Happy Early 4th and Yes you can!!!!

Happy Early 4th and Yes you can!!!!

Hello all,

It's Friday morning at 5:52 AM and I am sitting looking out over the water from the vacation house we rented in California. I am doing my daily routine of getting caught up on business and writing emails before my family wakes up.

Dad makes breakfast every morning and I love the bonding time. Gotta get as much kid time in while they still think I am cool;-)

As I sit here, I do my very best to be grateful for all I have, for my kids, for all of you and everything in life. I still want you to know that obstacles and challenges will always pop up no matter what level of success you achieve.

And more and more in my life I realize that success is truly about your perception of situations. Challenges don't stop coming at you, you just get better at how you process and deal with them.

Winston Churchill's quote, "the definition of success is going from failure to failure without losing your enthusiasm" could not be more in line with reality.

When you are young and you see someone successful or "rich" you tend to think they found an easier path, born under a lucky start or were handed the keys to easy street. At least I did.

Then the more success I gained and the more successful friends I made, I realized that 99.9% of the time that was not the case. Huge obstacles, monster challenges, getting through failures, personal problems, struggles and so much more was all part of the ingredients to their success.

I am not name dropping to sound cool, but I have met and/or am friends with successful people like Michael Jordan, Joel Osteen, Richard Branson, Bill Clinton, Hugh Downs and many others.

And let me tell you none of them, and I mean none of them were immune to struggle, worry, disappointment, feeling at times it could never work for them, being scared and all the feelings you may feel at one point in your life. Maybe all the time.

So back to the subject line and wishing you an early happy 4th of July. Why this email now. Well first of all, it is a wonderful holiday and I am proud to be an American and I truly believe with all the garbage and tough times we are experiencing, we still live in the greatest country in the world.

But this message was constructed because as I sit here I realize that the 4th is just about the half way point of the year. And with that I am not sure where you are half way through 2010.

If you are like so many of my students that are making money like Randy -- (you can check him out at http://www.deangraziosi.com/real-estate-forums/investing-journals/51115/... ) or so many others you may be celebrating the half way point of 2010.

On the other hand, you could be dealing with a pile of crap in your life- from personal, to business, finances and even feeling like this real estate gig just won't work for you.

I want the second group to listen up right here, right now. Life can be tough, I have had and still deal with my fair share. But more than me, so many, if not most of my countless list of successful students have been where you are, felt the way you feel. But they found the strength, realized they were the only ones who could do it for them and their family and pushed on.

The results were amazing for them. And no matter what you are thinking right now, those results can be amazing for you.

Over this holiday weekend do your best to focus on a bigger better future for yourself. The heck with doing your best, just do it. Trick yourself by imagining it is all going to work out as you hope. Let yourself dream and pretend it is not a dream, rather your reality that is just a hop, skip and a jump away.

Spend time here at www.deangraziosi.com - it has been life changing for so many, so why not YOU and why not start RIGHT NOW?!

I wish you a wonderful 4th of July and new mindset and new found success in the second half of this year.

Sincerely,
Dean

P.S. Be on the lookout for something big, really big coming your way soon;-)

Thank you again Dean

Your words of encouragement are so appreciated! Being grateful for life and all the positives has really helped distract from the negative things. Hope you enjoy the festival of lights on the boats in Newport!

Thanks again for mentioning perception, I have your quote about perceptions in my profile summary from the first time I heard you talk about perception and reality.

You've touched so many people's lives, that's more valuable than all the riches you've gained! Keep it up!

Happy 4th of July to you and your family!

God bless!

Happy July 04th!

to Dean, his family and all the DGers and their families, as well as all the soldiers out there and their families. it's easy to take our country for granted and our soldiers as well. as the mother of an active soldier, i am reminded that we all need to show our gratitude every day of the year and not just a time or two. we still live in a great country and thank God for the freedoms we enjoy. i am so thankful for this website and the great friends i have made here. this site and the friends are what keep me going most of all.

A Daily Routine

Many times we take life for granted and forget the (God) super power that has us here. Another day is not promised to no one. Therefore, as do the July 4th, everyday we have to be thankful that we have seen another sunrise, another day that will bring us success and happiness. To Dean, his staff, my fellow DGers I must convey sincere thanks for your support, encouragement, inspiration, wisdom and knowledge. Happy 4th of July, Be safe and remember no drinking (alcohol beverages) and driving. God Bless.

