Offline....We always enjoy celebrating milestones and anytime we can celebrate with a little cake, that is always a good thing.
Checking the calendar, 04/28/2011, I discovered that Indiana-Joe is 2 years old today. Just like any rambling toddler, you have to crawl before you walk and once you master walking, running is not too far behind.
It was on a 4 hour plane ride home from Dean's First ever Gain the EDGE 2009 live event that we decided we had to take action and commit to our goals with real estate. We decided when we returned home on 04/28/2009 that we would each become members of the DG.com website. We had to choose a name and finalize a plan for real estate.
Looking back there were a few names to consider, with a few of the choices being Chicago-Joe, Maui-Joe, and then settling on "Indiana-Joe", because, it had a ring to the adventure that was ahead.
I setup my new DG.com account and it showed I had 10 points as a new member. My DG.com user point balance would grow a little over the next 2 years. 
In the beginning, I was nervous to make a posting or respond to other postings, because, I did not want to say the wrong thing. Other investors on the website were friendly so, I decided to jump in with both feet.
During the day we would encounter many naysayers giving solid reasons why real estate could not be done. Then at night, we found other like minded investors on DG.com that told us it could be done! This was awesome to have this support structure of other investors to provide inspiration and information.
Each day became a new adventure and it was fun to share and learn each day. Never would I have ever imagined where this journey would have lead us.
Sometimes I look back and think, Could buying a real estate book from TV really have this type of change on our lives? ABSOLUTELY! Could attending a real estate training event change our future? MOST DEFINITELY!
If you are ready and want speed in the learning curve, what is the value of information, training, coaching? PRICELESS! If you have the will, there is a way!
Sometimes one decision can change the direction or the path in your life. In 2 short years I have been able to do things that I never imagined doing. Pursing real estate, doing what I have a passion for and helping others along the way, it does not get any betetr than that!
Thank you Dean, for sharing your information, insight, techniques, books and programs with all of us. This real estate adventure has been beyond our wildest expectations an dreams. Most days I have to pinch myself to believe the journey and this ever unfolding adventure.
I have seen many real estate markets than I could imagine and have been able to mentor other investors along the way. If each day you can do what your true passion is, the world would have a totally different feel than the 9 to 5 grind of a JOB. So, keep pushing forward each day and your goals and dreams are much closer than you know!
The terrible twos?......Like any agressive 2 year old, we are going to start running and getting into new things. Who knows where we might go or where we might end up? We will take action and continue on with this amazing adventure! Believe and Achieve! - Joe

You are such an inspiration to new investors like me. I could totally relate when you said you felt nervous to even post here when you were new just for the fear of saying the wrong things. I follow your Journal and it is so motivating and inspiring. I just need to overcome that fear within me and go right ahead and take action. I am sure I will succeed like you once I start taking Action!!

I can't believe it has been two years. It seems like EDGE 2009 was just yesterday and that flight home, I remember it well. We had so much fun on that Southwest Flight, thinking of our names and coming up with our plan.
Thank you Joe- for all you do, not just for me, but for everyone. I am so lucky that so many people get to be touched by an amazing man and that man happens to be my husband. You inspire and amaze me- everyday.
I was telling someone I met today the difference between a job and a career. She told me that they were one in the same, but they are not. I believe a job is something that you work at from 9-5 and you get nothing from it. A career is something you do for life and it is your passion. I know real estate is our passion and I am so happy that we get to share our passion with so many other people and we get to do it together. Now that my friend is PRICELESS!!!!!!!!!!!!
