What Will People Be Saying About You In 5 Years?

What Will People Be Saying About You In 5 Years?

First of all I just want to thank each and everyone of you for all the nice things you say to me. I truly don't deserve it. I'm just a regular guy. I also want to apolagize for not responding to PM's. It is a full time job and I can't keep up. I hope you understand.

My question to you is this:

What will people be saying about you in 5 years? Just imagine the possibilities. Stop and dream for a minute. Will they say "wow I never thought he would make it, but he did" or "Wow how did he afford that car and that house?" or "How is it possible that he owns 50 houses, I know his parents?"

Or Maybe Guys will she say "Honey i'm sorry I didn't believe in you in the beginning because you have proven me wrong, you are great provider" or "Thank you sooo much for continueing to endure the pain of the process so you could save our family"

Gals...maybe they will say "How did she buy and sell all those houses this year?" or "I can't believe a girl can afford to drive that car"

I used to dream about what people would say about me. I thought about it every time I had a bad day, or a bad month--it kept me going because I could see then end result before it happened.

Stop and dream...

Everything I thought they would say--they do--plus a whole lot more. Become the person it takes to change lives, believe you can do it too. Have the attitude that you can't be denied and you won't. Dream big and push hard. God Bless!

Climbing up the mountain

Matt,
I'm recharged and dreaming big. Somtimes life throws a curve ball and we mistake it for a potential homerun. That's what happened to me the last few months. I went down a path I thought led to my goal, but it hasn't. So I'm reassessing and taking deep breaths. Like you say "winners play hurt". So a couple of bandaids, and here I go. People are going to say "She wouldn't quit. She didn't care what we said. And look at her now, vacationing again!"
I'm beyond excited with the soon coming opportunity to work with you.
Many blessings,
Gena

Matt...

The post is right on time. The year is ending and it is a good time to reflect on all of things that we have done this year, and all the things that are still left to do. Dreaming is so important, it lays the foundation to get up and get after it. Wish you continued success. And by the way you do deserve the praise you get because you continuously provide people with a hope on this site.

Matt, Thank you so much for

Matt,

Thank you so much for giving back to all the investors in the DG Family. You provide so much encouragement, and I just wanted to say i appreciate it so much. I try and read all your post old and new, because they are full of good information and are always uplifting. Whenever I have a bad day or the struggles seem so large that I will never be able to overcome them, I always think about you and how successful you have become starting in REI with nothing but a dream.

After putting in many offers I finally have my first house under contract that I will be assigning. I am working very hard to flip it over to another investor and have courage because of you already paving the path for people like me. Thanks so much!

i read about you...

you know, reading about your story and how you over came all those obsticles that you had is inspiring. People told you that it doesnt work, your not going to make it and you lost your girlfriend also. So much things to go through and you never stopped. you kept pushing through and kept climbing. Your story inspires me to know that if i have that kind of never give up, never quit even though theres a lot of obsticles, to never stop climbing. Thank you Matt for never giving up.

Thanks Matt!

Matt,
Thank-you for all the great words of wisdom and having everyone take a personal look at themselves.
Your story has been such an inspiration to us all.
Never stop dreaming!!

This is a Great Post

This post is very motivational!! Never really thought about things this way, makes me think a little and dream even bigger.

I hope people say "Wow Jason was right when he said he was gonna be real estate multimillionaire". "I believed in him but didn't think he would really do it and look how many people he helped out along the way". He has the house, the cars, a great family, the money and all the free time he desires". It must feel great to be him".

And I will say YES it does feel great to be me!!!!!

P.S. Thanks Matt for this post

All the best, Jason B

Matt!

Hey Matt...always great to hear from you. I am so proud of you Matt for all you have accomplised and thanks so much for all the help you gave me in the beginning and helped to give me a "kick start." You, Rina, Elena, Sully and some others were my angels right here on the board. And now about 26 deals later....
In 5 years I hope to hear people say.."Man she has sure accomplished a lot in real estate and has a very successsul life.. but she always kept God and family first." I want to hear that most of all.

Great Points

Matt,

Great points of view... We have got to dream in order to achieve. We all have it in us, we just have to believe and work like the ****ens to get there.

Thanks,

Ty

Matt

Great to here from you, And yes i already understand how hard it is to stay caught up on the PMS. I never thought in my wildest dreams I would be were I am at today. But the amazing part is were I will be in a year from now with my new found parterens and getting a long turn plan into action. And yes this does take some work. Without the right teams in place it would be impossibly. Still looking at doing 20 deals a month. I never dream this was possible when i started 2 years ago with a bankruptcy no job and a town of 5000. I guess the bottom line is how bad do you want it.

Great post Matt. I agee 100% with seeing yourself where you want to be and then making it happen. Don't care what anyone says about me or I would have given up when I heard all the comments like hows your business doing, are you rich yet, hows the scam going to name a few lol.
Every one - Keep focused on your goals and work on getting there, Just keep doing the work and never EVER give up on your dream.

best of luck to all!!
Richie

you can have anything you want in life, as long as your willing to work for it.

How encouraging

What a nice post, Matt. Thanks.

Dream big

Hi Matt! First off let me say that its great reading about you in Dean's book. The examples and information you shared is excellent for someone like myself trying to start out with almost nothing. I'm really working on getting the 25:1 method and I'm working with some real estate agents now and I think I found someone that might fit the format.
I often think to myself about the future. Especially when I'm feeling down or learning something new that excites me. I really envision all the great things I can accomplish and it is a great feeling. I almost get a taste of what that life will be like when I get there. Dreaming is important, we all deserve a dream, and we all can make it happen. Our difficult pasts are what make us appreciate the future's challenges even more. I wish everyone success and I really like this post Matt!

thank you Matt

Matt

thanks for the encouragement and advice

Thanks Matt

Matt as always, we look forward to hearing from you. Thanks for your words of encouragement and suggestion on reflection. It is only when we reflect on what might have been if we had, could it push us to what we need to do. Let's me honest, we have to get serious and do less talking and more action. I remembered earlier on, we were encouraged to spent some time on site, some time planning, some time house hunting, some time acting to acquire the deal, some time to celebrate and to get right back to the next deal. These are words that needs to be re-iterated to get each other to take action. Thanks for a great post. God Bless.

Sandra