Sandra

Caught by surprise

What can I say Dean but Thanks Again! Your E-mail caught me by surprise and at a time that I really needed someone on my side, as it's my turn in the meat grinder right now and life is just kicking my @$$ right now on all fronts. This E-mail seemed to be a little more personal ( not that the others don't reach their goal ) it's just that you're on vacation with your family and you still have it in you to find time to reach out before making breakfast for your family. It's like "elixbrown" said above, You were talking directly to me as I was face down on the mat with the ref' counting 6!7!8!9!. Your tenacity to continue to lead by example screamed GET UP! YOU'VE BEEN THROUGH WORSE! LET'S GO! We've got work to do.... And with that you reversed my whole perception and saved me from a weekend of "dread". Thank You my friend, May you and your family have a fantastic July 4th here in Newport Beach, enjoy the boatlight show in a boat crusing along if you can, take the ferry across to Balboa Island and the kids to the Fun Zone and enjoy the walks on both piers, watch out for the riptides while in the water and try to secure some beach front property for us while you're here, Yeah! The D.G. Family Timeshare - Newport Beach, Ca., Yeah!,That sounds good to me! What da ya think Rina!? Have Fun, Be Safe and we'll talk to you soon Dean, Thanks Again!, Manny

What an awesome heart!!!

Happy 4 July

Dean like you always tell us life have a lot of up and down. But you take that ride on that roll coaster once min you up and the next you down. I tell myself this is a test and if you let the test bet you your dream die. So I'm saying keep encouragement us to move forward. Dean have a Happy 4 with your family. God Bless

Happy 4th to you too Dean! Family time is very precious, and don't worry, I have 2 teenagers and they still love being around us! Enjoy your vacation!

Hey, I came across a potential development deal in Newport, and I going to try to PM it to you. It is too big for me alone, it is not on the MLS and only went out to a select group of people, somehow I am on the list??

Dean,

Happy 4th of July to you and your family! Have a fun and fantastic vacation! Thank you for everything you do to help so many of us. I love the 'Yes you can' in the title of this post, they are strong and powerful words. It's so cool that you make breakfast for your little ones you are creating memories that will last a lifetime. You mention being grateful often. How true and important this is.

Lea

Thanks Dean

Thanks again for taking time away from your family to give us some more great in site. It really helps when you talk about the reality of life in general. And to let us know that no matter were we are at its not always going to be easy. The difference between wining and losing is what we as people chose to do with it. So each day I have a choice, Am I a winner today, Or do i chose to be a loser.

All I can say is WOW!

Dean,
Once again you have brought light to me and my little world. Throughtout the last few weeks I have been on this site everyday and when I seem to hit a bump in my road I get an email from you that seems to be talking DIRECTLY to me. I can be selfish at times so on this note, you ARE talking to me and I appreciate that so much! I needed that today and I want to say thanks from the bottom of my heart and soul.

Happy 4th of July to everyone and GOD bless all of you. Keep coming to this site, read all the posts, ask questions and reach for help if you need it. There is alot of people that come to this site and your post just may hit a cord and they just may respond to you offering this or that. Be grateful and keep working at it as if its the last thing you will do on this earth. Just remember one thing, you took the first step and ordered Deans Books, you took a leap of faith... now don't let yourself down by only doing it half way. YOU MUST DO IT FOR YOU NOW because if you dont you will be in the same place in the weeks / years to come. This site has so much to offer... put the work in and read the site, follow the suggestions and I am sure we will all be where we truly want to be... happy!

Closing my little book, but thank you to everyone that has been a insperation (sp) to me and has helped me through some rough spots... I appreciate all of you!

Happy Fourth!

During the American Revolution, the legal separation of the American colonies from Great Britain occurred on July 2, 1776, when the Second Continental Congress voted to approve a resolution of independence that had been proposed in June by Richard Henry Lee of Virginia. After voting for independence, Congress turned its attention to the Declaration of Independence, a statement explaining this decision, which had been prepared by a Committee of Five, with Thomas Jefferson as its principal author. Congress debated and revised the Declaration, finally approving it on July 4.

In a remarkable coincidence, both John Adams and Thomas Jefferson, the only signers of the Declaration of Independence to later serve as President of the United States, died on the same day: July 4, 1826, which was the 50th anniversary of the Declaration. [Wikipedia] See the Movie "1776".

The Fourth of July is the day we give thanks to those who fought and gave their lives for these United States of America then and presently. To everyone out here in DG Country enjoy your 4th and make it a safe one - God Bless.

