel privledged to be able to be on this site and to almost sort of know you folks. I am going to make things happen at some point and hope that I can someday even begin to help others like you have. I would like to wish you all the success in the world with your investments and thank you for being here to help others as you have in the past. Thanks again. hmmm.. WAYYYY too much to actually update, but I'll just say WOOHOO!! Laura arrived a week and a half ago and we've been on a whirlwind ever since. Looking at props, offering, signing purchase agreements, forming an LLC together (Two Friends Properties LLC), hitting the sheriff's sales, attending REI Club, dealing with the bank, property management, etc. Every day is an adventure and a blessing!!! It is a blessing to have her here!

On my end, I am working not only with Laura on Superior, Douglas Cty props, also starting a couple deals w/ my MN investor (not on mine and Laura's turf. lol). Also going to see my daughter and grandson in a couple weeks here, and of course EDGE next month!! Life is really good.

All is GREAT! It is so fun to have acquired an REI partner that shares my passion! (not that the local guys don't but, you know, I can't hang out with them too much) Just to show how much Laura and I are on the same wavelength, we looked at 5 or 6 props the other day and when we both came up with the EXACT same offer numbers. Now we can both be out looking at props and trust each other's judgement on the results of our searches. I know she wants to pick up more for herself, as do I, but we also increase our power when we work together on our combined stuff. There's more than enough to go around.
(good thought on the pond. Maybe we'll stock it with pirhannas for any other REI that gets in our way! LOL. JK!! We're both still very sweet. )

Well, gotta run! We're meeting in town in 1/2 hr to sign purchase agreements with Gail.

I was getting hurt here not hearing from my ICg'S. I was about ready to get my parachute and do a night jump ( I love those!!) into Wisconsin. Boy, now that I know you guys are ok and buying up that part of the country, I'll go back to the back deck and have a glass of Merlot. Miss you guys, see you in a month or so.....Jan

How are you today? I have been reading so much about you through your journal and through dean's blogs. I find you to be amazing!! I just finished reading both BARM,and Profit from real estate now yesterday!! every since i ordered the book(1 week ago) i have been addicted to this site!! i called the success academy yesterday and had my final interview today. I was accepted!! I am beyond excited because i am attending the EDGE event as well!! although i am terrified of planes, and have never made such a large investment in my self. I am going to do it!! I want to start off my REI career off right. I do need maybe some advice or just your thoughts on getting started as a new rei investor, overcoming the shock of making such a large investment with the Success academy and coming to the edge event. I am still excited but i am also taking Dean's advice would love to have a success buddy lol..
everyone on the site is obviously motivated by you and i hope to learn more from you as well as other DG'ERS as well.

Andrew - Thank you for the kind words. It is great to meet you! The best way to convince investors that you have better deals is to SHOW them. Once you start applying Dean’s strategies and finding those deals that are not on the MLS, you will be in demand. Laura and I just wrote out our first check to a bird-dog this week for $500. She is a new DG student and SUPER excited to have made her first income from finding us a property. (all she did was look at it with a realtor and email a little info. Pretty nice paycheck for a couple hours work, huh? )

What can I say? It has been a true blessing to have you here. I can't believe what each day brings. To think that in three short weeks we've formed a new company, made how many offers?, have 4 awesome deals under contract, enjoyed new-found REI friends together, and I've gotten to watch you bloom in a new environment along with me having the most wonderful REI partner and I could have asked for. How can it get any better? (although I know it will!)
