I felt like I was gasping for air!! I didn't realize how much I depend on coming here to record activities (even if only a fraction of them) and visit with the DG Family! I guess I'm as addicted as ever! LOL!!!!
So, as I move forward with even bigger and better REI, I look forward to keeping up with everyone's journals, sharing what we can to help each other, and rejoicing in each DG Family victory!! Dean is so awesome to keep this site going (and always for FREE!)
One thing I thought would be fun is to include some vlogs. Maybe we can get deansmedia.com to be a catalyst for sharing REI vids on a regular basis, or any of the video sites for that matter (just post a link in our threads). LOVE seeing everyone.
Oh, btw, make sure you check out the 2009 "Send Me Away, Dean" finalists announced last night. SO Exciting!!! Congrats to all the finalists, and to EVERYONE who has taken the action to change their lives this year, thanks to Dean! [edit in: CONGRATS Carol!!]

Please offer your expert opinion. I've found several pre-foreclosures due to delinquent payments. What is the best course of action if I have seller info, lender info, loan info, market values.

First you would determine if this is a property to pursue based on what is owed and FMV. If there is equity, you can talk to the owner about purchasing the property from them to help them out of their situation. If they are upside-down in their motgage (and fit other hardship criteria) you could pursue a short-sale. There are so many options and variables, of course, in each situation. Do you have a specific deal you're looking at?

Our trip to Tulsa got postponed until next month, so I haven't been down recently. When we go, if there's time, I would love to meet up with Amy and your daughters! Tulsa is a really pretty town.

thanks. i talked to Amy once in her journal but she isn't on much lately. it would be great to hear from her again. i know she is very busy. she sounds like a wonderful person. i will let my daughters know. Desiree just got a new job in Claremore and starts next week. she's real excited. Danelle works from home for an oil and gas company. they are very good to her. hopefully they will be able to schedule something to meet you. i am moving along with my investing; hope to have a deal here any time. i won't be at the EDGE this year, but i plan on meeting you there next year. have a wonderful time.

Thought I'd put this in here just in case anyone else was interested. There are a few of us going on a Hot Air Balloon ride this Thursday morning right out of Scottsdale (where the EDGE is being held). I've never done it before, so I am SO excited! The whole experience takes about 3 hrs, they start at 5am, and you're in the air for about 1-1.5 hours over the beautiful desert. Just in case anyone else is interested in going, we need to make reservations today. The cost is $160 per person. Please let me know asap if you want to go, and I'll give you the number to call and add yourself to the group.

And Randy says he wants to add another element that he hasn't tried, and maybe parachute FROM the hot air balloon to the ground (?!?). Do you happen to have a pool he can land in? I told him I don't think we'll be quite high enough for him to make a safe landing on the ground, crazy kid. LOL

Hi Rina. I haven't posted here in awhile. I really appreciate your dedication to REI and most of all your dedication to this site or should I say family. Well, the Firesky Resort & Spa is just beautiful! Got to finally meet Randy and Julie Vaughan tonight. We sat outside by the pools all lit up (the pools, not us. lol) and talked REI. Fun!! What a great couple! Can't wait for everyone else to get here and get on with the EDGE! Woohoo!!
Looking forward to tomorrow morning (5am) and our hot air balloon ride! One nice thing is the launch meeting place is only 2 miles from here, AND the time zone is 2 hours later than what us three are used to, so 5am will only feel like 7am, not bad. We'll haveta post some pics from up in the air and make everyone else just WISH they were with us.
(Next year we'll do it again. 
)
Looked at the schedule for the EDGE and got all pumped again. What a great lineup of speakers!!! Woohoo!! And Dean himself!! (wonder if Jonelle and the kids will come for lunch. Those cute little dollies.

Wasn't that cool meeting Dean tonight? He's so down-to-earth, yet full of wisdom (and concern for all his students). Awesome, too, meeting all the coaches and excited staff that came! Not to mention all the other speakers! I am SOO pumped for tomorrow and Sunday!!! no one will walk away empty-headed or empty handed, I guarantee you that. We finally met!! I cant tell you how glad I was to finally meet someone who is just a great friend to me. You were every bit the person I knew you were and more. I kinda wished John was there but maybe I can get to WI one day with my family to visit and we can meet then.