Yes, it's true, I CAN!

Yes, I can do it. I CAN DO IT, I CAN DO IT. It's true. Just looked at a bunch of properties yesterday and my very experienced agent was even feeling discouraged at the market here. I got home and my air conditioning had broken down on the hottest day of the year so far. It's 110 in Phoenix! It's JULY!!! So how much will that cost?!?!?

But even in the heat last night, I looked at my comps again and told my agent that those are still good deals...the comps show it and I know that sometimes the best money can be made at the bottom of the market. SO LET'S DO IT!

We all need a few words of encouragement now and again, so thanks Dean!

Happy Early 4th and Yes you can!!!!

Happy Early 4th to All as well & GOD BLESS AMERICA!
Gratitude. I am immensely grateful for my health, my talents, my wife, my pets, my intuition, my foresight, my spirituality, my humor, my creativity, my enthusiasm, and All of you!

I and the family are sitting here, (well as of the moment just I and Roxy our Rottweiller) listening to the stir of aerial bombardment. I am in Chicago so it sometimes tends to be quite loud, late and lengthy with the celebrations, bbq's etc. Doggie has calmed down somewhat, thankfully, without the use of meds Smiling.

I was out back with the Mrs. yesterday playing gardener and pruner.
Rather quiet, though mid-afternoon to early evening we agreed to tidy up the large Rose-of-Sharon trees in the yard. Upon coming to my aide with the stepladder, my wife struck up a conversation with the elderly neighbor man from across the alleyway. My wife noticed there was a large or noticeable amount of discarded goods near the trash of his house and asked: "Did you guys get water?", in relation to the monsoon like rains we'd been having. Now, knowledgeable of the fact that we have this property for sale. The elderly man snapped: "Actually, we're gonna sell ours before you sell yours"
OK...I thought, this coming from the gentlemen that's been living there for more than 45 years. I thought just to chalk it up to sneyd, obnoxious and rude remarks. This is the same man that exclaimed to me while I was modernizing and beautifying the detached garage:"Whatcha doin' all that for? It's ONLY a garage!". WELL, here it came, like a loaded gun, like an upper cut to the ribs, like a train with a cowscoop. He proceeded to tell us how his 42yr young daughter has cancer. Stage 1, ovarian or uterus. With today's technology and medical breakthroughs, everyone should be like: snip, cut, tuck, done, piece of cake. However, for my wife and I it's more like hearing the absolute worst. This, being due to the "Double-Wammy" of both her mother, and my mother passing within a few recent years of the terrible "C".
Anyways, apologies for my vivid painting of the scenario, I tend to be, well, vivid.

Along with the trash heaped up by the neighbor's cans, we seen a bed. Thought it was from a few neighbors further down. Now this WAS NOT a 5yr old kids bed that was stained, or had broken springs, or was ripped, or rotted. On the contrary this particular bed had to be OVER 50 years old, it was a twin sized, perhaps from her childhood, in "aged" condition. The daughter had been using this for most of her adolescent and well into her adult life.

It Turns out, that our older neighbor (The Father) stated:"I decided to get "her" a New Bed". It took a monumental or benchmark tragedy to have this man part with some of his stockpiled, hoarded finances to get something such as a bed for his daughter. Let me just say, I know for fact, this person to be comfortably financed enough to make it to regular trips to the casino boats, bingo events and so on.

I am not judging my neighbor. I am using their experience to be that much more GRATEFUL for everyone & everything I have the luxury of having.

Knowing Life is Short, Our Days are Numbered, and You Can't Take It with You has helped me evolve and not only change my life but others as well. Most friends and family have grown to dislike the "New & Improved" J&J. However, it seems like now we have other neighbors and strangers fighting over who gets to spend time with us these days. I don't know if this is good, bad or ugly. But, I embrace change now, try ever so hard to excercise self-control, keep patient, and I will always remain ABUNDANTLY GRATEFUL.

Jason

Happy 4th of July Dean!

On total overwhelm

I need to find a little mantra to get through these hard times. I wake up and have immediate anxiety. Getting married in 7 days! That might have something to do with it. There is a whole list of other challenges that I won't dump here including structural, plumbing, and financial issues. Sounds like the real estate investment business doesn't it?

Proud to be an American! Thank you to each one of you who have served in the armed forces and to your family for the sacifices they've made to keep us free and safe.
