looking over my shoulder

I just filled out the 'About Me' on my profile and then started a journal. When I posted it this new weekly blog was up.
Dean seems to be looking over my shoulder. My plan is to take things slow to make sure I learn and prepare myself without rushing into things. Dean releases this blog and again it feels like he is talking directly to me to reasure me.

Thank you, Dean.

Scott

I agree

I totally agree with Dean and the comments by Scott. Sometimes we feel that success should be achieved now, however, if it is not the right time it could cause a series of problems. Research, planning, and execution produces outcome. I must admit that I have some time or another rushed into things without taking another look at the process and the consequences were disastrous. The year 2010 will be different, I am taking it in strides, because I will like to complete the journey safe and sound. Thanks Dean for your kind words of encouragement. God Bless.

Thanks for taking the time to do another weekly video blog for us. Can you believe 2009 is almost in the history books! Thanks for the words of encouragement. I know the hardest critic for someone can be ourselves so it is so important for each of us to remember to celebrate each small accomplishment as we achieve those levels or "plateaus of success" as you have called them. I know 2010 is going to be "the Year of the DG Student Investors!" Believe in 2009 and Achieve in 2010! HAPPY NEW YEAR! Smiling - Joe

Thank you, DG

Thank you for your insight on how to set tangible, more "realistic" goals that will set me up to win. I've tended to set loaded goals that set me up for disappointment.

Thanks Dean

A word of caution: we must make sure we all take at least small steps. As Dean has said, if we over analyze we become paralyzed. We must have faith in ourselves and trust in the knowledge we gain through Dean and the DG family. If we wait for every thing to be perfect, we may have a long wait.

Thanks Dean

A New Year

This new year is my year...the year I choose to act and defy the wants, norms, and desires that have been ingrained since youth. To create a new me absolved of all that I was told to believe. This new year I choose to set goals that are both real and attainable. To set simple goals that I will feel good about and will change who I am for the best. When those goals are met, new goals will be selected that will test my new abilities and beliefs that will continue to help evolve me into the best person possible. It's because of people like Dean and the DG Family that provide the synergy to make change, Thank You!

Thank you Dean!

Thanks Dean for the oh so timely video. I have been off on vacation for a week now and have been driving my family crazy. I have been so into researching for financing and e-mailing realtors, looking at properties that some days I have gone most of the day without eating. I so wanted to start working on getting a rental this week and fixing it up that I put myself under such tremendous pressure that I felt like popping. My wife has always said I'm all or nothing. I throw myself into projects so hard sometimes that I burn myself out or ignore everything around me.

So I want to say you have amazing timing this weeks blog couldnt have been more perfect for me. While I was listening to it my wife was laughing at me in the back ground saying I told you so.

Thank you and keep the blogs coming

Lance

I love you Dean!!! LOL

Hey Dean,

Happy holidays from our home to yours. Thanks for putting things into perspective for us coming into the new year.

I have a goal to get all my accounting into a Quickbooks program and have spent the better part of the day having a melt down! I hate accounting and have finally hired a book-keeper to help me put it together.

My goal in the coming year is to master the program that we get together so everything I want to see is in one easy place. Procrastination has put me into December so I am having to back track.

I dont' want to babble on any longer but wanted to say thanks! Sometimes it's the small things that we put into place that will make everything run more efficently and smoothly. Be it our health, finances or resolutions whatever they may be!

As always your words of wisdom come at the perfect time. Happy New Years everyone here on the DG site and may your 2010 be prosperous and healthy!!!

Sincerely,
Angie Novigrod Eye-wink

Thank You Kindly Dean!

Your video blogs are very inspiring and motivating and it is good that you do them. I am busy doing the research and reading the book. I still believe that the most challenging part about profiting from real estate is getting started.
Iam setting goals to find the time to make money! Happy New Year to all!!

Thanks Dean

I really appreciated your encouraging words. I am new to the business and find myself spread thin over the holidays as I tend to set my standards high and multitask to keep my head above water. The advice to slow down and take small but measurable steps toward my goals is just what I needed to hear, so once again...Thank You!

HAPPY NEW YEAR.

Brenda

One small step at a time

Thank you Dean,

After years and recent months I've come to the same conclusion. I've been beating my head against the wall only to get nowhere fast. Recently I've subdued my passions to being better prepared for eveything I do. I've done a lot with the information and guidance that you have provided. But, I need to do a great deal more work in preparation to ensure that "I" know what I'm doing. One day I'll tell you a story of how you are helping me professionally, as well as personally. Happy New Year and best wishes to you and your family. May we all have have a great 2010.

Thanks for the great blog. We will be sure to set reasonable goals for this coming year. Believe me, I've set some goals in life that were just not possible within that time limit I set for. I've learned start small, work your way up, and you will find success. Jan and I are going to push ourselves this year, we are setting big goals that we know we can reach with the time and work we put in. Thank you again for the inspiration. I don't know how many times I can say it, but you really have changed my life for the better. I look up to you so much, you've built so much, and I know one day I can have what you have if I work hard enough. God bless you and your family. Happy new year and best wishes from the bottom of my heart.

Wishing All DG Members a Happy, Healthy and Wealthy New Year

I would like to extend a great big "THANKS" to my DG family for your insight and willingness to help. A quote that I like to keep in mind is that it isn't so much what lies behind or in front of us that matters but that which lies inside of us. May God bless each one of you.

Thanks and Greetings

Happy New Year

I am sure we all know the saying "slow and steady wins the race". Not bad to keep in mind when starting the winning wheel for 2010. Darren and I (DGBeck.com) moved slowly, read everything we could get our hands on,talked to everyone we met in the RE investing business, and joined local REIA, since we joined Dean's family early in 2009. We kept in mind that education was key and perseverence would win over all. We bought and subsequently sold our first (a duplex) this month (Dec)and are looking forward to using our knowledge in 2010. We put in 3 offers yesterday with the hope of course that one will stick. Looking at putting in 2 more offers today. So, for all out there still struggling, be steady in moving forward and you will win. Best wishes to all for 2010!
